  TED talks, videos, AOL and others will start with a flash of the video, then off. The audio continues. I deleted the plugins flash and quicktime - no luck. I restarted Firefox in safe mode and it works fine. I then rebooted and disabled all the plugins - no luck. Internet Explorer works fine.

  One of the characteristics of Safe Mode is that it disables use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics. This method works around incompatibilities with some graphics driver software.

• Lost some color of HTML mode code (code and half of split view)

  On an html document, I'm working on the code (and split code) suddenly lost color that applies to the html code.

  Comments that would normally be in gray became blue and also attributes in an img tag that would be normally purple became blue. link href values are still green.

  If I start a new html file, it uses the correct colouring.

  If I go into the Code Live mode, my code becomes the right color but swiitching back to normal mode code and the HTML commented loses its gray color...

  Minor but frustrating problem. Any ideas how to recover the model default color on my existing html file? I tried to delete the cache file.

  Arrgh and then I see CS5.5 I press a help button and she quickly erases everything I typed above. Brilliant.

• Dreamweaver CS 5.5 Crash on mode Code

  Hi, I have installed CS 5.5 Master Collection Trial on a freshly installed Windows 7 x 64. When you open a file in Dreamviewer it opens in design mode, which is ok and everything works fine but switching mode Code the Dreamweaver is unresponsive and Windows is trying to find a solution to the problem and the only thing I can do is to close the application. I tried to add the html extension so that when opening the file, the file will be opened in Code view immediately, but the help of this n.

  I tried to remove the Configuration in Windows for Dreamweaver directory, but that does not help either...

  Does anyone have a suggestion?

  Hi, well it took me a while, but I have maanged to find the solution... and, of course, the problem of this crash. After I installed a few new fonts (that I forgot to mention) switching code view crashes Dreamweaver. So, the solution is:

  (1) power up Dreamweaver and before opening any file/s go to Edition-> Preferences (or CTRL + U).

  2) go to "fonts."

  (3) change the font that is in "Code view" to "Courier new".

  (4) it's she!

  * You can also (and it is advisable) to change "fixed fonts" for "Courier new"!

  (5) restart Dreamweaver (not required) and you should be able to switch from Design view to the Code mode without any problem!

  I never use Design view, and it is very annoying that Dreamweaver CS4 can't seem to understand and remember that. I can be editing a file in code view, and when I opened the file again the next day that it opens in Design view. Is there a setting for this somewhere or is this a bug? Any suggestions for a solution?

  Error in Dreamweaver: 'there is an error in syntax (xxx) online. Indicators of code may not work until correct you this error.
  I tried the WinFileCache removal solution, but it was not I guess.

  I think it's because the "return" statement is not in a real function, delimited by braces (wish I had braces when I had my teeth fixed! )

  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  The return keyword can be used only inside a function. That's why he reports a syntax error.

  If you believe that your syntax is correct and it works the way you expect in your target browsers, you can ignore the warning. But Dreamweaver is sticking to its guns and say "put it in a function or I won't do more than any code hinting or syntax checking.

  This is probably a stupid question. How can I activate scrolling mode code CS3 (DW) landscape. I like to see my (very long) code to a line rather than letting the DW to automatically wrap to the next line. Previous versions of DW which does by default but CS3 that changed default skin. I couldn't find a way to coustomize the code view. It is very annoying!

  So I like the code view, allows me to really keep everything clean. But the txt is too small. I know I can zoom in with my os, but is there a way to do this than in mode code Dreamweaver? Thought to change the font size and code, but don't know if that will be the effect on the rendering of page

  I use Dreamweaver for many years now, and our sites extensively use SSIs. Normally in code view, the just IMS appears as an HTML element include. But since the Dreamweaver 8, some of the SSIs are appearing as the content of the SSI mode code. This is an option that should be off somewhere. I don't want information of SSI is integrated in the code every time, I download page.

• Is it possible to keep silence audio/video in mode code in Dreamweaver CC?

  Whenever I open a HTML file which contains the video or audio in Dreamweaver CC in Code view, it plays the audio or video. It's annoying, especially when you open several files at once because then your hear several audio files at once. Is it possible to disable this behavior for Code view?

  I can see why he'd do when in Live View mode (Dreamweaver tries to reproduce what would a browser), but why do that when opened in Code view? We do not audio or video to AutoPlay when displaying in the browser, so that Dreamweaver did just what we asked for a browser to do, but it would be nice to have the option that turns off. This behavior seems to be compatible with both the 2014.x and the 2015 versions. Our Dreamweaver template that we use is based on the model of fluid grid available from previous versions of Dreamweaver (by 2015), so the Design mode is not available. Thanks in advance for any suggestions/ideas.

  Close all other files, open the fluid grid css and add the X below:

  Then save and close the file.

  DW restart and you should have mode Design from here out on all files using this fluid grid .css file.
