Motherboards and keyboards for laptop computer Vaio model: SVE171E13M

Hello

My name is Mark.

I am aware of the fact that Sony put an end to the production of portable vaio, but I still want to know if Sony always produces keyboards for portable Sony Vaios and motherboards for model: SVE171E13M? I would appreciate a response.

Thanks in advance!

Hi BowlinMark,

Thank you for considering the Sony community!

For models/customers in the United States and in some countries, we usually refer them to https://sony.encompass.com/ or contact here for parts and accessories of their Sony devices. Unfortunately, your Vaio SVE171E13M was not recognized by our system. No doubt this isn't an American model or it's just the chassis number.

Since you are outside the United States and most likely, the unit is not as well US, please recommend our website world of Sony for more information contact the Sony Support Center in your area to the http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/Support/ for further assistance with your question.

Kind regards

Vincent

    Hello

I'm sorry to hear that, but I think that these things can happen. Nobody's perfect ;)

Well, you can get a new mother card and keyboard form an authorized service provider. Technicians can also exchange parts and check your laptop (maybe other parts defective too).

Here, you can search the nearest SPAS:

Yes, you can use an external keyboard on the laptop as I do on mine.

  • If I put a new motherboard and Cpu in my computer it will affect the license of vista 64

I thought to upgrade my computer with a new motherboard and processor will this affect my license of vista, I guess I'll have to reinstall after I change them.

    OEM is OEM

"If Vista is preinstalled on your computer, or you purchased an OEM/license disk, they are both classified as an OEM license and are not transferable.

    you are the System Builder

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop.

This is why the OEM license you bought was cheaper than a retail sales license

and Microsoft normally class the motherboard as the heart of the machine.

you need to reinstall vista as the existing hard drive installed vista installed the old motherboard drivers

You can try the tips I gave you in the 1st answer, if you have problems

  • Changing motherboard and PSU for PCI-E 2.0 GTX 460

    System: p7-1012

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Is it Possible to change my motherboard on a new on this system because I am currently a great player,

and I have this system and all back in December of the year last Aaron and I am wanting to know if there is any possible way to replace the motherboard for http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131767 and

    The power supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027.

With respect to the GPU, I already have a GTX 460 that my friend gave me still a bit new sound Alienware, just put two SLI GTX 680 in his system.

I'm wanted to know if this is possible currently, I have no money for a new system and I was, I hoping to play Guild Wars 2 on settings at least average to high.

If Possible, I can spend up to $ 300.

and Yes, I measured the card to settle here.

    Hello

Microsoft and HP attach the OEM Windows license to the original motherboard in the PC. Change the motherboard in many cases is considered the evolution of PCs and OEM licenses are not transferable.  Check with Microsoft for the official position when you change a motherboard and the old motherboard has "failed" and a replacement right cannot be obtained.

There are plenty of bargains and the choice is usually personal and may be based on the technical specifications and your expansion needs.

    Case:

    Cooler Master

    Corsair

    Rosewill future.

    many other cases...

Another point to think is the card reader. You may be able to transfer old drive to a new case. You need to match your needs personal front port with the case of your choice.  You may want to USB 3.0, Audio, 1394 and eSATA to the front.  Perhaps may need to do some research on cases.

  • Copy of pictures/catalogue of desk for laptop computer

I'm finally to the point where my photos on the desktop and laptops are on the same drive letter and the same exact path.  I only work with one at a time.  The office when the home and laptop computer when he's away.  Instead of using the backup/restore, looks like I can just copy the catalog file and the folder of Photos on the other machine - say the laptop.  Then everything away I could score some photos or import a bit.  Back that I could copy the catalog and Photos on the desktop and it will sync.

Unless that metadata and other associated information is stored outside of the catalog folder, this scenario seems reliable.  The main obstacle is overcome by the pictures being in the same < drive >: \ < path >.  So, I have both with the reconnection.

Anyone who thinks that somehow, that it would not work?

Yes, it will not work if you use PSE9 or later, because the Organizer use the reader unique volume ID to identify the location of the pictures.  If your photos are stored on an external drive, then it might work if the drive is connected the same drive letter.

If your photos are on separate drives, you probably better using MS Sync Toy

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=15155

to maintain a directory of photos synchronized between computers and saying to the organiser at re - import photos after synchronization.  Tags must be written in the image files themselves so that the tags to be updated in the catalog of the Organizer.

  • UK keyboard for laptop US - possible?

    Hello

I have a notebook DV5-2045dx; my daughter uses it and she loves him due to his own size. There is a minor inconvenience for her, it has a keyboard layout of United States so the @ "are in another place and he has key no. £.»

She can work around him most of the time but with exams looming, she is eager to get a UK layout. Anyone know if this is possible? I scoured Ebay but because he is an American model, it seems, UK keyboards are like hen's teeth. rare!

    Can someone advise please?

    Thank you

    Hello

Unfortunately, the machine was only for a few markets (no British model) and has only keyboards in some countries, as shown in the page #64 the 2nd keyboard on the following link:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us & LC = in & Product = 4221492

You can try using the software keyboard under Windows, then use stickers to mark the new layout:

USB keyboard may also help BUT cannot carry.

  • Atrix HDMI to laptop computer Vaio HDMI connection does not

I adapted my Atrix on the multimedia dock, connected power and then connected to the mm HDMI cable anchor on my laptop Vaio HDMI, I have read and understood the firefox browser should be launched directly, but did not, I missed something?

By the way, I have the kit multimedia motorola set.

    Advise me please.

    Thank you

There are few things mingle here:

    1. the webtop is initiated when the Atrix is connected to the HD multimedia dock and the dock is connected to the TV via HD.

    2. the webtop includes the full version of Firefox running a customized version of Ubuntu

    3. connect multimedia dock via HDMI to laptop will not work because this HDMI connection on the laptop, the output not in. Also, why put phone firefox on laptop? Just open firefox on the laptop.

    4. connection from computer to phone via USB will launch all apps on the phone. Which allows to "Motorola Phone Portal" (when USB connected) will cause the computer's browser to open and gives you access to some data of the phone - Contacts, SMS, photos and let you handle these things via the computer.

5 Motorola has another application - Motorola Media Link; You can download and use to manage music and movies.

    6. If you want to use the webtop application when it is connected to a TV, you can, but it takes the phone to have turned on WiFi or an approved carrier data plan - if you want to use internet applications.

  • update of hard drive on laptop computer Pavilion model # dv6-2043us, product # VM285UA #ABA

    Hello

    I have a HP Pavilion laptop model # dv6-2043us, product # VM285UA #ABA with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. It came with a Toshiba model # MK3256GSY, 320 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 2 Hard Drive. I want to upgrade this drive to a 750 GB Western Digital model WD7500BPKT # 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache SATA 3.0 Gbit / s hard.

The BIOS will recognize that new drive 750 GB and the system recovery DVD will restore the original software on this new 750 GB drive?

    Thank you for your help.

Yes it should not be a problem. The BIOS will not limit the size of a SATA hard drive and the recovery disc will work on a drive as large or larger than the original. You can also duplicate the old drive to the new or just use Windows Easy Transfer to create a 'migration' file that will restore your settings and files to the new drive after putting Windows on it. Post back if you need some help with that. Good luck.
