• I have a problem of compatibility with microsoft works 8 and windows 7 can anyone help?

  My computer came with a trial version of office 2010, it expired and I deleted it from my computer, I installed microsoft works 8, but now my printer print only half a page to a new document.  He still print other documents of my old records fine, but nothing as office 2010 has been removed, even if it printed fine work before delete office 2010.  It is not the printer it's an incompatibility problem.  I don't know if I can do some work 8 compatible with windows 7, but all said it should be compatible with it.  Help?

  Start > type Services.msc

  Press enter

  Scroll down to print spooler

  Right-click on print spooler and select stop

  Wait for Windows to stop the spooler

  Close the window

  Press the Windows flag key + R to open the run

  Type Devmgmt.msc

  Press Ok

  Click on the + sign next to the Ieee... compatible printer

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to the imaging device

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to printers

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Click on the + sign next to Bus USB controllers

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  Restart your computer.  Windows will reload the printer drivers drivers update from the manufacturer's website.

  Start > type Services.msc

  Press enter

  Scroll down to print spooler

  Right-click on print spooler and select start

  Wait for Windows to start the spooler

  Close the window

  Try printing again

  I have a Satellite L300 - 1 8 with microsoft vista home premium 32 bit.

  I only had this laptop for less than 2 months today, when I was with microsoft works suite, word processor he suddenly stopped, I rebooted a document she had auto saved and then closed.

  It is a simple generic error message that you will always see when the programs or applications crash.

  Something was wrong, but I can't tell what's wrong with your MS works.
  If you want the event viewer for errors, but to be honest, you can check this will not help you much if you're not computer.

  I gogoled a little and some people brought on the same error in MS Word, but like I said above; This is a generic error message.

  However, the people have this problem than by the new installation of MS Works.
  I don't know if you received a MS Works Mr. disc if so, remove/uninstall the MS Works the system first, reboot the laptop and use the MS Works drive for new installation.

  You have installed a newer version of Microsoft Works? Normally, you can only use the version preinstalled work and so you do not need a key. It s already active and ready to use.

  When I try to load the important Microsoft Works 9 (KB209214), I get a message that tells me to install Microsoft Works disc in the drive.  I don't have another disc of Microsoft Works.  The program came pre-installed on my system when I bought it.  How do I install the update?  NOTE: I made the repair of disks as specified by the manufacturer (Dell) for configuring computer whan of the system.

  1 is Microsoft Works and you will prompt to install the update or you are trying to install it via Windows updates?

  As the message is asking you to insert the CD of Microsoft Works 9.0, you will need to insert the right disk to install the update. As the computer came with all already installed software, the best option would be to contact the manufacturer of the system that has installed all the software on the computer.

  In the meantime, try the following steps and check the result.
  Step 1: Manually install the update

  I been using MS Works since 1989 and can tell you there's usually nothing slow about the work, so I think there must be a problem on your computer.  Have you checked against viruses and malware?  I start in Safe Mode and do it.  When you first power up press F8 once per second, and then select Safe Mode when you get the Advanced Boot Menu.

  2 UPDATES have consistently failed to install since 12/16/10: update of security for Microsoft Works 9 (KB2431831) and update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB2288931). I tried to REINSTALL... and CONTINUED on for more than a week now with no result. I don't get the error messages or codes, so I'm not sure what to do! They are considered IMPORTANT so I guess that I need these updates and I TRIED to RESTART after update with NO RESULTS as well. The 2 latest updates only "UPDATED successfully", before the long chain UPDATES failed, which began on 12/16/2010 (as previously mentioned) were: update for Internet Explorer for Windows Vista (KB2467659) and Security Update for Windows Vista (KB2305420) someone knows what do to update failed?
