Motherboard on Predator G3-605 and RAM

Good afternoon - well at least for my part of the world. :-)

I bought an Acer Predator G3-605 (new) a little over a week ago.

I have to admit that it's such a long time ago since I have read on different data components, and I still have knowledge of black holes in particular as to the compatibility.

I have two questions: the compatibility a rearding first and a second related to something else.

Question 1:

After some research, I found that the motherboard is indeed called "Predator G3 - 605'.» Well, on on the net-based stores carrying this model of Acer, the record shows that the RAM is 1600 MHz. I am yet to know (from my black holes of the knowledge of the computer) If this detailed specification showed information for specific components of RAM installed, or if this MSL tells that this megaherz / RAM type, which is the only type that can manage the card mother Predator G3 - 605?

I ask because I want to upgrade the RAM in the machine, and I wonder if I need to stay below the megaherz listed under the plug, or if I can use other megaherz, as long as I keep DDR3 - naturally -?

For you who have a good knowledge of computers in general, this first issue of the mine should be very easy to answer.

Question 2:

This issue is related to my attempt at an online chat after that I registered my Predator G3 - 605 an hour ago, I've done through the program "Acer Portal" which was already on my machine. So, immediately showed as registered successfully, but when I went on the chat, and plotted in my serial number, this info came:

«Our records indicate that you have entered the serial number is no longer eligible to warranty support.»

If you feel that this information is incorrect, please analyze and present a copy of your proof of purchase. »

(I have download the documents a few moments ago.)

I realize that this must be because I'm from Europe that I probably can't get help via a chat, but I still react on the info where my machine supposedly is not eligible for warranty support, that looks like my machine is too old for her.

I guess also that my machine do not appear as "eligible for warranty support" even though I downloaded the documents, and I have to call my local Acer support for all kinds of questions.

Should not rather the info automated show that the product is in warranty period, but not eligible to support from outside the country of purchase?

Fortunately this community exists, and I know that communities like these are usually a great help!

Especially easy question I had expected an easy game for many people. :-)

Thanks for your time.

If the finder memory does not work, you can always contact their sales dept to ensure you buy the right product.

It's always a more sure bet to buy ram with the same voltage than what you have installed, but I would probably check with Kingston.

As a first step, it starts up fine and work fast. I installed all the updates and soft, reboot several times and no problems.
After I put everything I have delete the windows HARD disk partition. Then system stop when windows starts.

    So far, I tried this:
    1. several resettlement on the SSD and HDD image or clean install.
    2. all the BIOS for SECURE BOOT settings (on/stop/standard/custom/key on / key removed) and CSM.
    3. I connect only SSD or HDD only and do recover or new installation.
4 delete all partitions and recover / clean installation.
    5. update of the BIOS/SSD firmware
6 recovery discs acer does not help. Even that resetting the BIOS.

Nothing helps. He works until the 'Configuration' window material and after the reboot that it stuck.
No idea what can be wrong and how to fix it?
    I do not know more
    Thanks for any help.

I finally found a solution by myself, so I'll post my solution here in case someone will have the same problem.
It works for me, can't promise it will work for everyone.

    My step by step solution:
    1. I created WindowsToGo on my USB with this statement:
    http://www.TomsHardware.co.UK/FAQ/ID-1867613/create-Windows-drive-Windows-enterprise.html
    2. from Acer Support I have download all the latest drivers for my Acer Predator G3 605 and extract everything to a special folder on my USB key
    3. I disconnect my HDD SATA cable drive (there is still no connected SSD)
    4. in the bios I have disable startup secure, activate the start menu and CSM always turn on
    5. After restart I press F12 and the start menu, I selected my USB with WinToGo
    6. once my Windows go hardware and post installation preparation I finally see the start menu.
    7. the first thing to do was connect my HDD SATA cable so windows automatically detects the drive
    8. I open prompt by admin, type diskpart, and then list disk, my HARD drive has disk 0 so I type select disk 0, then clean type
    9. I have installed all the drivers for my Acer and restart
10 after restarting, I go to my pre downloaded BIOS updated and open the app updated
11 choose ROM file, choose update all (not only part of pre selected), then click FLASH
12 reboot, unplug my USB and put it in my installation USB Windows 8 key (DVD can also be used)
    13. from Windows install go to advance the installation and choose the HARD drive (in this point installation program said that cannot be installed on this drive as bios don't have drivers, but I could still create partition, so I did two create and click Next)
    14. After all server files have been copied computer auto restart
15 Windows 8 shows the information for the preparation of the devices (it was the last part of work for me before, cuz after computer restart blocked)
    16. after restarting Windows boot and go to the Customization screen. Everything works.

I have to keep secure boot off and CSM on yet.

  • adding ram to the Acer Predator AG3-605-UR1D

I recently bought Acer Predator AG3-605-UR1D.

I was wondering if its possible to add an another ram (MemoryStick) inside. I know how to do this, I wanted to just make sure that the pc would leave me without breaking something.

  • How correctly to install RAM in my Acer Predator AG3-605-UR2F

I have to get out the existing 8 GB of ram that it comes with? I have to do something for the operating system so that it recognizes the new ram once I install it? (Beginner)

to take on the original of the ram, it depends on how much ram you need.

8GB is a good amount, but if you wanto to raise 16 GB and your Predator has only 2 RAM sticks, you can add a different RAM sticks 2 without removing the original ram but sticks

2 new RAM sticks must be exactly the same as the original or you will face a lot of questions.

If you want to raise up to 32 GB of ram, you can buy 4 8 GB ram sticks, so take off the original.

On the OS, there is no problem, the program will automatically configure at least if BIOS recognizes the right amount of ram installed.

I always use the same installation of Windows 7 64 via the same SSD. All the features of the OS I had before seem to be there except to exit Device Manager to correctly install the drivers for my wireless (Linksys AE1000 and TP Link N900) adapters. I downloaded the current driver for the Linksys Web site and I have the disc for the TP-Link and I tried several times to install, but keep the same message ' Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered an error trying to install it. Device Manager recognizes the device and it is not any question of State symbol (IE yellow triangle, etc.) that is displayed in conjunction with an adapter. I tried disable/re-enabling and uninstall/re-installing times and keep having the same problem. I tried to search in several forums of people with similar problems, but none of the resolutions seem to work or are suitable for my situation. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

When you upgrade your motherboard, cpu and ram, drivers for particular devices may not be related to other drivers. That's why I suggest you to install all the drivers for the chipset from the manufacturers website and see if that helps.

    Hello

I recently updated my motherboard, processor and RAM, but I kept my original 500 GB hard drive, and equipped with a hard drive 2 TB extra, after the upgrade, I downloaded windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. After the upgrade I plugged my external hard drive (which has all my stuff important on it, that is to say the photo, video etc.) to realize that I had he encrypted with bitlocker on my old sysem. Can I replace my old system with the old motherboard, hard drive and the original RAM to remove the external hard drive for bitlocker?

I still have the file windows.old on my hard drive, I have to restore it and remove the most recent version of windows 7 off the drive. I do this before I rebuild my old PC? I'm stuck here and would not lose all my photos (the wife would kill me!) I would appreciate your help.

    Hello

Reassembly of the old computer won't help. You will always need the key to open the Bitlocker.

  • Change of motherboard, cpu and ram by using the version of upgrade of windows 7

I plan on upgrading my motherboard, cpu and ram. I am using windows 7 Home premium that I have updated from xp using a retail upgrade disc that I bought from a company of national computer supplies. Should I have any problems activating this the wrench that came with the drive. I have read several posts on this but can't seem to find a definitive answer. Help, please!

Well, Windows XP and Windows 7 are versions of upgrade as you claim, that means XP used a qualifying version of Windows that is pre-installed with the system used the upgrade of the command.

This means, Windows XP and Windows 7 are both related to this version of Windows that came with the system. Because the copy of the original Windows supplied with the system would have been an OEM license, which means, Windows 7 and XP have more rights to transfer if you change the motherboard.

You can always try a clean install with upgrade.

How to do a clean install with upgrade disc:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

recently purchased and installed a new CPU card mother and Ram, in doing so, I had to re - install Windows 7, now is telling my My Code is not valid. What should I do?

If your license is OEM then it cannot be transferred to a different motherboard. (there is due to the default exception)

To analyze and solve problems for Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the diagnostic report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

    Once downloaded, run the tool.

Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button.

Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message. (please do not change the report.)

Much depends on what the 'it', is that you have bought from your friend. If it's a computer with a retail version of Windows 7 64-bit, collect any proof of purchase of your friend or you have to the Win 7 retail and contact the team of complementary pieces of Microsoft. If you have evidence convincing or compelling property of the product, they will provide installation media nd the corresponding key. There is a charge.

  • I have a retail version of Windows 7 (home premium). I buy a new motherboard, processor and RAM. Will be my install of Windows 7 function properly?

As mentioned, I have a full commercial copy of Windows 7 Home Premium and I'm on the point to replace my motherboard, processor and RAM.  Windows 7 will work properly?  If this is not the case, what should I do to make this happen?  Thank you!

    Hello

With a license for the retail of Windows 7, you can change any material you want.

You will probably have to reinstall windows 7 as the 'old' motherboard drivers will be always installed on this drive hard (if you use the same drive where Windows 7 is already installed), so that he will probably not start correctly.

You can even move a license to retail to another computer if that never fails

The rule is: a license for a single installation.

Here's how to do a clean install of Windows 7.

    9. If the automated Service is unsuccessful

    (A) if the automatic activation service informs you that she has failed and cannot help with activation, then STAY ON THE LINE and your call will be transferred to an operator of activation which will help you to activate your copy of Windows 7. If you get suspended under all pending, then phone back, but this time DO NOT respond when the ansafone asks what service you need (twice). This puts in the queue to speak to an engine and does not appear to expire so fast. The operator will give you a confirmation ID number if they accept that your copy of Windows 7 is legitimate.
NOTE: The operator just explain your situation and what you did to require activation. (EX: hardware upgrade, installed Windows 7 on a new computer after uninstalling it from the old one, etc...)

  • Gel with my Acer predator g3-605

    Hello

First of all, I would say I'm sorry for my bad English because it is not my mother tongue.

So here's my problem: since I bought my acer predator g3-605 I gel on it when I play games.

I searched and found that I am not the only one having these gel but none of the solutions helped me.

I tried a lot of solutions such as:

    • Update the drivers via Geforce experience
    • Uninstall/reinstall applications/games that freeze
    • Move the games/applications on the disk HARD or, on the contrary, to the SSD.
    • Factory (!) "restart" at the beginning

I found a similar post of my friends on this forum, but the only solution for him was to send his pc to replace it with another computer, and I'd found a solution without changing my PC.

    With our thanks,

I think your motherboard is faulty. I suggest you contact your Acer support.

Sorry I can't help you more.

  • How can I upgrade my PROCESSOR and RAM

Hello, I use a HP Compaq Presario CQ43. There with APU AMD E-450 with Radeon HD graphics card and 2.0 GB of RAM. My question is can I upgrade my processor and RAM 4 GB because I want to play games. If Ican please tell me how? Please help me.

    Your Service Manual:

    Manual

You already have the best processor that can fit on your motherboard which is an AMD version. Theoretically, you can go with a card mother Intel and processor, but that would cost a lot of money (more than a new laptop) and give only slightly better graphics. not yet for the games. To be explicit, the graphics 'card' are not a card, but a single chip directly soldered on the motherboard and cannot be removed, replaced, improved or anything of the sort.

The slightly good news is that you can install up to 8 GB of memory... is the DDR3-1333 SO-DIMM. That will boost the overall performance, but still not make a game by a long shot machine.

  • Acer Predator AG3-605 case fans?

Hello, I saw that the predator AG3-605 does not come with box fans, but has the slots for them, I just wanted to know what size fan do I need for the side and rear of the case.

    Saniro,

You made a good observation, but the system is designed for energy efficiency and the optimal use of the way in which it has been designed from the factory. I just found a location for a system fan and it's backward. Looks like it can accommodate 80mm or 120mm fan, but I'm not sure that these specifications are not included because it was not designed with the idea of using or needing the extra airflow.

  • Predator AG3-605-UR1D - Bay Swap Easy?

I just bought the predator AG3-605-UR1D.  I saw that he has what they call an Easy Swap Bay in front - it has an orange button on it and I understand that you can put a hard drive in there for the extra space.  I have a hard drive and ready to go, but I'm unable to get the Bay Easy Swap out.

I read that its as simple as pushing the orange button and pulling on it, but I can't seem to break away.  I noticed a screw on the left side of the Bay - what I should it unscrew out of the Bay?

    Any help would be great!

I solved the problem!  The screw is indeed the reason why it was not opening of the Bay.  For all users with this chassis, you will need a torx screwdriver, unscrew.
