  I have install this laptop brand new, pre-installed with Windows 8.1 for my sister-in-law who bought it.  The installation went well BUT the 16 GB USB device I bought such as advised by the literature of Acer to store the recovery partition was not large enough, 14.4 GB physical capacity.  Acer the book says to use a 16 GB or more, so I did.  I naively thought that a USB key which has been marked 16 GB would be appropriate.  Not the case.  I had to buy a bigger but am still waiting for delivery.

  So I decided to any HARD drive to save the work I had done, but found only the Acronis Backup and Recovery DVD would not start the image.  I went into the utility configuration and adjusted the start parameters to inherited and modified device priority.  Acronis wouldn't so I did not continue.  I went back into the configuration utility, use F9 to restore the default value and to my astonishment that the DUAL boot option was now gone and Windows startup option was also gone.

  This means that £800 this laptop is now unusable.  The installer standalone reconfigured without warning.  Nowhere is there at - it advice or advice do not use the Setup utility when it erases the features that cannot be recovered by using F9 to restore the default configuration.  If this isn't a serious design flaw, I don't know what is.

  I am deeply worried because the idea of a BIOS setup utility behave in this way seems so unlikely that I wonder if anyone will believe me.  How are the Setup utility has been designed to self-harm like this?

• The menus are disappearing

  When I click on the orange "Firefox" upper left corner of the program button, the Menu disappears. Not only this menu but all the menus. Make a right click anything the menu disappears. Click the bookmark tab and the menu disappears. I was hoping that this would have been corrected in Version 9. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled it will happen with a completely new installation of Firefox with no personal settings, bookmarks, extensions. I wish there was a way to post a video of what's happening.

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  yesterday, I received my HPenvy.

  Now seems a problem with the touchpad, I see a little, but the main issue that I am facing is with its touchpad.

  For example, when you use the touch pad to navigate menus menu popup Explorer windows disappears on its own (for example I'll be able to create a new folder after 10-15 attempts sometimes). But I never created one in my first attempt.  But if I use arrowkeys to navigate in the menu, I don't have the problem described above.

  And sometimes some keys do not respond (even to try to find a model for the issue).

  Is this a known problem or I will have to return the product if I like it verymuch (overall).

  Oops. I read your post wrong. I thought that the problem was with a Web page that you had done.

  Now that I have re-read, that makes more sense.

  Everything you need is in the window at the top menu:

  Window-> properties (it is the one at the bottom)
  Window-> files (it is the one on the right)

  I use Thunderbird (ver. 31.3.0) for multiple accounts on my main account and e-mail only, he rarely shows the attachments in the mail. • After recent FF updates, lots of CONTENT menu is gone!

  After updates (likely in August 2014) recent Firefox, several menus pop up and others appear more real content. Menu structure and buttons appear again, but the main 'business' of the menus have disappeared!

  For example, Firefox tools-> menu shows Options NOTHING but a block empty and buttons 'OK', 'Cancel' and 'help '.

  I close SDM and reopen it, most of the menus have disappeared. According to another post SQLDeveloper Data Modeler corrupted - no option to open a design , it can help to remove all the files in the file system < version number >.

  1. I didn't wan't to delete all these files. Obviously SDM Store there preferences, etc., he don't want to waste all that time each this bug hits (see 2)

  No problem to use it if it is in the same SVN version 1.6 of the customer. If you want to do it using other tools, then follow Re: cannot use directory already versioned
  Otherwise, we recommend Data Modeler to be used for the validation, update and merge operations. Particularly early stages for the design to enter the version control repository.

  The best scenario is to have 'types of system data' directory and the design itself in separate directories in the repository or in separate directories in the local file system. For local files:
  -C:\tmp\21\system_data_types - here are types.xml, defaultRDBMSSites.xml, defaultdomains.xml, dr_custom_scripts.xml
  -C:\tmp\21\FICO_Model - here you can save design - FICO_Model_V20.dmd file and directory of design FICO_Model_V20

  Hello. Can someone tell me please how to get the menu bar in the menu PSE9 Organizer. At present, it is hidden under a small rectangle that shows only when you the cursor over them. I searched and searched, but can't seem to find a solution.

  Assuming you're on Windows, you may have climbed the parameters DPI (font size), which can cause the menus actually disappear.

• Failed to export at all with v2.1.0.63

  I can't export more 2.1.0.63. I had 1.5 before. Both versions are on Windows XP.
  When I click on export data, the next context menu opens where I can choose the file type. Once I click it, the menus just disappear and nothing else happens. I can continue running queries etc. Never shows the window to ask where you wish to export.

  This suggestion has not solved the problem, but it turned out that it wasn't a problem for Firefox in itself; I had a more general problem with my touchpad, which was solved by uninstalling and reinstalling the pointer. In any case thank you for taking the time to answer!

  Thanks to all who have posted a reply to my problem. I'm not a novice computer user, but nor am I an expert. I tried all of the fixes suggested with/without success. I found another calendar... though not nearly as good calendar a calendar as the Thunderbird. I'm quite giving up Thunderbird & "make" w / the new calendar. Thanks again for trying to help me. MBT
