Media Center does not work on Equium A100-147

Hello
I have a little problem with my media center. It used to work fine, but recently, I decided to wipe the hard drive.

I used the boot disk to reinstall windows media center edition 2005. However, when you try to load the Media Center, I get the error message:
"Your video card or drivers are not compatible with Media Center" and it will not play videos when media center then opens upward.

Now, I downloaded all the updates that are available from microsoft for windows and I ve downloaded the latest drivers from Intel for the graphic accelerator card.
I am really at my wits end, Ive used this microsoft program to detect the decoder and it is both compatible with windows media player and windows media center and is set as default.

I saw on another thread, someone having a similar problem, which was solved by going to "run", type "dxdiag" and enable direct features, however mine was already activated.

If someone could help me I would be very grateful, thank you for your time.

It is really strange. Your satellite notebook comes with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and it should work. What kind of videos you want to use. Original DVD movies?

In any case, using google, you can find a lot of interesting comments for this theme.

A man simply offers the solution:

+ Just open regedit, then tap on +.
+ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Media Center\Display parameters +.

+ Then add 2 KEYS to DWORD called DisableDxCheck and DisableDx9CapsCheck and their two values 1 and Media Center should start without problem.

You can test it.

Now, windows media Center does not work correctly. Very slow to do anything whatsoever at all, let alone play music

    Any suggestions please

Try to uninstall, reboot, reinstall, restart WMC according to the http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/26107/how-to-reinstall-windows-media-player-in-windows-7-to-solve-problems/ article is for WMPlayer but just to check the entry of WMCentre instead.

  • Qosmio G20 - its Media Center does not work properly

I do not often use the TV tuner, but when I went to save a program of the week last I found that I was getting loud hissing and sound distortion. Although I could play back a few straight recorded music.

I ran the TV Tuner, settings and which seemed to cure her.

I wanted to watch this program and I found that I was getting the loud hiss once again and when I run the program saved it seems to run fast. But now recorded music also does not work.

I ran settings again but no difference this time.

I open the Volume control window

Adjust balance on volume control and hissing on the channel left and music distorted on right channel - running pitch fast and high.
When the track ends then the hissing sound stop

If I set the controls of the wave
Keeping your balance no effect now, whistling on the left and right
Adjust the volume affects track music, but no effect on the whistle until right down when he cut the sound it
MUTE button mute puts the two

Registering the program is OK if played using Windows Media Player.

Any suggestions as to what could be bad?

PC running Windows Media Center Edition

Windows all sounds have been affected, that is when I ran some of the Windows Panel I just got a burst of noise. As soon as I closed the library was back to normal

    Hello

I m not 100% sure if I understand the problem correctly, but it seems that the problems of sound appears only when you use and play audio files with Windows Media Center.
The sound is ok, when you play Windows Media Player. Am I wrong?

Hmm maybe, there is a registry or application malfunction.
Try to update the TV tuner driver and audio driver.

You can remove the sound card in the Device Manager and after reboot, install the latest version of the sound driver.

  • Windows 7 64 bit, Windows Media Center does not work

After you activate Windows Home Server media sharing, I went to my 64 bit Windows 7 machines and tried to launch Windows Media Center.  After you run through the configuration of the connector of WMC, reboot, and then clicking Windows Media Center, I get:

"Windows Media Center has stopped working".

He said that it is looking for a solution, but after a few seconds, he goes and does not return.

I never have a chance to fix anything, or even see if it connects or not.

    Any ideas?

    Hello
Reinstall the WMC and should resolve in most cases.
1 open the control panel-> programs and features.
    2. click on Turn Windows features on or off in the left pane.
3 expand the multimedia functionality, turn off Windows Media Center. Click Yes to continue, and then click OK to exit. Then restart.
    4. open features Turn Windows turn on or off again. Functionality in Windows Media Center. Restart the computer.

    5. launch Windows Media Center, initialize the program.

  • Windows Media Center does not work when on a remote desktop session

I have just Setup Remote Desktop on my local server and connected my laptop... whew that was a task in itself!

Server - Windows 7 Ultimate w/Media Center installed

Laptop - Windows 8 Pro w/Media Center installed

I am able to run the Windows Media PLAYER on the remote desktop, and it seems to work fine after that I added the libraries to it.

    BUT

When I run Windows Media CENTER I get a message that "Windows Media Center has stopped working... Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. "The message goes away and that's it.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can get the WMC to operate on remote desktop?

Not very well why this would be considered as a matter of "ITPro.

It's probably debatable that MS really intended for MC to be used via RDP, I'm not sure they believed that the feature has been used very well at all judging by what they were doing in Windows 8

However, there are two possibilities on the cause of this. An update of the RDP client can be the culprit, but it is not always a good idea to block any update.

You can also the following reg key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\Rdp-Tcp

added needs of the user group have included in its read access permissions. You can also use the run as Administrator option when you start Media Center.

  • Audio driver does not work on Equium A100 (PSAAB)

    Hello

I bought my laptop a few weeks ago, tried Vista on it for about 2 weeks but decided to change the operating system to my old XP because I did not like that Vista has taken to much power. (Like playing a game from time to time)

Anyway, the installation went well and I checked the installation instructions on the home page of Toshibas and installed everything that was needed. I also installed the audio driver.

After the restart there is no sound so I started, I was wondering what could be wrong. Called support and he told me to install 'Virtual Sound. The problem when I install was that I get an error message telling me that my computer do not support virtual sound.

So my question is: is this the problem? Not getting is not the virtual sound installed or should it works even without virtual sound? It gets boring without sound and I want it to work. Anyone got any ideas what to do?

Each suggestion or help is very appreciated!
    / Martin

    Hello

I wonder why some of the support line suggested to install the virtual sound?
The European driver Toshiba page does not include any virtual sound utility for this laptop Equium A100 PSAAB!
In my opinion it of not good. You n t need to install this utility.

I checked the Toshiba page and choose your notebook series PSAAB. I found a lot of XP drivers!
There are also 2 different audio drivers; 5.10.0.5200 Realtek and Realtek 5.10.0.5253.
    Check both!

I see that the reference page offers different upgrades of MS QFEs. You must install all!
Sometimes these update of MS are important and necessary to solve some problems.

PS; Please install all the drivers in the order mentioned in the Installation Instructions

  • Qosmio G20-111: after disk HARD changing the Media center does not work

Hi, I have a WME Quosmio G20-111, after a hard drive, toshiba support center evolution (disc hard bone) in Italy has reinstalled the WME but whenever I try to use the Media Center pc crash and show me a white screen. After several phone call they told me that the problem is that they don't update quosmio drive drivers?
    I'm desperate, any suggestions?

    [email protected]

    Hello

Well, as far as I know that the Qosmio Player has been installed on the partition hidden on the new laptop, but perhaps the ASP is not install this application after replacing HARD drive.

But I do not understand why the missing Qosmio Player should have a bad influence on the media library? MC is a Microsoft program that is part of the Windows XP MCE. Player of Qosmio is an invention of Toshiba and should have nothing to do with the MCE.

However, you can try to install the Qosmio Player and then try to recover the entire operating system with the recovery CD Toshiba original delivered.

    Maybe it helps.

  • Toshiba Audio/concentrateur USB does not work on Equium A100

I bought a Toshiba Audio/USB hub in March but only tried to install it today. Nervously, I followed the instructions. My Equium A100-related bits.

The screen says "new hardware found". The Installation Wizard appeared, I clicked on cancel according to the instructions and inserted the installation disk. This produces a message to the effect that "met a hardware problem and the unit will not operate properly. The hub is now in its box.

Is there anything reasonable I can do to remedy the situation? I have a Toshiba external connected to the laptop drive.

Any notice received with gratitude by the novice.

    Hello

You can try to download the LATEST drivers for this hub, because between March and are NOW many months and many updates have been released.

    Go here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Search for an update and if a newer version is available then take it and try again.

Otherwise, go to the store where you bought it and try with the replaced hub.

  • Netflix in Media Center does not work anymore

I am running Windows 7 Professional, and until yesterday had zero problems watch netflix via media center on my pc that I use as a HTPC.  I don't know what happened, but now I can watch Netflix in Media Center, or with a film from my browser to start.  It gives me the same error every time, a code error and said he had problems with signature and try closing and restarting the program.  However, he has no problem logging into my account and see my queue of the movies that he simply doesn't play anymore.  I tried to come back to Silverlight version 3 based on somehing I read elsewhere, but also reinstalled all the dependencies for Netflix and Internet TV in Media Center with no luck.  In addition, I did a system restore on the eve of problems, left with no luck.  Netflix said that this is a known Microsoft issue and they can't help with it?   I have confirmed that I can not connect and watch netflix on any other computer in my house is not my account network or netflix, only this HTPC.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • Virtual audio driver does not work on Equium A100

I thought that my problem is solved, but it is not (referring to my other thread)

I downloaded the audio driver as advised, but he said 'your computer doesn´t support virtual sound '.
I bought my computer in Spain and changed to XP Professional to get the English language (and I like more Pro).

I downloaded all the drivers in the download section of satellite in English - all are installed.
Finally, one is the virtual audio driver is not working.
Tried the Spanish version, too and it is said the same thing.

    All solutions?

Thank you very much in advance!

    Hello

To my knowledge, install drivers in the correct order, if you install the operating system manually.
It is a prerequisite not if you want to use the Toshiba drivers, tools and utilities.

I can t believe that it of not possible to install the audio driver.
XP Home and XP Pro uses the same drivers there is no problem of driver compatibility. I think you should follow the installation guide that you can find on the page of the driver and then install all the drivers as described in the document.

    Hello Marko

Sorry, but it's a bad way to report a problem. Description of your problem a single sentence isn't going to help a lot to understand what the problem is here. Can you offer more information please?
    TV tuner is installed correctly?
Some unknown device is listed in Device Manager?
What antenna do you use? Is - this cable TV or what?
Have you tried to scan channels on MCE?

Thanks to succinct report to us and let us know what you have tried to solve this problem.
