Menu CS4 CS5 resources

Just realized that I need a model of cs4 CS5 resource.  Most, if not all these sample CS5 resources are completely different from those earlier.  So what is the best way to move, so I have not completely rebuild some of my old projects.

With Windows Explorer, you can copy it to your business content to the library folder hierarchy in CS5. They will be PSD, EM (Templates), various AV (motion Menus) and PNG assets.

I've added many additional Menus from other sources and locate them just similar (but different in the present case) subfolders and all are available in my library yet, as well as my models "custom/personal" (located in My Documents).

Good luck

  • Import menu CS4 CS5?

    Hello

I did a project and recorded in CS4. In this project, I made a menu and stored as a set in the library.

Now, I opened the project in CS5, but impossible to find all of the menu that in CS4, I did.

How can I import the menu defined from CS4 to CS5?

    Thank you

    Hello

Menu saved location is different for CS4 and CS5.

You can save menu as file menu or a menu template from

Menu-> Save menu as file or save the menu as a template.

    Or

You can copy you menu set between CS4 and CS5.

This is the location where the menu set saved-

    Win-

    C:\Users\\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Encore\4.0\Library\.

    Copy this file to

    C:\Users\\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Encore\5.0\Library\.

    Mac

    /Users//Library/Preferences/Adobe/Adobe Encore/4.0/Library//.

  • CS4 CS5: Jagged edges and color change

    Hello world!

I have a problem when I try to open the Flash CS4 CS5 file. In the workspace, the edges of the shapes become jagged, and change the colors.

But when I export the image in PNG with CS5, everything seems normal. What is the cause?

On the view menu, where is your Preview Mode set?

  • is it still possible to update photoshop cs4 CS5?

is it still possible to update photoshop cs4 CS5?

Only if you can find a dealer of old stocks of unsold CS5 upgrades.  Adobe does not sell older versions of their products.

  • Can I install an AE version? CS4, cs5, cs6, CC for example...

    Hi all!

Can I install an AE version? CS4, cs5, cs6, CC for example...

You can install as many different versions of After Effects on a machine you want, as long as your computer meets the specifications.

  • Update CS4 CS5 with serial number incorrect from pc to mac

I purchased CS4 a retailer recorded some time ago, but now when I try to save the download, it says the serial number is not valid. Now, I am unable to reach the dealer. I recently moved from pc to mac and want to purchse CS5. It is better to try to save the CS4, so I can benefit from the reduced rate to upgrade to CS5? Or change from pc to mac means I have to buy new software completely and pay full price?

If I'm right, you are planning to buy CS5 where given by Mylenium article would not help because Adobe provides the platform of the latest swap.

You will need to contact Adobe... They will check the CS4 serial number is valid or not... and will save it for you.

Once registered you can immediately place the order for the CS5 on the reduced price for MAC, there will be no time to problem you have cs4 for mac or win

You should be bothered to your CS4 serial number because if you buy the CS5 upgrade, when you install the product it will ask for the serial number cs4... .Hence get serial number verified otherwise, you will need to buy the new software completely.

Depends on the number of series CS4, CS5 purchase is not the problem... you should have the correct serial number of cs4, get it checked.

  • The upgrade from versions CS4 CS5

I recently purchased the CS5 upgrade and installed.  I thought it would just update my current CS4 phtoshop but it has installed a new program.  Is this correct?  How can I transfer my information located in Bridge CS4 and Photoshop CS4 CS5?  Remove the old version once I have done this?

    Thank you!

Yes, it is correct in every way. Newer versions will never affect more older and install separately. Image metadata doesn't have to be transferred, CS5 will recognize the embedded data and sidecar XMP like CS4 has, since its stored in image files, not directories of the program. If you need to export configuration data, use the relevant options in the variaous for example to export panels brushes or styles. and Yes Men do not hesitate to uninstall CS4. Just beware that it can burst your file associations. The right way would be to uninstall CS4 and CS5, and then reinstall only CS5.

  • Wo Color Balance layer features in CS4-CS5 >?

Maybe a guru with best connections to Adobe knows the answer to that. (or maybe I just forgot).

I just found out (and I don't think that it is pilot error) the characteristic behavior of the color Balance adjustment layer is different in CS5 and CS4/CS3.  (Much stronger in CS4/CS3).

In addition, there also is an associated behavior that is like a buried legacy mode that is not visible to the user.  Here's what I mean.

If I create an image in CS4 with a single layer of color balance Wo, I get an adjusted image.

If I open the PSD file in CS5, the same image is displayed.

If I use the same base image, yet to create the layer of color balance Adj to in CS5, the adjusted image is different than the two prerequisites.   If the color adjustment layer acts like it has a hidden legacy mode where the features are an if created in CS4/CS3 yet another characteristic type if created in CS5.

My mind could be drag (or my cold got the best of me) because I do not remember this as a documented change and I searched the internet for "what's new in CS5" etc.  I don't remember anything on other forums on this subject either.

I guess the good news is, the new feature of the color Balance adjustment layer is outperformed with a curve of transfer with the least amount of cutting for the lights and the shadows.  Very similar to the better behavior of the diaper change for setting brightness/contrast from CS2 to CS3.

Here are a few comparison images.

This is the layer stack used with simple Base Image B to gradient W with CB layer on top with highlights pegged in the red.  It's the exact same stack of layers for images shown:

    http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy26/thebestcpu/NAPP%20General/Screenshot2011-05-30at114749AM.png

Here is the first picture.  It was created in PS CS4 and displays CS4 versions with the spectacle of the above conditions:

    http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy26/thebestcpu/NAPP%20General/Screenshot2011-05-30at114804AM.png

It is the same picture from above that has been saved as PSD with profile and them imported into PS CS5 with the same profile.  There is no change:

    http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy26/thebestcpu/NAPP%20General/Screenshot2011-05-30at114858AM.png

This next image is still using the same basic gradient, and then creating the CB layer from PS CS5 with the same parameters, only the Red linked highlights:

    http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy26/thebestcpu/NAPP%20General/Screenshot2011-05-30at114922AM.png

Does anyone have an easy answer for this.  Can anyone reproduce this and confirm the change of CS4 CS5.  A test by someone else could confirm either I'm off base with pilot error or there is something to this.

And Yes, all the images were sRGB and kept in sRGB for creation/display.  All screenshot images were the images grow side by side on the same managed colour monitor.   All edit > color settings are identical.

Thanks in advance for any help

    John

AFAIK, the math for this adjustment has not changed a bit.

And automated our tests found no difference in the results.

You should probably double check all settings.

  • Problems to open the InDesign CS4 CS5 files

We have just upgraded to CS5 to enjoy the track changes feature and immediately ran into problems:

    • at the opening of the CS4 CS5 files, we noticed that formulas, created using styles charater, do not display correctly.  For example x = y / z, which would have the x and = signs fell, pointed out the y and the z on the following line, something like this (although much prettier that I can reproduce here):

    x = y

    z

However, CS5, all in the formula gyphs overlap each other

    • We tried to load character of our model of document styles.  However, who did most of the content to disappear!
    • We tried to convert our CS5 model, then by loading character of our model of document styles.  However, which also caused most of the content to disappear!

    Someone got clues?

If you open the CS4 files directly in CS5, try to export files CS4 IDML and open the IDML CS5 files. It's worth a try if you have not already found that it does not help.

  • Why when Indd cs4/cs5 exporting black palette is 91%?

    Hello

My problem is that when export (whether as PDF or EPS) from InDesign cs4/cs5 black palette is allways to 91%?

When you export to CMYK, black text is 100%. When exporting in graycsale, the same text is 91%.

Maybe I could export to CMYK, but only black palette. Is it possible to do?

    Thank you.

You cannot export PDFS to grayscale - you would have to print to PDF or file and distill - and I wonder why in this century that anyone would want to export to EPS at all. That said, try to set your preferences in the appearance of black for "Output all" Blacks as Rich Black This will give you black in a print-to-levels gray-PDF workflow.

  • File open cs4 CS5, and then wrote about it, can I get it back? Bonehead error.

I opened a cs4 CS5 file. She said that it would not replace the existing file (or something like that). I've made a few changes (deletion of the previous sequence) and I forgot to save as. When I worked and clicked on save, I wrote too much the old file. I'm hoping to find the version cs4 file.

My files are not on the C: and I have no backup.

Someone good new for me on a folder that I can find the previous version in? I'm hoping against hope.

    Thank you

Back in CS4, look for the last automatic backup file in this folder. Note: the AutoSave files are FIFO, so check the date and time and do NOT rely on 001-005 designations.

Good luck and I hope that one of those is narrow.

  • CS4 CS5 document: text is yellow walk

    Hello

When you open a CS4 CS5 document, text is now walk yellow. Strangely, almost always just the titles and not all the words or even letters.

Can someone tell me what this means and what parameters are responsible for this?

    Thank you!

It is quite 'normal', as it was in CS4, CS3 and perhaps earlier. It of just a viewing preference, so don't panic and just turn it off if it bothers you.

  • CS4 CS5 plugins updated

If I upgrade to Photoshop CS4, CS5, can I just copy all my plugins in the plugin CS4 to CS5 a folder? I assume here that my plugins are compatible with versions of Photoshop.

The short answer is Yes and no.

Some plugins need to be relocated, and those who may not know CS5 without an update of their manufacturer.  SOMETIMES, you can identify all the support files and copy them as well, but it becomes difficult.

Others, those who are autonomous and do not install the dll support, need registry entries, etc., can be copied.

A basic rule is that if you copied a file in the plug-ins folder to begin with, you can copy it to the new version of Photoshop.  From what I can see CS5 is very compatible with the old plug-ins (keeping in mind that the 32-bit plug-ins work only with 32-bit Photoshop CS5 and 64 - bit plug-ins work only with 64-bit Photoshop).

Never, but never point the parameter file additional to the old installation of Photoshop Plug-ins, because it has provided Adobe plug-ins that will come into conflict.

  • CS4-CS5 > print presets?

Respect the presets print ID CS4 CS5 and if so, how can I do the transfer?

Yes. IN CS4 gop for print presets > define... dialog box select the ones you want to move, and then click Save to save in an external file. In CS5 go to the same dialog box and press the button load, then find the file that you just saved.
