    2. are you referring to the xreg.exe or ereg.exe?

If his ereg.exe, then it is related to the registration of Logitech products.

I don't remember the name of the Mozilla weather program that was on my computer, but it's gone now that I updated to Firefox 4.0.1. I don't know how to get it back!

Of course, there is a way to reinstall Firefox 3.6. He will continue with updates of security for some time. But first of all, check if you can bring your missing taskbar menu toolbars:

(If you have the orange Firefox button, press the Alt key)

    View > toolbars

If you do not see one specifically for the weather, make sure that the bar of the add-on is displayed.

  • Windows media player - "you need to update DirectX version 8.1 or higher" when you try to convert WMA files to MP3 with Jodix files

My nephew has recently tried to convert wma into mp3 files so I could put on my mp3 player. He used Jodix and everything seems to be going as planned until we try to get the songs from Windows Media Player. A message: you need to update DirectX version 8.1 or higher. Well, I tried to download from Windows and got a message saying that I already have the latest version of DirectX. So back to Jodix and found another message that says: I may need to update Windows Media Player to version 7.1 or later version. Only, I don't know what version I have (sorry, I can't find the information). And I don't even know what to do if I found the info. Really, I just want to make my purchases from Wal-Mart (purchased several years as wma) to play on my mp3 player. Can someone help me? I would like your advice. Thank you!

  • AVG scan returns broken digital signature

Original title: scanned any computer with AVG 2011 first time and had 13 results. Here is one of them. What it means?

    ;" C:\Windows \Installer \14475d.msi «;» The file is signed with a digital signature that is broken, published by: AVG Technologies. « ; » »

The message is "informational" only, you can check the file to see if it looks suspicious, and out of place, but above all I have just to tell AVG to ignore it, especially when he talks about the files 'signed' by Microsoft, AVG, or other well-known companies.

  • Code 80070241 in Windows update and "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file" when you try to run any program.

Windows Update has appeared today when we started one of our machines, informing us that there are some installed updates. After reviewing the updates, we clicked on the "Install now" button, and immediately, it failed with the above error code.

I tried to run regedit a reason unrelated, and it came with a dialog box error with "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. »

After researching here and elsewhere on google and did not find anything suitable, put us in the Win7 disk, recovery tools and tried to go back to a previous system restore point (3 days).

The restoration went well, restarted, but the problem persists.

Then, we just tried to install anti-malware software, but when trying to run the installer, we get a different error message indicating 'ShellExecuteEx failed; Code 577 "and then the same message on the verification of the digital signature.

The computer is running fine all yesterday and has worked very well since just after the new year when he has been upgraded to Windows 7. No material changes have been made, and no software changes were made by users in the course of last week.

The computer is an AMD Athlon II X 4 with 4 GB of RAM on a motherboard Asus M4A78-EM, linking a 64 GB SSD, with a 250 GB drive SATA data/programs. GPU is a Nvidia 260, and it has a CD and DVD player as well. It is connected to our router using the gigabit ethernet interface motherboards.

It was under windows 32 - bit XP SP3 up just after the new year. When we put in place the new SSD to replace a hard drive older than we have did a new install of XP (slipstreamed with SP3) and then used the upgrade 32-bit W7 Home premium DVD version to upgrade the system. Since then, the system runs flawlessley.

On the machine is MS office XP, Firefox 3.6.3, AVG 8.5 and a few games such as the Turbine DDO.

The main user account used to try to solve these problems and to run Windows Update and try installing programs is a member of the Administrators group.

Firefox works fine, serve, and he plays the games installed very well also. AVG reports to date, with no problems and has detected no threat.

However, try to view the registry with regedit, or start Viewer event or compmgmt.msc that all do appear the message "cannot verify the digital signature.

    ***************************************************

Can anyone offer an opinion on what might be wrong with this facility please, and how we could do to solve?

Cannot run chkdsk/scandisk as he bought the message "cannot verify the digital signature" etc etc.

This morning, the machine began to behave differently - stop playing back badly, refused to start Device Manager, open Control Panel correctly etc.

So, I reset the BIOS to boot from the CD-ROM, slapped XP SP3 in reinstalled, then upgraded to Win 7 again.

Still have no idea what caused the problem, but it seems to be gone now - reinstalled the same applications, AV / programs anti-malware, games, etc and everything seems to go fine now.

    * shrug *.

  • after update I lost friends, and looks. Help, please.

After the update, I lost friends and looks of my watch. Do the topics appear in the app to watch on my phone either. This also occurred on the watch of my son. Can anyone help?

    Hello

Under watch OS 3, the friends feature (which was available in previous versions) comes over and there is no direct replacement for it.

When making calls or sending of new messages, contacts instead can be selected via the phone and Messages applications or using Siri:

Looks also was replaced, under watch OS 3, by the Dock, to which up to ten of your favorite applications can be added:

Once they have been added, you can access apps from the Dock by pressing the side button once and then slip between them and by tapping on them.

You can, for example, to add Messages to the Dock and phone applications.

  • Vista SP1, and Adobe Acrobat digital signatures not compatible

I have a laptop HP with Vista home premium.  I installed Adobe Acrobat 8 professional.  I installed Service Pack 1 for Vista and lost features of Adobe.  Whenever I try to open a PDF with a digital signature, the system freezes and requires a hard restart (remove the battery and everything) to go back.  Given that digital signatures are a part of my daily work, they are required to work.  I uninstalled SP1 and everything went back to normal.  Any update or fix for this?

  • The digital signature does not not after 11.0.09 update.

    Hello

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI at the office and was able to use the digital certificate provided by my company and stored in the Windows certificate store to digitally sign PDF documents. After the update (11.0.09) that has stopped working; When I try to sign a document, I'm invited to create a digital ID or choose an existing one from a file; A digital ID for roaming, accessible through the server; A device connected to this computer. However, I can't use existing ID which is always available in the Windows certificate store and used to work before.

(The same thing happens with the digital signature in Adobe Reader after the update).

Has changed nothing about how certificates are used for digital signatures with this last update?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards
    Cornel.

Take a look at my question. Possibly related: can use GoDaddy certificate to sign into Microsoft Office Word 2010, but not in Adobe Acrobat XI 10.0.09
