Materialized on table prebulit view

Hi all

I created a materialized on pre-constructed table view, my approach is the following.

Database table:

create table test1

(number of IDNs,

INAME varchar2 (10));

Insert into test1 values(1,'aa');

Insert into test1 values(2,'cc');

Creating table presets:

create table test2 as

Select * from test1, where 1 = 2;

View with the same name of table pre-constructed materialized created today.

create materialized view test2 ON TABLE PRECONSTRUITS

REFRESH THE STRENGTH TO DEMAND

AS select * from test1;

Now add an additional column of table predefined

ALTER table test2 add flag varchar2 (1);

Now the first time I'm doing a complete refresh of mview

exec dbms_mview.refresh('test2','C');

Now the problem here is...

1. If the test1 database table has a primary key on mview test2 is get updated with any problem.

2. If the Base table is not a primary on key then mview update which gives the following error.

Error at startup to the line: 59 in command.

exec dbms_mview.refresh('test2','C')

Error report-

My requirement is to create mview on pre-built table where I don't have the primary key on the base table and I have to add additional mview columns as soon as it is created, please help me solve this problem

My requirement is to create mview on pre-built table where I don't have the primary key on the base table

You must use ROWID materialized views

Oracle supports materialized views of ROWID materialized views in addition to primary keys of default. A ROWID materialized view is based on the physical row identifiers (ROWID) lines of a master. ROWID materialized views can be used for views materialized, based on masters tables that do not have a primary key, or views materialized that are not all the columns in the primary key of the master tables.

Materialized view Concepts and Architecture

Also, to do this, the type of materialized view log should be of rowid.

The following types of materialized view logs:

  • Primary key: records of the materialized view replaces the master table or master materialized view based on the primary key of the affected rows.
  • The row ID: records of the materialized view replaces the table master or master materialized view based on the rowid of the affected rows.

    People,

    Hello. I'm working on the PeopleSoft application that runs on the database server Oracle 11 g 1 top material.

    I run the MSK_CFG, but it returns the error: Table or view does not exist. Has no SQL statement: Truncate Table user.PS_MSK_CFG_TAO4.

    I run the SQL to SQL statement > as below:

    SQL > select * from the user. MSK_CFG_TAO;
    SQL > select * from user.PS_MSK_CFG_TAO;
    SQL > select * from user.PS_MSK_CFG_TAO4;

    All the 3 tables above are non-existent.

    I checked the application designer, the MSK_CFG_TAO table is a temporary table with 4 fields. This table is the database. PS_ is before the table MSK_CFG_TAO fix. and the PS_MSK_CFG_TAO4 table is an instance of the temporary table MSK_CFG_TAO.

    I do not understand how to handle this kind of error.

    My question is:

    How to solve the Temorary MSK_CFG_TAO and PS_MSK_CFG_TAO tables are not exist in SQL > fast during the temporary table MSK_CFG_TAO is actually in the database?

  • Insufficient private error when creating a materialized using link DB view!

    Hello

    I have a two db1 and db2 databases.
    I created a link to database db2 to access schema user1 in db1.
    When I try to create a materialized view by accessing the user1 user "user2" using table in the db2 database, I get error "ORA-1031: insufficient privilege.

    User2 has privileges 'create view', 'create any view', 'create a materialized view' etc.

    I am able to select the data in the table using the database link, but creating a materialized view gives this error.

    I want to know if the "user1" user should be granted no privilege to User2, if so how is it possible that user2 dosent exist in db1.
    IE I would order something like ' grant select on user1.table to user2@db2 "(ce travail dosent comme il dit user2@db2 dosent existe, bien évidemment par sa prise user2@db2 comme un nom d'utilisateur dans le schéma de db1)".

    or is this a problem with User2 in the db2 database privileges, if so, what are all the privileges that have to give User2 in db2 schema.

    Kind regards

    Hello

    You can access the table directly using the link db...?
    You create the MV on the local table...?

    try to check whether or not the following privileges are

  • System table or view in oracle to contain the error message

    Hello

    I created a group Materialized View Refresh. and execution in a single schema.

    Start
    DBMS_REFRESH. Refresh ('TEST');
    end.

    There is a lot of reason for the failure of execution of the Group MV refresh (such as network, change of base table problem). At the time of the failure of execution of oracle to refresh group displays an error code and error message.

    Question: -.
    Could pelase propose you any system table or view in the oracle database that can contain any error message and error number? I have to get this error without exception handling in pl/sql block.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Vinod Gupta.

    As I mentioned, there are exceptions that you can't intercept. If this work of dbms_refresh.refresh ('TEST'); results in an exception fatal server (usually an ORA-600 or an error ORA-07445 ), you can not only catch a PL/SQL block exception. All you will see (if you have a client session), is the "+ ORA-03113 end-of-file on communication channel +" error.

    Yes, you can catch a number of other exceptions. And Yes, you can write these exceptions to the errorlog table.

    Create a package error log that makes the insertion in the errorlog table. Use an autonomous transaction because it allows the error log to insert without making all existing transactions.

    Also record all PL/SQL of the error stack trace, because it helps to determine where the exception occurred. Something like dbms_utility.format_call_stack allows to get the call stack and insert this result in the error log line in the error log table.

    Then call this package since the exception handler for the refresh job.

    But before you do, you need to consider whether or not you remove this exception or not. If you do, then Oracle work process does not see this exception and think that the work has been a success. It you do not have, the process will be the exception, to realize the task failed and reported that employment for re-delivery.

    So basically, your refresh job will look something like this:

    begin
      dbms_refresh.refresh ('TEST');

    exception when OTHERS then
      -- the package will record the actual SQLCODE error and call stack
      errorLog.saveException( appErrorMessage => 'Refresh job for TEST failed' );

      -- we want the job processor to see the error and reschedule the job for execution
      raise;
    end;

    Save nqquery.log which connection pool is used to send the query to the DB. Then check the configuration of the Connection Pool to see what user credentials are used to connect to the database, to which database (DSN), and if the table owner prefix is added to the SQL.

    ORA-00942 can often be due to the existing table, but the user trying to access him confer no rights. Rather than say 'no permission', Oracle will say 'does not exist.

  • table or view does not exist error when you try to generate tables of database online.

    Hello

    I use Jdeveloper 12 c and is trying to generate tables of a database in offline mode, I created, for a connection of database online. The error message that appears is:

    java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.

    More information:

    The database I use is Oracle11g Database Release 2. And I get a warning saying that the 12 c functionality will be lost when generating an 11 g database.

    In addition, the problem occurs only when I have foreign key constraints in my table. All the other tables that have no foreign key constraints generates very well.

    Any ideas why this happens?

    Thank you!

    Instead of directly generating the DB, generate a sql script. Then, you see the generated statement and can run the script using a db sql worksheet.

    If you get the error, you can view the script here.

    A functioning test environment code development. All models have been migrated using the synonym and the project had to be imported using Mode Duplication.

    The project had two dimension and makes loads... Dimensions has been properly run, its only that all the facts are a failure...

  • Table or view does not exist

    Hi all

    I'm on banner

    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.4.0 - Production
    CORE 11.2.0.4.0 Production
    TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.4.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.4.0 - Production

    My OraDB database has 5 patterns,

    S1, S2, S3, S4, S5

    Where S1 a table T1 that select grant is given to the schema of S2, S3 and S4.

    Where as drawing S5 has grant SELECT ANY TABLE.

    I had a scenario where I am compiling or using (immediate execution) to the scheme of access Table T1 of S1.

    But I got error in the Table or view exists doensn can't.

    So what I've done to check if the syntax is correct, I printed SQL_Variable that holds the query before his execution in EXECUTE IMMEDIATE.

    This SQL execute print find a TOAD or SQLPLUS, but when the same variable is running inside EXECUTE IMMEDIATE I get error

    Table or view does not exist.

    To keep the overlap on this, I ran

    SQL executed: {code} select column_name from S1. T1 {code} in TOAD and SQLPLUS, it ran successfully, but when I placed it inside the package it threw error table or view does not exist.

    Grant you permissions to T1 through a role?

    Roles are not active during run immediately or stored procedures.

    Error:

    com.sunopsis.dwg.function.SnpsFunctionBaseException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Thanks in advance

    Kind regards

    Vivek

    Hi 2700773,

    "PRACTICE. GENERATION' is not a valid table name. You must only give the name of the table, not the schema name. You can also give a list of table, separated by a comma, or a table name masks using % and _ like wildcards.

    As for your previous question? Is it resolved? Please give us a feedback or close the message if it's over.

    Kind regards

    JeromeFr

  • Error (301,28): PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Hi all

    11.2.0.3.10

    AIX6

    I was installing store_procedures on our PROD several times, and they are successful. This stored_procedures are created by developers and once tested on DEV & UAT, they are transferred to the PROD through me.

    But this time I install a new SP, but I got error > Error (301,28): PL/SQL: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Even if the synonym. The owner of the schema of the SP has grant select on the table and synonym of created. Why not MS can see this synonym?

    Is there something that I missed?

    Help, please... I'm going crazy

    Thank you all,

    MK

    Since there is only one user in your role, so I'll suggest to directly grant you the user rather than role - it's the easiest and simplest account according to your needs. The roles are best used to organize all of the users. If ever it is necessary to use roles (i.e. multiple users/schemas in a role) then, I think, you can play with AUTHID clause creating blocks.

  • ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_XMLGEN", (ORA-00942: table or view does not exist)

    Hey guys, it's Xev.

    I decide to use SQL and XML and it works in a scenario, but in another scenario, is not.

    Here's the Code, I'm passing to two variables, first of all, I spend in the table table_name, and then I spend in the schema.

    If I connected it with "user" and that it seeks it's own pattern, he found the results, as for example, but if I try to run this code while not

    connected to the same user I'm looking for more, I get this error.

    ORA-19202: an error has occurred in the processing of XML

    ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    ORA-06512: at "SYS." DBMS_XMLGEN", line 288

    ORA-06512: at line 1

    19202 00000 - "an error has occurred in the treatment of XML %s.

    * Cause: An error occurred during the processing of the XML function

    * Action: Check the given error message and resolve the problem appropriate

    /*-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    This code works only you are connected to the user you are looking on.

    But if you're looking for a different user tables, it is kicking up and gives the above XML error...

    Can someone please explain how works (DBMS_XMLGEN) and why it is throwing this error?

    Thank you

    Xev.

    It has nothing to do with DBMS_XMLGEN. GETXMLTYPE. It simply means the user running your SQL has no select privileges on the table & SCHEMA_NAME. & TABLE_NAME.
