• Captivate 5.5 test does not not on OS x

  I just downloaded the trial 5.5 on a Macbook Pro and it doesn't seem to be functional:

  My config:

  -OS X 10.6.7

  i7-2.2

  -8 GB RAM

  Problem:

  -Application opens with the new project interface standard dialog, however, when a new project is selected in this dialog box, for example a new empty project, project window is invisible except for command buttons window (red, yellow, green) in the upper left of the window.  Even the element of the dock displays only the buttons command three window and no icon project window as is the norm.

  -This condition occurs during the selection of all types of standard new project: white, template, etc.

  -The menus are visible and functional.  for example, I can close the application and create new projects.  New projects created from the menu are also invisible except for the window control buttons.

  I tried:

  -Reinstall the application

  -the Flash Player update

  -updates of Adobe

  -OSX updates

  I can't say I've ever seen that happen with Captivate 5 or any other application also.  Maybe its part of a new interface that allows you to create e-Learning without getting bogged down with a project interface.  It would be cool, but someone will have to explain to me how it works :)

• Why my browser is spawning invisible windows?

  To go about four months ago, I started seeing windows without title and not selectable spawning after my browser has been open for some time (i.e. after I visited a few sites). The number of these invisible windows develops over time, but is deleted if I close the browser and start a new session. He has persisted through many new versions of Firefox.

  I have this strange invisible window on my desktop.
   
  I only found it because it was covering some of my icons and I could not click on them, after further investigation I could find (but not see) the invisible window by changing horizontal and vertical resizing cursor, I knew the window was ther, but I could not see, I could resize the window and even guess where the narrow X would be on the invisible window and close it , but it comes back.

  I noticed exactly the same thing. I have my mouse over icons near the top left corner and I noticed on certain area like 1 x 1 inch or so I couldn't click on the icons below him.

  Wow, just as I wrote this post, I found a possible solution to the invisible window on desktop.

  Called Drive Manager Desktop Gadget is to start creating invisible window named Form1 on my Windows 7 64 bit. I don't know why it does, I can kill it in the Task Manager and gadget still works. Maybe bad coding?

  In any case, after closing form1 application gadget or murder I can click again on the box office. I hope this helps others - try closing your Google desktop gadgets.

  How can I accomplish this?   First of all, thank you in advance for reading my problem and for any help that anyone can provide.

  My computer has been recently infected with Antimalware Doctor, a fake antivirus program type you want to send money to "fix" everything what he reported. I went to the record of his program and deleted directly. After that, Windows Explorer seems to crash everytime I'm wriggling on the State of Notification bar icons. It would be close all my files, I was working on that. I found a work around that puts each folder in a separate task, so it's a minor relief.

  I did a full scan with Norton 360 and returned the next day. Things seem to be fine, until an hour later, the Explorer has crashed again. I noticed that it seems to hang exactly one hour after it starts. Accidents have occurred at 19:59, 59:08 and 09:59, a bit like clock work. Even with no opening of files. I ran the Malwarebyte Anti-Malware and CC Cleaner several times. Each has found and "corrected" several errors, some of the fake antivirus. Explorer will crash an hour later still.

  Another symptom that may or may not be related, is that the Notification tray icons are invisible. I can hover over where they should be, get a ToolTip and use them normally, but they are simply not listed.

  I just restart explorer.exe after pasting this info, and the status bar icons are still visible. I'll wait to see if the program crashes again.

  When I contacted Adobe support on this issue, I was told that the 64-bit filter had not been tested on Win7, so I went to the foxit iFilter.  Even this has not worked for me.  Then I discovered it was my antivirus software which is in conflict with Win7 ability to correctly generate indexes.

  I have a stable working version of Windows 7 Pro.  (Yes sfc/scannow and chkdsk are 100%)  BUT here's my question and the problem...

  Recently, all of a sudden - my file C:\Documents and settings folder (and of course all of the many folders and files it contains) is no longer present in the computer of Windows / Explorer.

  Yes - I removed the skin system files in folder options (I'm relatively warned these basic commands) and all my other system hidden files appear perfectly.

  Moreover, I KNOW that this directory and the files are still there on the drive, and Yes, they are immediately, when I use the command line (back of the old black box window) in administrator mode.

  Once again all the folders and files in C:\documents and settings are always there (using the cd and dir/p orders) when you use the editor command line (cmd).

  I even tried to change the parameters of security using Icacls and delivered successfully as Administrators security settings: F and system: F but nothing appears in the Explorer.

  I also tried to change the command attrib to this directory with my very basic command-line skills.

  The computer still works fine - as many of you probably know the C:\documents and settings folder is really an older and former OS directory now used for programs inherited, replaced by C:\Users... etc.

  But why have - so MS put in the OS. There are of course good reasons so - I want show back again.

  I tried a system restore but I only got one and it can also have been corrupted since it took me a day or two to notice.

  In summary, when a directory and files 'all of a sudden disappear completely' use widely and all days 'window of windows Explorer normal 7' you know that something is badly broken in the operating system.

  BTW - Yes all Windows 7 updates made and successful... (no easy feat)

  They do, but I do not really recommend yet.  But I at least trust him more than any 3rd party.  It is not a download if it is an online as part of the Windows Live Safety Scanner scanner.

  I don't think that this news has a record cleaning component.  But as I said, is never necessary.  The invalid entries in the registry do slow down your startup time, or cause any problem, unless of course, you get an error message because another program tried to use an entry invalid.  But automated scanners are much too aggressive.  He thinks that an entry is not used, doesn't mean some program, somewhere, some time want.

  After update the display driver for my ATI Radeon HD 6450 to the latest beta, I immediately experienced some major glitches, such as my resolution reducing drastically to the point where I could see a small segment of my screen magnified to fill my entire screen and multi-line appearing during the largest part of the screen when I clicked color. When I click the icon, I see the animation of the blue bar that should be on the top of the wind window near the top of the screen before disappearing, as if the window opens, but it is invisible. I uninstalled all my AMD drivers and tried again, but nothing had changed. I then install the last non-beta version of the suite software catalyst, which also didn't make any difference. It would be appreciated if someone could give me a solution that doesn't involve reinstalling me my OS, but if it's inevitable, so that will have to do. The invisible windows is my main concern, but a fix for my other problems would be appreciated. Thank you.

  Sorry, it took so long to answer, I've corrected the problem shortly after my second post. It turns out that the cause of my trouble was a program called air, which allows a Tablet android or iPad to be used as a second monitor. I had it installed well before these problems started, but, strangely, when I uninstalled it because I was told that it prevented a certain racing game, my computer was completely back to normal.
