Migrate from EBS R12
Hi allWe migrate our Linux 32-bit to 64-bit Os.
Our current environment:
EBS - R12.1.3
Database - 11 GR 2 32 bits
OS - release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4-32 bit
Currently we intend to migrate OS to RHEL 32 bit to 64 bit OEL4.
I found a paper: migration Oracle E-Business Suite R12 of Linux 32 bit for Linux 64-bit [471566.1 ID]
Please suggest if any other process is there to migrate R12.1.3 EBS with 11 GR 2 database.
Concerning
Shaik
Shaik,
You must install all the operating system software and pre - req. (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and upgrade 12 Release Notes (12.1.1) for Linux x 86-64 [761566.1 ID]).
For database migration, see (Oracle EBS R12 database Tier platform only on the basis of data Oracle 11.2.0 [456347.1 ID]) as the doc referenced in your note is 10 gr 2

Migration from HP-PARISC to HP Itanium platform with 11i to R12 upgr
Hello
I need to accomplish the following tasks-
The PARISC HP HP Itanium server integrity server upgrade
Upgrade database Oracle 10 g 2 to 11 GR 2
E business Suite Upgrade from 11.5.10.2 to R12 12.1.3
I think of the following approach-
I am aware that the 11i applications is not supported by HP Itanium.
I'm 1st upgrade 10.2.0.4 Database 11.2.0.x on source HP PARISC
Then install 11 GR 2 (software only) to target Itanium HP.
After that, I'm not sure about the next steps. I doubt as who is going to be an approach appropriate in the following 2 -.
Upgrade to 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1 PARISC HP source and then cloning of PARISC HP to HP Itanium (don't know if its compatible, please confirm if we can do in this situation the cloning)
or
Import/export of Perform from source to target to help Note.557738.1
Run applications update to the source HP 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1 PARISC and then migrate from platform to help notes 438086.1 .
I pray the gurus advising me please with a good approach.
Thank you
KhanI'm 1st upgrade 10.2.0.4 Database 11.2.0.x on source HP PARISC
Correct - Database interoperability Notes Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle 11 g 2 (11.2.0.1) [ID 1265268.1]
Then install 11 GR 2 (software only) to target Itanium HP.
In this step, see (using Oracle EBS with a layer of database Configuration from Split on 11 GR 2 [946413.1 ID]) - you will have to follow (database to migrate HP PA-RISC (Option C) to HP Itanium).
In doing the above, you have Oracle Database 11 g 2, installed on the machine HP Itanium (so, no need to export/import the database later).
Cloning is not a valid option here.
or
Perform export/import source to the target using Note.557738.1
No need to import/export that you have already migrated the database 11 GR 2 (as shown above).
Run applications update to the source HP 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.1 PARISC and then perform a platform migration using the notes 438086.1.
Fix.
For example, the steps are:
1) upgrade the 10.2.0.4 database to 11.2.0.x on source HP PARISC
(2) to migrate the database from HP Itanium, 11 GR 2
(3) 11i to R12 on PARISC HP update
(4) migrate layer Application R12 to HP ItaniumYou could also log an SR to confirm that the foregoing with Oracle support.

The EBS R12 upgrade and solaris to linux in a one-way migration?
Hi all, first post on this forum so bear with me.
I plan on spending 11.5.10.2 Solaris (sparc) 64-bit EBS EBS R12 on RHEL 5 x 86-64 a and would like to know if I can make in a shot that is the migration and upgrade in one step or I need to go to R12 first and then migrate first and then upgrade or migrate.
I understand the stages of migration and upgrade, but have not seen any documentation to support on the combination of them, someone does that?
Thanks in advance
JeremyHello
You can upgrade the application in the Solaris to R12 box then migrate the R12 to Linux application (since your target OS is 64-bit Linux, please note that you can not migrate the 11i application as 64-bit operating system is accredited as a layer of database for the Oracle 11i applications only).
To install R12 11i, please see:

Review migration froms seeded / custom &; reports from 11i to r12
Hi all
We need to migrate from 11i to R12 oracle application (11.5.10).
What are the step that we must take care when migrating forms and reports prepared in 6i to R12 (which uses forms and reports 10g)
(1) migration forms/reports (11i) seeded to R12.
(2) do we need to consider the extra things while moving the custom forms/reports (11i) to R12.
Thank you
JanuYou cannot migrate seeded forms/States from 11i to R12 - new versions are installed automatically when you install R12. You can only migrate custom forms from 11i to R12 according to note that mention Hussein.

Data migration of EBS to 12.2.4 EBS 11i
Hi all
EBS 12.2.4
RHEL 6.5
We migrate our EBS 11i to EBS 12.2.4. Can you help me please what is the correct procedure to migrate data?
For example in the GL/tables schema in 11i, assuming that our functional did the GL R12.2.4 module setup.
How I extracted the tables in the schema of GL 11i database and load it into the scheme of database R12.2.4 GL?
Is it possible that the data loader itself will be to install the module GL R12.2.4 based on configuration data extracted from the 11i database?
Is it possible to copy the configuration in 11i and fill on R12.2.4?
Thanks in advance for your kind cooperation.
JC
Hello
You can do this by using WebADI.
Since you are going to extract only the balances so this task will be easier in extraction and loading.
The tables of the interface of 11i and R12 are not very different.
Almost the same method used by entering data in 11i usable in R12. The data to be loaded will be on spreadsheets prepared by users and validated by the business consultants.
The application developer should not take the data by itself and insert it into the new system.
You can do a quick search and find lots of resources on the topic.

EBS R12.1 login page cannot display - after installation
Hello
I installed Oracle EBS R12.1 with multi node installation
Host system: Windows 7
VMPlaer:
System1 comments: Database 64 bit OS Oracle Linux 6.7 Vision node
System2 comments: OS Oracle Linux 64 bit Apps Tier 6.7
EBS Application installed successfully, and I can see both are rising and running, I can see the login page (no forms) in DB and Apps nodes. And I can connect to the database of customer of db host system, but not able to open the login page to the host system. I checked the version of java and every thing looks fine at the host system, I can open it with other EBS on all issues.
Based on Metalink notes:
Solution1: Auto config ran level apps and does not - and file DBC looks good - no problem on the automatic configuration
Option2: Recompiled from $FND_TOP/patch/115/bin - no JSP compiler error
My conclusions from host system:
Apps URL: http://192.168.64.130:8000/OA_HTML/AppsLogin
When I am trying to open in Internet Explorer:
This page cannot be displayed
•Assurez - you have the web address http://192.168.64.130:8000 is correct.
• Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh page in a few minutes.
When I am trying to open in Mozila:
URL changed - which means that he is in communication with the server, something stops
Mozila:
The connection has expired
The server to ebsapps.oracle takes too long to respond.
The site may be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
After delay, issue, I checked in the applications node
I could see the suite of changes, I don't know I made these changes before installing. Seems to be after the restart apps replaced node network manager the /etc/resolv.conf file.
/ etc/etc/resolv.conf: this cannot be a problem, I think, because I can open the page of connection on the DB node
options attempts: 5
options timeout:15
I'm not sure what could be the problem. Please guide me to solve this problem. Any help will be be appreciated.
Thank you

Bandwidth (Mbps) for EBS R12.2
Hi all
We have a client in need of 100 concurrent users of EBS R12.2.
It will buy internet bandwidth for these 100 concurrent users.
How many total bandwidth they purchase? Is there enough 50 Mbps?
Is there a recommended for this calculation?
Thank you very much
JC
Hello
The design of networks can be determined on a fly. We understand from different locations, how the application will be accessible. As much as I know there no specific reference available to calculate the bandwidth of NW. The only option that we can do is to perform a load test on the network before GO Live.
In my experience if all 100 concurrent users accessing applications on the same site, then 50 Mbps should be fair enough.
You can run the test from NW to the status of your network. See the TechNote MOS:
How to access the network Test form? (Doc ID 1953230.1)
It may be useful

Compilation error after migration from 9i to 10g Jdev workspace
Hello
Nice day.
We have a few custom pages OFA under EBS 11i developed using Jdeveloper 9i, now we migrate these EBS 12.2.4 page.
After you open the old workspaces, the tool asked me to convert these packages to 10g, so I selected Yes.
Now, when I try to compile the workspaces, I get the below error:
Error(26,8): class oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement is not public; cannot be accessed from outside of package package driver
The original line of Java is:
import oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement;
Help, please
Thank you
JTK1977,
Your code should use the package
oracle.jdbc
instead of the packageoracle.jdbc.driver
used in earlier versions of Oracle. Using the packageoracle.jdbc.driver
is now deprecated, but will continue to be supported for backward compatibility. All that is needed to convert your code is to replace "
oracle.jdbc.driver
"by"oracle.jdbc
" in the source and recompile. This can be done Isoquant. You must convert all classes and interfaces that are referenced by an application. Conversion is not required, but is highly recommended. Future releases of Oracle may have features that are not compatible with the use of the packageoracle.jdbc.driver
.See the link below:
Oracle.JDBC (Oracle database JDBC Java API Reference)
Change your declaration of import as below:
import oracle.jdbc.OraclePreparedStatement;
See you soon
