  The default setting of Firefox seems to be to monitor, collect and store as much private information as possible... and then leave it to the individual to use "clear recent history" (or third-party tools) to clear private information. I am interested in any way to reverse either this default setting, or failing that, to eliminate the ability of browsers to collect this info at all.

  In the Firefox menu bar:

• My hotmail: some spammers get some of my private information

  Problems seem to happen when I had bought drugs online (NO prescription but supplements in Europe) I'm in the United Kingdom.

  I changed my password several times; This happens to be a nuisance, because it is still quite difficult to then implement

  brand new on my Smartphone.   Just do these things once again, while I am writing.

  Some other - crooks - people seem to be ' put hand on ' my 'hand' a/c hotmail and sending all kinds of

  anti-spam is 'I want to buy viagra?   or "we have offers for you" - usually adding "click this link!  Some contain MY NAME and some also my private ADDRESS.

  These looks nothing like REAL addresses appearing in my Inbox.

  They are really more embarrassing.  I have excellent anti-virus checkers on my laptop - recently updated by my local specialist - and

  This does not happen on other hotmail a/c.  However, they do not contain my NAME, and some of them have also

  my private ADDRESS.      I mention this to someone when I was able to phone the GENUINE Microsoft hotmail don't. and

  has been advised to transmit these to * address email is removed from the privacy * I had been do this or «report to Microsoft as phishing scam»  But this

  everything takes valuable time.

  I really do not want to CANCEL my a / cs, as have been using it regularly for a long time.

  When you say private address, do you mean your home address?  Or do you mean just your e-mail address?

  Because your e-mail address and name can be simulated on any email, by anyone.  I could send from now an email that looks exactly like it comes @WhiteHouse.gov Obama and you couldn't tell the difference.  This is because the email is exactly like a postcard: totally public, everyone can see it, no privacy, and anyone can write on it with a pen to ink during his visit.

  If you thought that e-mail was assured somehow that either, you're wrong. That's why everyone will tell you never to do business or to send confidential information by e-mail.  It is also illegal to send information by email because it is so precarious.

  Bottom line: someone has found your name and your email address, and now they are fake e-mails from her. They are not even using your account to do. You don't need password for someone to send a fake email that looks like it comes from them.

  Inbox and word window is not in good working condition. Behavior is inconsistent with the ordinary window 7 workstyle and often e-mails are hidden from view making them difficult to read. Point arrow up and down to turn the pages keep horzontal so instead of remaining in the order of sequence for easy to the new page for future refrence. These are very irritating system not in reular window performance and need urgent fix

• Whenever I want to connect to video call on Skype - I get this msg "a problem of breaking this program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the pragram and inform you is a solution available." pls help

  My problem is with SKype - I can connect just fine without webcam vidoe - but every time that I conect with video call - I am disconnected without any reason
  

  I tried to install the latest version of windows and Skype - check the status of my camera - it works and I was able to capture images.
  

  I don't know what I can do

  It is also possible that some third party software installed on the computer are in conflict with the video call in Skype software.
  You can check if it works very well in a clean boot state.

  I need to edit or remove this information because the info is list my activities confidential name and location.

  I got a message while logging on that my account had been closed or access denied due to a violation of the terms and use agreement. I don't send spam e-mails of mass problem, and I don't send pornographic e-mail. I want my immediately back private information.

  What company closed your account?  I think that you will need to contact them and explain the situation.

  I have this problem and it is quite ridiculous and very frustrating. My wife was using an old account of Skype that I linked to his new xbox live ID a couple of years. No problem at all for 2 years and then last week, as the Skype account was suddenly suspended. His only use of Skype is to talk to his mother abroad each week, so I tried to fix it for her.

  I filled out the form but no matter what info I get I get just an email two days later saying my data is not good enough on behalf of output. They suggested that I have create a new account and link this one instead. The problem is that I need to connect to the suspension Skype account on skype.com to untie and forcing me to use perfectly valid MS account my wife to do. This redirects to the Skype account recovery page and this circle completely stupid of pain comes to an end. I need to recover an account that I am not allowed to recover just if he can UNTIE a valid PAY XBOX LIVE GOLD account! This is beyond stupid xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  The appropriate design would allow me to control the Skype done to dissociate from the normal ms account administration pages. This account is - once again - very well. I don't know yet why the Skype account was suspended after 2 years of valid use on xbox it anyway. We do not know what magical details, let Skype admins remove the suspension. I could not even connect to make this post using the account of my wife because it redirects to the recovery page, lol. I am connected using my normal personal gold account. Skype account ID my wife is [private information removed by Moderator] , just in case the admins read this and have mercy on us.

• Profile pictures can be deleted hosts/Microsoft/Skype servers?

  Why users cannot delete their profile picture? An image can be added or changed, but that's all. My question is... what happens to the original image, after that it has been replaced by a new image? Skype reserves the right to the image I download and save on their servers? I bet a long reading of their terms of use would provide me with an answer.

  But for now, let's say that I take a picture of myself for my profile, then I decide I don't want the image available for anyone to see. By "anyone", I mean the Skype contacts and public Skype users, as long as Skype employees, would-be hackers or authorized agents of the Government. Keep in mind this image was designated initially as visible to 'contacts' and not made 'public', so I didn't put the image into the public domain where I don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Skype should reserve its users the option to remove this image from their account and their servers.

  Or, if the addition of a new profile instead of the old photo effectively erases the old photo, then please ignore my entire argument here.

  However, my hunch is that the old photo is chosen since no where does Skype talks to remove profile photos in their FAQ on photos of profile and privacy. Since Skype does not pronounce on this subject, I must assume that they retain the original image indeed.

  My main concern here, it's not an agent pirate or the Government can get their hands on my profile picture, as I am not a criminal or wanted terrorist lunatic on the run from the Government, rather, it's more a question of morality. Too many software companies are obnoxiously lies when it comes to their software, capabilities, and what this company doing with personal and private information. Skype and Microsoft are not different.

  

  All we have is your Word. I hope it's true.

  Specifically, why not just include a feature of 'delete profile image '. This seems to make a lot more sense to me and others out there who have a problem with the absence of such a feature. Looks like it should be a simple enough feature to understand.

  1. were you able to use the microphone with Skype earlier?
  2. what Skype version do you use?
  3. are you able to use the microphone with other applications?

  Follow these steps and check if it solves the problem:

  a. open Skype.
  b. click on tools and then click Options.
  c. now click Sound Devices.
  d. uncheck "Allow Skype to change my sound settings".
  e. click Save.

• No discussion on Skype/implementation to date of problems

  I recently got a new laptop (used but restored) and she has OS X 10.11.4, but when I downloaded Skype only private chat appears. Can't access all the cats in group - I get from them and they are not in the history tab.

  EDIT: I think it may be due to the fact that I don't have the new version of Skype, because when it first opens, it asks if I want to install an update on quit, that I click. However, when I then quit and restart it stops responding for some time and comes with the same message asking to update.
