Missing Windows Calendar

I use Windows Calendar for years, meanwhile, I created separate calendars for various individuals and businesses.   My personal calendar disappeared, this is the second time in a year, but all the other calendars are always accessible, how can I restore mine?

Hi kholt04,

·         How did you restore the last time?

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode and check the number. Please report the results.

Step 2: If the issue took place recently, you can try to perform a system restore and see if it helps.

What is system restore?

    Hello.

I have Windows Vista 32 bit. I can't get the the calendar reminder of Windows to work when the program runs, eventough "reminders should show when Windows Caldendar is not running" in the dialog 'Options' is checked. I missed some jobs because of it. My reminders appear only when I open the program. I've checked and unchecked option in the dialog 'Options' to see if reminders work when Windows Calendar is to be running, but they did not.
Can someone tell me how to leave reminders to work, even if the program is closed? And I insist, the obvius in the 'Options' dialog box option did not work. Thank you. Good bye.

    Hello cevallos,.

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forum.   Unforuntely the only way that the program can remind you of upcoming events is so its opening.  I suggest that you minimize the program instead of close.

Hi Seif, which version of Windows Vista are you running?

If you are running Windows Vista Ultimate, you can use the previous function to retrieve the file.

    Please, perform the following steps:
-Click on the start ORB, then click on computer
-Right click on computer and left click on properties
    -Click the previous Versions tab
-Double-click on a folder with the date of when you knew that calendar events were present to open the folder of the time, and go to:
    C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Calendar\Calendars
Drag the file to the calendar on your desktop and open it to retrieve calendar items you are looking for.

Alternatively, you can restore the file from a backup and open it in order to recover your missing events.

NOTE: If you are not able to see some of the folders listed above, you will need to activate the system and hidden files in Folder Options in the control panel

  • Missing Windows Media Player plug-in

When I am trying to play web videos on my nsx40gt1 get the error message "Missing Windows Media Player plugin" on many sites... Is it possible on the browser chrome on my sony internet tv to run this plugin?

Welcome to the Sony sponsored the Forums of Discussion user:
    Thank you for posting!

Web videos Windows Media Player require additional plugin software that adds specific functionality to enable items to use. Additional plug-in software requires more memory. However, the internal memory of the device of Internet TV is designed only to be used to store data of the pre-installed applications. For this reason, Windows Media Player can not play.

Currently, it is not possible to install plug-ins in the system.

  • Appointment Windows calendar - Windows 7

I have not dated to Windows 7 yesterday.  I discovered today that the Windows calendar is not included.  How can I access the appointments that have been included in the Windows Calendar?  I'd be so angry if they have been deleted because it includes everything I need to run my life - business appointments, hospital appointments, birthdays, reminders, etc..  Anyone have any ideas?  Thank you

You can make your calendar on Windows Live Calendar needs.  I don't know if you can import your calendar in Windows Live Calendar or not.  Simply create an account and a password.  The calendar is free.  I found the same thing when I installed Windows 7 today.

  • Windows didn't start because the following file is missing/windows/system32/config/system Windows XP

Original title: repair/restore of windows?, a little confused?

My brother has problems with his computer. It happens that windows didn't start because the following file is missing/windows/system32/config/system. I need to know how to do this, but for some time.

On the sites, some say not to use get it back? (is that right?) Here's what they say. He has not brought his xp disk, I tried an iso online but lacks the EULA. I have a windows xp update here somewhere, thatt allow me to fix his system?
I basically have to hit enter then press R? Thank you
    1. Press Enter to start the configuration of Windows.

do not choose "to repair an installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console, press on R", (do not want to load the Recovery Console). I repeat, do not choose "to repair an installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console, press on R.

    2. Accept the license agreement and Windows will search for existing installations of Windows.
    3. Select the XP installation you want to repair in the list, press Rto start the repair. If the repair is not one of the options, END of installation

I use Vista Home Premium and try to understand us holiday on the calendar Windows provided with windows mail, contacts, etc.  Is there a simple download to include holidays on this calendar?  Everything I find is downloads for a full schedule.

    Hello HappyHoot,

Probably the easiest way to add the holidays / events to your calendar Windows is to subscribe to them.  By launching Windows Calendar, you will see the "Subscribe" button upward.  If you click that, you will need to include the address of the subscription calendar in the box.  Under this area, you should see a link to visit the Windows Calendar website.  If you click this link, your browser will take you to a page that explains the many features of Windows Calendar and presents also some links more click on browse existing subscriptions that you can add.  See if you can find a schedule tailored to your needs.  Many are available for the holidays, specifically.  I hope this helps!

No problem.  I re - install Windows Live Essentials again also, but I still have the problem.  I think that the root of the problem iscorrupt Windows system file s.  I think I need to re - install the operating system and build up again from scratch.  There must be an easier way, but I don't know what it could be.

  • Import Windows Live calendar to Windows Calendar

I've been using Windows Live Calendar, and I have a lot of data stored there. However, I would like to sync it with Windows Calendar offline so that I can use my calendar when offline. Of course, I want to save the time it takes to create the same calendar manually. How can I import a calendar calendar W WL? THX

    Hi cheetah_akela,

I'm sorry to know that you still have the problem.

When you find an option to save the file (calendar.ics), save it to your desktop and try to import.

The file must have the extension .ics. Other extensions are not supported by Windows and Windows Live Calendar calendar.

The fastest way to import a calendar is simply double-click the calendar file to import. When you double-click a calendar file, the import window opens.

    1. click on the button import and the calendar that you just imported appears in the calendars section.

    2. the import window opens and you must navigate to the location of the file to be imported, calendar (for example: C:\user\username\Desktop\calendar.ics)

3 select it. Click Open, and then click the import button.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • WINDOWS CALENDAR DOES NOT WHEN THE COMPUTER TURNS

    Hi guys:

I'm having a problem with Windows Calendar. In the past, when I had an appointment for a date, the calendar would turn on automatically to remind me, as soon as I turned on my computer. Recently, this has changed. Now, I can always make an appointment, but if I'm not manually in calendar, it will not attract me, the way that it used to. Obviously the parameters have changed. I don't have any idea on how to solve this problem. Can you guys please help?

    Sincerely,

    Rachael

    Hi Rachel,

To do this, you'll want to schedule in your startup folder so that it works even when the computer starts.  Here's how.

    1. Press + R to view the race box.  Type : startup of the shell and click OK to open the startup folder.
    2. Open your menu start, find calendar and drag it into the startup folder.

You are finished.  Now, it runs automatically when you connect.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Show-hidden-files

You will need to check their backup for files in this location, and then restore them and replace all files currently in the folder.

I hope this helps. Please do ley know us if you need more help.
