  • How to check the proxy for android settings

Hello... When I try to go on youtube in mozilla android, it will not at all and it gives me a message to check my proxy settings... I tried as I can... could not find or know what proxy change... see no network as my "Windows computers" option... I put for 'no proxy'... too bad... I added a lot of features to firefox and cannot go on youtube and a few other too.*john sites

    Hey John,
I'm sorry to hear that on mobile Firefox for Android requires to verify the proxy server. This happens on several networks?

If there is a proxy must be included in all: networking. That plug your url and see if there is a proxy listed.

There is also a nice add on Mobile Proxy that might be able to list them.

  • HP C4780 printer with android nexus 7

I have connected my HPC4780 printer to my 7 Nexus by WIFI and bluetooth, and it was working fine until recently.  now I can't print from my nexus, but don't know why.   It says HP plugin unavailable.   There has been some automatic updates HP lately and I wonder if that's the problem.  When I search for devices, now there is no HP printer.

Hi Bogcotton, welcome to the Forums of HP. In order to clarify the printer does not have an option of Bluetooth connectivity, so it will take WiFi.
Try power cycling it, start by unplugging the router, turn off the printer and tablet. Once the 30 seconds are obsolete, plug your router into. When the router comes back online, turn on the printer. When the printer has found its network connection, re - turn on your tablet. Try printing again.

What printing solution do you use with the Nexus? You use the built in HP Printing for Android 4.4?
Here are some additional documents on the impression of the tablets.
4.4 Android (KitKat) and later versions: printing with the print Android Solution
Printing from your Android with non-Web-Enabled printers (No HP ePrint Support)

Let me know how it goes.

  • Ideas and Suggestions for a Mobile printing in my environment

So I wanted to get some get some ideas from individuals on mobile printing solutions for my environment.  I have an internal network which uses a central print server to host several HP print queues.  I would like to be able to provide somehow a solution e-print mainly for mobile devices.  Yet once, just collect ideas here, but can someone provide suggestions on where I should Explorer for a possible solution?

    Thank you

Home & Biz should work for iOS and Android, but not the ones windows devices.  You must find a 3 rd-party application that allows printing to those.  The 9050 is not on the list of compatible printers for home & Biz (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01619067), but it can work.

There is always Google Cloud Print, which could be a good solution all around for all your devices.  You can use virtually any printer.  You need to install all of the printers on a PC, install Google Chrome top to run 'share' since then, and it would be on for users to print.  It would, indeed, share printers to mobile devices.  Here's a link: http://www.google.com/cloudprint/learn/ , you must use the conventional printer option to implement the 9050 s.  On this page, there is also a link at the top for applications that can be used to print via Google Cloud Print.

  • Why do I need to have an account to use Ffx for Android mobile? I've never used an account for any browser Firefox.

Why do I need to have an account to use Ffx for Android mobile? I've never used an account for any browser Firefox.

Seems I can't even ask the question without having to open an account!
    Catch 22 defined.

You do not need an account of Firefox to use Firefox, simply there if you want to use the synchronization service to synchronize bookmarks and other data between your desktop Firefox installation and your mobile installation. (I don't personally use Sync, not since the installation of office has a lot of old baggage that bogged down my mobile.)

  • Firefox for android mobile phone said app can access the following on your phone... take pictures and videos? Is there a work around? If not have to uninstall.

I have Firefox for my laptop and wanted to use it on my phone Android mobile phone. When I saw under permissions that the application can access photos and videos and can take photos and videos that seemed very odd. Does anyone know of a work around to keep the app to take photos and videos without my permission? I do not want to uninstall but can allow the intrusion of privacy.

We have a help article about why this permission is here: how Firefox for Android uses the requested permissions?

Specifically, some sites may give you the option to attach or embed an image directly from the camera instead of going through a folder of pictures already taken. In order to support this feature, Firefox requires permissions to access the camera. However, according to this article, Firefox will ask your permission before leaving the site to use the camera. I don't think I have ever seen this in action.

  • Firefox for Android only displays the desktop version of gmail rather than mobile.

    Android only question.

I prefer to access gmail via a browser rather than the gmail app. Tests of other browsers on Android (Chrome and Dolphin) I see that they display a mobile-specific version of the gmail Web site.

Firefox for Android only displays the version of office on my Nexus 7 (5.1 runs Android 2012) - and therefore more difficult to read and use. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Well, Yes, it's that Word annoying Tablet.

What I'm going to describe is difficult to type, so I hope that you can open this page on your tablet.

Select (0) and copy the following text on your Tablet if possible to avoid the excesses of type:

    general.useragent.override.mail.google.com Android; Tablet;#Android; Mobile;

The forum linkifies this first part, but it is not supposed to be a link.

    (1) open a new tab to Subject: config (type about: config the Awesomebar and hit the arrow go or tap Enter).

You can bookmark it for easy future access.

    (2) in the search box, type agen and make a pause while Firefox filter list

    (3) scroll down to the bottom and look for a preference named general.useragent.site_specific_overrides and confirm that it has its default value true. If it is set to false, press the reset button for it back to true.

    (4) scroll back up and press the big button "+" to the left of the search box to add a new parameter

    (A) the name of the preference must be general.useragent.override.google. com (for all Google sites) general.useragent.override.mail.google. com (for Gmail only)

If you type this, beware of the correction automatic insertion of spaces and be sure to remove those.

If paste, remove the part after that.

    (B) on the right side, type Boolean and in the popup, change it to a String

    (C) the value of the preference should be Android; Tablet; #Android; Mobile; -in other words, substituting Mobile for Tablet.

If you type, pay attention to the excess spaces.

If gluing, remove the preference name and extra space before this part.

    (D) then click on create

If you open https://mail.google.com/ must now use the mobile layout.

    Success?

Edit: To clarify the name of preference options.

  • How can I stop my firefox for android by default to mobile versions of Web sites?

Initially, I downloaded firefox for android because it didn't default to mobile vesion of websites whence my original browser. I don't have mobile Web sites that I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the screen is easily sufficiently broad to support the full version Web sites.

  • I can't download Firefox for Android for my Samsung Galaxy S (T-Mobile: Vibrant)

When I go to the Firefox download site and get to the last step, when I click on the orange bar to download the beta version for Android, I get an error screen that says "Not found. The requested item could not be found. "This happens repeatedly. That is what it is?

Some phones supported do not appear Firefox on the market for some reason any. We're still investigating it. You can check if your phone is supported here:

    https://wiki.Mozilla.org/mobile/platforms/Android

and then download the application directly from here:

    http://FTP.Mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/Mobile/Releases/4.0b3/Android-R7/multi/

(Note: If your phone is AT & T, you will have to search for 'sideloading' instructions in the APK file, because AT & T disables the option to install non-market sources.)

  • How can I print on my mobile printer officejet 100 since an android via bluetooth device?

Here, I'm puzzled. I installed the printer on my Windows PC. I can't perform a (Bluetooth) pairing of my Android Tablet (Galaxy 10.1 "). I tried to use a variety of print from Android Marketplace programs, but I can't get anything to print.

When I try with PrinterShare, it asks me to select the printer. When I select the OfficeJet 100, thought that the application cannot find a driver for the printer.

Note to HP: you definitely need to improve the documentation on this printer. The docs supplied with my printer make no mention of Android, and it is almost impossible to find something useful online. Very disappointing.

Update: we found a solution that works very well for us at the moment. ICanPrint (Android app) has a small box that can be used to connect an Android tablet to this printer.

We ordered and tested one of these boxes with a 10 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab, and it works very well. The area is small, almost cubic and about 1.5 inch on each side. It requires a power source when printing.

ICanPrint customer support team is extremely sensitive. They worked with us to create a custom driver that meets some of our specific requirements.

Search for ICanPrint on Google play for more information. It is the first solution that we found that actually works, after many hours of agony (days, weeks) of the research.
