  Please provide details: you are not trying to change the file type by changing just the extension, are you?  That won't work of course,

  Either you try to run some type of script?

  To change a file type, you have TO open the file in Photoshop and do save as.  That can be automated.

  Even logged on as administrator, you have not all privileges unless you raise them. This is done to prevent malware to take control of your computer when logged in as an administrator.

  I have a problem that I'm sure has a simple explanation but I don't know.  I have a folder in the tree that whenever a user moves a file from one folder to another, the permissions do not update.  Yet if a user copies the folder to the same location, permissions to update as expected.  This only happens with XP.  If I try with Win 7, if the user moves or copies, update permissions.

  Make a bunch of audio files, placed in a folder on my desktop. Files initially sent to RealPlayer to burn, but when finished burning CD and went to read a CD, folder got seized by Media Player, 'Indexed' and disappeared from the office. I don't like the way search works under Vista.   You will lose not no editing, as you did on the picture when you move the File.You can always undo any changes made to your image (non-destructive editing) in the history panel in the develop module. The content of your Raw file is not affected.

  The warning below is just saying that Ctrl (command) + Z will not void. . It moves the file to the original location too. (of course, you can move the file back to the previous location)

  If you're on ESX 3.0, you can do a few things.  We could be to stop the virtual machine in question, and then choose migrate.  In the wizard you will be asked if you want to 'keep' or 'move', choose move.  Another way would be to use VMware Converter

  If you ran 2.5 and ESX 3.5 vCenter, you could do it live with sVmotion.
