Means on the design of the phone

There is a reason why people with iphones have to read the sites side the longest possible hight rather longer than the width side is to say that they read a site with the phone on its side. My site is readable size down to iphone diagonal size on my computer of 3.5 "would be possible to somehow he cut and paste existing pages in phone plan. Resolution of the screen on p0hones might be able to make it unreadable. I don't know anything about it, that I'm looking for advice. My site is mainly text.

I find the opposite with regard to Smartphone users. The only time I ever use or horizontal and even for almost everyone I know is to use a horizontal orientation only when you love for when sites do not have a mobile version. If the phones have a user-friendly version of phone it is almost always in a vertical position. It's just the natural way to hold a phone.

Most people use vertical orientation for the most part it is because almost all phone apps re built for vertical orientation (although they will work in horizontal) so that's what users are accustomed.

But back to the phone why websites are scaled down. It is not because what you leave out is worthless, it's because:

1: most of the people still have to pay for data transfer on their phones and usually have a cap which is included in their plan. Exceed the permitted amount becomes extremely costly to most of the suppliers.

2: mobile data transfer is way slower than wifi or your connection at home/office. Mobile data transfer can still consider too close to dial-up speed.

3: it for the elements like videos, photo galleries (unless it's a site of photographer of course) are left out. They take just too much time to load and can be expensive for the user.

4: no one will read the pages of text on a phone either. The people who are their phones are more liekly to accurate information quickly. You can still have a link to the site of office of your mobile site that users can click on if they want more information than what he what's on the mobile site.

5: another big reason why mobile websites are different is because you have already tried clicking on a text link of small size with big fingers on a phone? Very frustrating. Thus greater need of buttons.
