MS SQL server procedure fails in ODI

Hi Experts,

Try to run the MSSQL of ODI procedure. Successful MSQL connectivity test. But some how I get below error

ODI-1228: Procedure-PROC_IF-PROC_R_ADD of the task fails when you connect target BID_MSSQL.

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: incorrect syntax [FMWGEN] [SQLServer JDBC Driver] [SQL Server] about ')'.

I write the following on the target as below

Technoloyg: MS server

Command: EXEC R_Add()

I use a syntax wrong here? Please suggest

Concerning

ASP.

Do not use brackets to call the MS SQL procedure, try:

EXEC R_Add;

If you want to pass the user parameter EXEC R_Add @param = value

It seems to be a typo here. Can clarify you...

The error "[Macromedia] [SQLServer JDBC Driver] [SQL Server] procedure or function 'ListClientDPReceiptFormat' expects the parameter '@idCient', which was not provided."  the parameter defined as @idCient but your cfprocparam dbvarname = has ' @idClient'. .

    These are spelled differently.

I think that this may be related to what is mentioned in this bug - Bug #3865064 - ColdFusion 11 3 CFPROCRESULT case update

    Adam Cameron notes:

" Basically, then, it's a matter of the code in question was wrong, but the user has been getting away with it because the DBVARNAME was ignored. Now that it is not ignored, the code must actually be legitimate ;-). Very well, in that case. »

I tried (19 times) to install SQL Server 2008 Express on my Windows XP Home Edition with SP 3. Whenever it produces a "generation of the document XML error". It means that it the only application that you have installed in the PS_HOME you run the DBWizard of. If you want more, or another application, you must install it on the same PS_HOME and restart the DBWizard.

    Hello

Did you use the feature updates checking or manually download the jar file? Checking for updated works far for me sometimes and sometimes not. For manual installation, then you must add an entry for the jTDS jar here...

Seems that I misread your message. If you have downloaded the jar and added an entry for her in the third of the JDBC drivers, Sybase and SQL Server tabs must be present in the new connection dialog box. Especially if you have unzipped Developer SQL in a directory is empty and your user preferences settings are located in a directory that always remains accessible in writing for you. Make sure that your installation is clean.

  • data replication with ODI between SQL SERVER and ORACLE

    Hello world
First of all, I want to migrate database SQL SERVER and ORACLE DB tables.
And then make online (synchronous) replication from SQL SERVER to ORACLE using ODI.

I have not used before ODI.
How to use the ODI for this?

    1. create a master repository and connect to the "topology Manager.
    2. in the topology Manager, you must configure the following
2.1 create a data server for the Oracle under Oracle database in the physical connection
2.2. create a database for the SQL Server database server in SQL Server in the physical connection. To do this, the jdbc for sql server driver.
2.3 implement the logical connection and frame
2.4 create a workrepository in the topology manager repositories tab
    3. connect to the designer and follow these steps
3.1 create a template for the SQL Server source and reverse (import) the datastores (tables) to the model.
3.2 the value of the model for the target of the Oracle
3.3 create a (mapping) interface, under the table in schema define the source and then add it to the target and bind
3.3 on the flow tab, you must set the Modules (KMs) of knowledge to perform the load. You must have imported the KMs before creating the interface.
3.4 in IKM put 'create table traget' to 'yes '.
4 run the interface to load data from SQL to Oracle Server

    Thank you

  • Failed to connect to SQL Server SQL Dev

Test the connection to Sql Server 2000 failed with "Unable to connect to MS SQL Server [ip address]." How can I find out why the connection failed? (bad port, invalid password, etc.). Thank you.

    Hello

The first things to know when you connect to MS SQL SERVER is the host or ip address and port.
If they are correct when you click RECOVER the DATABASE, you are able to see all the database on the server that you specified.
Ways of connection are ok, but of course user and password is perhaps incorrect at this level.
If no database is recovered, it means that the host or / and port are not correct.

Then before to click TEST, you are able to recover the database with button to RECOVER the DATABASE?
Are you able to ping the remote computer (SQL SERVER) with the ip address or hostname?
Are you sure on the port for SQL Server?

    Kind regards

  • In SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 UltraLiteJ synchronization

    Hi all

Does anyone know how to synchronize to SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 UltraLiteJ?

I tried this, but there is an error showed.

Detected a version unknown or damaged configuration of the MobiLink system under owner 'dbo '.

I had created a DSN. But when I created the synchronization model, it failed, I could shoot.

When I run the MS-DOS command prompt Mobilink server, an error has occurred again,

[- 10002] "Consolidated database server or ODBC error: ODBC: [Microsoft] [ODBC SQL Server driver] [SQL Server] Login failed for user (null)".
Reason: Not associated with a SQL Server login that is approved. (State = 28000 ODBC, Native error code is 18452)

Could someone help me with the setting and the code maybe?

    Hi Hari,

You can ignore the warning 'version' unknown or damaged The synchronization model compares its own set of system tables against what you have in SQL Server and responds with this warning if it detects a difference. The comparison is strict, and it may signal a difference for reasons such as unusual places or different ODBC drivers. The message should have been accompanied by a detailed description, which would explain what he saw different.

Looks like your MobiLink server starts correctly and connects to the database. If it does not start successfully, you should see a message "Server MobiLink has begun" in the server window, and you should not see any entries in the window of the server starting with 'E'.

So if you have deployed your synchronization model, and the server is started, the next question is why your synchronization failed. It would be useful to retrieve the codes of error on the device, software versions and the MobiLink log entries using a comprehensive framework as - v + on the MobiLink command line. I would suggest that we are pursuing in the Sybase for MobiLink newsgroup, where you will find a number of people who are more expert that I am to all aspects of MobiLink.

You can access newsgroups via the web or by using a News Reader. The starting point for the two is http://www.sybase.com/support/community-forums and the newsgroup you need is sybase.public.sqlanywhere.mobilink (http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1009240 ).

I think this would be your best way to go for that matter.

  • Installation of ODI with SQL Server 2005

    Hello
I try to install ODI with MS Sql Server 2005.
I created a database in Sql Server and created a user with rights to connect to the database db_owner.

While trying to install master repository, I selected Sql Server with the following details
    Driver: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
    URL: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver: / / < myhostname >: 1433; SelectMethod = cursor

The repository not created in error:
    * com.sunopsis.core.q: java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft] [SQLServer 2000 for JDBC driver] [SQL Server] the new tabular data stream (TDS) procedure remote call (RPC) protocol stream is incorrect. Parameter 1 (""): data type 0 x 38 is unknown *.

Now, if I change the URL to jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver: / / < myhostname >: 1433, the repository is created successfully. But when you log in Repository Manager to the topology using the same basic shape, again invites me the same error.

Has anyone faced the same problem?

    Hello

You are using SQL server 2005 but try to connect by using SQL server connection details 2000 you should use

    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver

    JDBC:SQLServer://servername:1433; databaseName = DBNAME; SelectMethod = cursor

You must also make sure that you use the correct driver SQL server 2005, if you use a version of Java before 1.5 to ODI so you will need the JDBC SQL Server 2005 1.2 driver.

    See you soon

If the answer is Yes, where is the problem? We use the following JDBC driver:

    com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
    JDBC:Microsoft:SQLServer: / / < host >: < port >

And we download the sqljdbc_2.0 driver.

    Thank you very much

    Araitz. -.

You should check which version of the JVM is required by this version of the driver, if I remember the 2.x versions require a JAVA 1.6 virtual machine (I coul dbe wrong, I would remember something like that)

What error do you get? If it's the ' com.sunopsis.sql.c: no driver appropriate ", it says it can't find the jar file (sqljdbc.jar) for the driver you specify. Pilots oracledi is the right place to make it.

  • Server SQL, stored procedure

    Hi all

I use an ODI procedure to call stored procedures in SQL Server 2.

In the steps of the procedure, I have 2 - one for each proc and the syntax is simply the name of the stored procedure.

The overall procedure is defined as being a part of the SCENE and advanced pattern to a TEST context - the pattern of staging is SQL Server technology.

When I run the procedure, it does not say that it cannot find the stored procedure, but if I give him a fully resolved path (i.e. db_name.dbo.usp_proc1) and restart the stage in operator, it works fine.

Now--and correct me if I make a wrong assumption here - I thought that values for catalog and schema in the definition of database server would be added to the statement. I don't want to hard code my db_name and owner in my procedure that makes porting applications to another a little rigid environment.

ODI obviously understands that the command is a SQL Server stored procedure but don't derive from the elements defined by the schema specified in the step of the procedure.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    G

You must use the odiRef.getObjectName () method of substitution
This method returns the full name of a physical object, including its catalog and schema.
Take a look at the doc for the settings...

  • Windows Update (KB2463332) Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 4 fails (twice).

I have not asked for it.  The update that is mentioned in the title just appear as a windows update, as usual.  This is not the first time that I had a problem with windows update in Windows 7.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit.  When windows tries to update my computer with the update described in the title, it fails.  The first time, it failed with the error code 6 b 2.  The second time the error code was 80070005.

After these failures, I downloaded the service pack directly from Microsoft.  The name of the file is: 'SQLServer2005SP4-KB2463332 - x 64 - ENU.exe "I can't believe the silly problems I encounter by train to run this update.  He keeps asking me to find the correct path for various and different .msi files.  Not these files are in the file "SQLServer2005SP4-KB2463332 - x 64 - ENU.exe" and the installer should not know it.  Who is writing this software for Microsoft, at least, a bunch of monkeys?  I'm serious!

There's a free banana in there for anyone who can provide the answer.

I expect that all the monkeys will take offense to my request and that I will not receive a response.  I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I really don't like!

I wanted to just let you all know what I think about the quality of your work.
