  If you downloaded something not supported by WMP, then you will have to google for a converter. There are many FREE online converters.

I plugged as an MTP device and in Windows Explorer, the Autoplay option is "Sync digital media files to this device using Windows Media Player". So I think this will be a safe work, I try several times, restart the computer and the phone. Recognized again in Windows Explorer, everything seems like there should be no driver issue, but Media Player still does not recognize my camera! Help!

  Update: I left a removable USB enclosure to connect for three years and a half hours. I've forgotten about it with media player running, came back and noticed, it was listed as a device in media player. So it looks like you could synchronize this right? FAKE! I dragged music to synchronize with it and the sync button is grayed. A lot of space on the device. Well, what about MP now recognizes the drive, I'll unplug the unit and then plug it back in and maybe will correct some glitch MP knows. Wrong again! New MP can't find the device! I thought that software/computers were supposed to get faster not taking 3.5 hours to connect a device and then maybe someday in the future, you can synchronize your device. But at this point don't still no luck. I just thought that Microsoft has decided to get rid of the features within the MP to synchronize removable devices because I could never get this far until reading last night it is supposed to work with key cards, usb sd and removable media. After having no luck in getting MP to reconnect to my USB stick, I erased the cache device thinking that would help, but no, he didn't.

  Another update: when I connect my phone as a MTP device, AutoPlay rises and there is an option to synchronize with Windows Media Player. When I click on this option, MP opens and then said: "searching for devices" and never find the "SGH-I897" (Samsung Captivate).   It worked for me, once put into automatic I clicked on the Start button and the rebooted enumerator. I restarted WMP and there was my flash drive in the synchronization domain.

I have to put the disc in the disc drive, and then close windows media player, with the disc in the disc drive already, then re-open windows media player. Reopened WMP with the disc in the disc drive, it recognizes the disc in the drive. It then functions well until I need to change the disk at this time I have to start the reboot stop of WMP.   DVD video... it requires a DVD decoder. And... He

  With media player, do you mean Windows Media Player?

  WMP is not supported with built-in support for sync with an iPod. However, you may install a third-party plug-ins listed in the http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/Sync.htm to add this support.

  Alternatively, you can also use iTunes, or built-in iPod support to Winamp for synchronization.

• My recently downloaded Windows Media Player 11 play dvd, audio cd and cd rom, but will not recognize two photos of the dvd which have been able to acknowledge by Media Player 10 and record of the Explorer Windows-with some difficulty

  1. Windows Media Player 10 has opened a photo successfully dvd but a message "Microsoft has encountered a problem and needs to close" came on the screen several times.  Had to re insert the dvd picture, but it would open again each time.
  2. Tried the cd drivers and troubleshooting dvd and was informed of my dvd could not be played because there was no decoder for dvd.  Following instructions and chose a windows xp approved decoder pack download - dvd has chosen the Roxio CinePlayer DVD Decoder Pack.
  3. Then upgraded the media player to Windows Media Player 11.
  4. After that, dvd and cd rom could be opened by the media player 11, but neither the DVD or cd ROM readers would recognize the photo DVD in question had been inserted into one of these discs, and even less to be opened by the media player.
  5. Program scanner and photo used to transfer my photos printed digitally on a dvd are trademarks of Hewlett-Packard.  Contact the center of the photo, but they could not provide me with any guidance or even particular HP photo program they used to create the dvd picture.  I remember the photos were stored on the dvd in JPEG format picture and was able to open by Windows Explorer before I've updated since WMP 10-11.

  Looks like you have a data dvd, which has just the pictures on it and it will not be seen by WMP, who needs a dvd-video disc.

  It should always open in windows Explorer and you should be able to see your pictues it.

  I just noticed that Windows Media Player stops is when I close. The window closes, but I can always see it used in the process, and I have to close it it so that it can turn off completely. Do not know what is causing that.

  Nevermind, I finally thought to it. The software for the keyboard activated something called "windows media player gadget for windows sideshow. This seems to be causing the lag. I went to the Windows Sideshow and disabled options program for my keyboard.

  Until a week ago, everything was great with wmp 11. Then all of a sudden I have more the length of track to one of my mp3s in my library. If I play a piece of the library, the scroll bar down does not recognize the length. When I try to move the scroll bar, it just goes back to zero and restarts the song.
