migration of standalone security ADF

I have JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0.

I have deployed my application for security is enabled adf to a stand-alone weblogic server. But what's missing is the definition of security policy. I had to manually migrate the security on the old version of weblogic, but I have found NO information on how to do it on weblogic version 10.3.2.
All the world did this with success?

Best regards
Sturla Thor

First of all, you should check to see if system-jazn-"Data.xml" is updated with your enforcement strategies, if it is not then try manual copy/paste.
If it comes to this, tag of any copy of the jazn-"Data.xml" to application in system-jazn-"Data.xml". Just make sure you set the correct application name (it's probably different when you deploy on the stand-alone server, you can check the name of WLS console).

  • Migration in WebLogic security provider

    Hello

    I want to migrate the dev security provider to test and I experience the following behaviors: new users and their groups are inserted correctly, but existing users and their group memberships are not being updated or crushed. Is this expected behavior? Do I need to set some parameters when I import or export security provider in the Console of Administration WebLogic?

    Stijn of morning,

    WLS integrated LDAP migration mechanisms are not really made for a properly structured deployment process. I assume that this is due in part to the fact that Oracle is not really a lawyer allows you to use the Protocol LDAP WLS is the main tool of management of authentication and permissions in a productive environment, but rather by an appropriate OID, MSAD or another LDAP. All that you are migrating 'normally' are the configurations of LDAP and group/AppRole rather than physically importing assignments users.

    Certainly, that 'normally' comes with large enough citations because you may need to use LDAP WLS because there is nothing else. But I would say your solution is one of the valid solutions to deal with this problem, and as you can script these steps, it should not be too difficult to use.

    See you soon!

  • creating users and roles of WL server for an application that is secured by security ADF

    Greetings

    I have an application that uses the security of adf, pre-deployment I created the users and roles to grant access or permissions to certain pages in mid CA. the thing is that I need to know if its possible to create users and roles through my the weblogic Server console and that roles and users can have permissions in my app I try but the only thing that works is authentication... I can not pass authorization

    Thanks for your help

    It should work very easily.

    What you have to do is give the domain name as domain (default myrealm) weblogic, this step you already have you're abe to authenticate.

    Now in jazn-"Data.xml", there are 2 types of roles. Application role & business role. Select business roles when assigning permissions. These should also be the same roles myrealm.

    You can also use the application role and have a relationship between the application role & business role.

    Only the care you need to take are to deploy the application in the EAR file, deployed a flag there migrate suite security users and security groups object. Deselect it.
    When you use the user groups and migrate the Application roles.

  • Customization of the user for users of the data base and without security ADF

    JDeveloper version - 11.1.1.7.0

    I want to implement personalization by the user on the database of users and without ADF security. I followed the link in storing the repository in a file system but its same showing below the user interface for all users.

    http://Sameh-Nassar.blogspot.IE/2012/03/apply-MDS-to-Oracle-ADF-application.html

    Please guide me on how to do this for users of the database. Please share any other useful links, as appropriate.

    Customization of the user (SDM) does not care the security of applications. You can also apply to the MDS in your ADF application if you use the ADF security or custom security. The main idea is the class of customization (like MyUserCC) has the method call getValue this method should return the user name. When the user login stores the user id in the session and the method getValue returns the user session ID as:

      public String[] getValue(RestrictedSession restrictedSession, MetadataObject metadataObject)
      {
        try
        {
          String user = (String)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap().get("userId"); // userId is the session variable that store the login user id
          if(user == null)
          {
            return new String[]{""};
          }

          return new String[]{user};
        }
        catch (Exception e)
        {

  • What is the best way to migrate from forms to ADF?

    We are in a big mess. Our company has been developing Oracle Forms for more than 15 years. We have applications developed in Forms 6i and 10 g. We have about 5 products and these 5 products have different versions of 25 to 30. that is, we maintain about 30 different versions of our applications. Each version of the application has about 100 forms and 100 States.

    Now, given that the forms came at the end of life of 11 g we want to pass to the ADF. We tried forms of ADF migration tools but failed. So now, we decided to manually to rewrite applications in the ADF.

    Our forms / PL/SQL developers, designers and analysts (about 40 in total) are all people of Oracle Forms. They have no experience in Java.

    What I want to know is:
    (1) what is the BEST way to do this?
    (2) need to learn Java, JSF, and ADF? (i.e. every 3)?
    (3) it is mandatory to learn JSF?
    (4) assuming that may benefit from a full training, how much time will it take for people of forms learn the ADF?
    (5) what kind of training will be necessary? (Java, JSF, ADF and JDeveloper etc..)
    (6) how LONG will take? that is to train all 40, then to rewrite an application forms 100 + 100 + reports? (Ballpark is OK).
    (7) any other technology we should learn?

    Published by: user12240205 on July 18, 2012 05:48

    Obvoiusly liked you training the better, but I think the minimum would

    (1) Java skills - I think to start, 1 or two days read some thing like head first Java http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Java-Kathy-Sierra/dp/0596009208
    (2) I would then get the http://www.amazon.com/Quick-Start-Oracle-Fusion-Development/dp/0071744282/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1343201618&sr=1-1&keywords=jdeveloper+quick of "The Quick Start Guide to Fusion Development" (declaration: I am the author so have an interest, but I still think it's a good point of departure - this should be about 2-3 days to read and also to try things.)
    (3) in parallel I would observe these http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/adfinsider-093342.html#a1 ADF Insider Basics - a few hours
    (4) I'd so try this tutorial http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/jdev/obe11jdev/ps1/ria_application/developriaapplication_long.htm - 3 hours.
    (5) if necessary, if you come from a background of forms I would also read http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/SummitADF/SummitADF_Redevelopment.pdf and watch http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/Forms_Redevelopment_ADF/Forms_Redevelopment_ADF.html - which is about 2 hours of work.

    I think it would be the absolute MINIMUM at least be able to build basic applications and begin to feel your way all also described in the http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11gdemos/ADFTour/ADFTour.html 'ADF COLLATERAL TOUR' could be shot as you start to build a proof of concept. However, I would say don't you try to build a real application with a single exposure of weeks (in the same way, I don't expect you to design a database of product with the formation of a week only). I would probably expect your developers to have at least the above training, then spend a month or so evidence of (minimum) building of the concepts (or test themselves with the ADF Insider Essentials tasks). In addition, I would probably expect to have at least a senior developer/architect, with much more experience that may be decisions on things like reuse, partitioning, architecture, etc..

    Of course, it's all subjective, but I hope it helps.

    Hi Vinod,

    If you set up SQLAuthenticator in the JDeveloper's integrated Weblogic Server, so what happened to your case is expected, because you deleted the Weblogic instance where SQLAuthenticator has been configured. Yes, you have deleted the domaine_par_defaut instance that is located in the directory specified above. JDeveloper will recreate a new instance (not configured) the next time you run.

    To avoid reconfiguring SQLAuthenticator, you must set it up on a stand-alone instance of Weblogic (which is not located on the JDeveloper/systems user... folder.

  • Frank: How to have a few pages only no need connection security ADF is on

    Hi Frank and all the others.

    I have a similar situation to the highest position: [SOLVED] how to have some pages don't no need connection while ADF security is turned on but I can't find a solution in the last post.

    Situation: I use JDev 10.1.3.1 and the same version of the OAS. I have a registration page of the user who is supposed to open to the public and don't have to connect. The ADF security is implemented and working, with jbo.security.enforce = Must. If I set jbo.security.enforce = None, it works correctly. So the problem is in the ADF BC authentication.

    test: I tried the 'anonymous' user and 'any person' role to add in the my current application. None of them work (maybe my setup is not correct). I hope that if someone can provide details on configuring anonyous.

    Frank: you mentioned in the last post, that you would with the solution of blog and fill out a bug report, if necessary. Could remind you your solution or any workaround? My environment is Jdev 10.1.3.1 with the same version of the OAS. The ideal goal is to keep the current ADF security and have several page with access to business, but didn't need to connect.

    Thank you very much

    Jay

    Hello

    I can only say ADF 11g security, and here anonymous are the way that you go to pages publc cash security of the ADF. Set jbo.security.enforce = Must (this parameter is deprecated in 11 g) you apply authentication to the level of the ADF BC. This means that the model he wants to use to be authenticated before he questions anything the database. This should be independent of the security of the ADF because ADF Security operates at the level of the binding. So unless you use the authorization of the entity, it is not necessary to have jbo.security.enforce = Must the value must (unless you have a Swing application that should popup a login screen)

    As I said, there is no deployment errors when deploying on the management server. However, we still see the following errors when deploying to the managed server:

    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.security.jps.wls.listeners.JpsApplicationLifecycleListener
    etc.

    This error occurs when the deployment using the < wldeploy > Ant task included with weblogic and the deployment of the application manually using the administration console.

    So I removed this WebLogic - application.xml:

    <>earpiece
    oracle.security.jps.wls.listeners.JpsApplicationLifecycleListener <-listener class > < / listener class >
    < / earphone >

    Who decided the initial error (I guess that there is some sort of bug that causes of workaround is necessary). The following error is the following:

    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.share.security.authentication.AuthenticationServlet

    Yet once, we do not get this error when deploying to the AdminServer - ONLY the managed server CollabServer.

    Web.XML:

    ...
    < servlet >
    < name servlet - > adfAuthentication < / servlet-name >

    I then added some jars of adf the ear file, finally get this error message:

    Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Thank you.

    Dan,
    Thanks for remind me :-)

    Here are the steps we had to take to get a WLS managed to run an adf application without copying any jar in the field/lib directory:

    1. you should always install the adf runtime to any server you want the adf application to deploy on

    2. open the administration console, select the managed server and select the "start server" tab in the settings of trial.

    3. Add

    /u01/bea/patch_wls1030/profiles/default/sys_manifest_classpath/weblogic_patch.jar:/u01/bea/patch_jdev1111/profiles/default/sys_manifest_classpath/weblogic_patch.jar:

  • Migration from standalone to cluster

    Hello.
    Our implementation of the IOM (autonomous service) is currently of material resources, that's why we will acquire new equipment (servers of couple)

    Does anyone have a good URL that describe how to migrate from one server to two IOM or more without having to install all the connectors from scratch?

    WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.0.0

    IOM version:
    Version: 9.1.0.1866.50
    Internal version 1866.50

    Thank you.

    Create a new domain for IOM in a Cluster by following the steps of the installation. When you install IOM, that it points to the existing database. He will tell you to copy the .xldatabasekey to your instance. You will need to patch your installation to make the same version as your existing. In addition, copy all the additional jar files and other files that you have added to your XL_HOME directory for connectors. You should be able to run the config_cluster script in the XL_HOME/setup directory to the queue jms configuration for the server on which you are. I have never done this, but it should work. Make sure that you have allowed to get out all the JMS and Recon messages before doing this.

    Hello

    Normally, if you have a single database in a version and you want to be converted to be CARS in another version, you can do the following:
    1. backup the database.
    2. install the binary files for the new version in the single database
    -install 11 GR 2 as stand-alone (ASM already there, you just create binary RDBMS House)
    3 level stand-alond database from the old version to the new version.
    -update of 10.2 to 11.2
    check the 251.1 Note for more details on the upgrade and the checklist
    4. after the upgrade, go from the single-phase cars using following link:
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E11882_01/install.112/e10813/cvrt2rac.htm (for Linux)
    -of course check your platform link

    Then you'll your updated database upgraded to CARS in the new version.

    Hope this give you some good advice. Good luck.

    Hello
    My English is not very good
    I use jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0

    I created security ADF in jazn-"Data.xml" with some users and roles.
    In application, each user can change his or her password.
    If a user changes his or her password and then I want to deploy the application again, then default password set in jazn-"Data.xml" re-created and again removed password.
    How can I save the new password that never deletes?

    Properties of the application contains an option that controls whether to deploy the users/groups defined locally to the WLS in the deployment from inside JDeveloper target domain. This option is enabled by default. Clear this check box to prevent migration auto/user role:

    -> Application properties-> deployment-deployment of Security Options > uncheck "users and roles.

    All communications of the db is made via the connection db defined in your application. Here, you set the user who speaks of the db. If this user has the power to hire you should be able to commit. You can use security adf to grant the insert, update, and delete on EO in your application to roles that belongs to the user of your application. I you have not done so each user of the application should be able to commit.
