Multiply Defined error installation update

Hello

I have a .cod of an application I submitted to the world app in June. I'm currently testing the update of the application to a new version with new data, I have now.

I installed the original .cod (same as on app world) through javaloader. Then I install my location of OTA update. What happens is that two versions of the application are now on the phone, and newest throws "multiply defined" error.

Why one does not replace the second?

Edit: I just noticed the name of project applications is slightly different. Versions were also 1.11 (the former) and 1.2 (a new one). Stupid me - inference of rims of version numbers means that 1.11 is greater than 1.2.

I'll update here with results.

Edit 2: no chance. I have the name of the applications, the same, the seller of the same name and the version number is higher than the original. What I noticed is under the management of the App, the original version has 'Applications' listed on the bottom, two of them. The new version includes (1) Modules: and a module that I can choose. When I open the module, it identifies the applications as the original version.

Any ideas?

Both versions have produced different modules names. The module names do the same work.

I imagine that if the update have been completely handled by App World, it would not be a problem but it was for OTA downloads.

If someone can confirm that?

Since neither updates Jan - 10 have installed, I'm going to hand you Support MS in the hope that they can resolve the problem. See below.

That being said, is an interpretation of the 80070017 - cyclic redundancy check error "a device attached to the system does not work," which suggests that a hardware problem might be the cause of the error (although I must say that it is a very low possibility in this case).

    Good luck!

  • error: symbol multiply defined

    Hello

I just tried to migrate an application comipled and tied for the last time in 6 CVI.

I created a new project and workspace and added all the files including the lib files.

Under CVI 6.0 all compiled and linked to the fine.

Now, with CVI 2013 compilining works fine, but when you link I get the following error messages:

"Build status (V5.prj - Release XSoft)
    XSoft V5.exe link
    error: multiply defined symbol '_Get_CardDesc@8' in ' D2K - Dask.lib' and ' PCI - Dask.lib'.
    error: multiply defined symbol '__imp__Get_CardDesc@8' in ' D2K - Dask.lib' and ' PCI - Dask.lib'.
    Build failed. »

    Any help?

    Thank you

    Andreas

    Hi, RTM,

It seems as that not a CVI of the file that generates the error. If you use only one of the lib files, you have the same problem? If not, the question is what message tells you more defined.

How did you start parsing the code?

    Hi Robxx,

InPlace upgrade performs a repair facility that will repair the current installation of Windows to the version of the installation DVD.

Note Run a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer.

To perform a repair installation of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, follow these steps:

    1. Close all running applications.
    2. Insert the Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 DVD into the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. In the settings window, click install now.

Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:

      1. Click Start

        Collapse this includes this image

, and then type Drive : \setup.exe in the box to start the search .

Note The Drive placeholder is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.

      2. In the list of programs , click Setup.exe.
      3. In the settings window, click install now.
    4. Click connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).
    5. Type the CD key if you are prompted to do so.
    6. In the "Windows Installer" page select the operating system you wantto update orInplace.
    7. Click Yes to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.
    8. On the which type of installation you want? of the screen, clickupgrade.
    9. When the installation is complete, restart your computer and try again to install updates.

If your PC is OEM that his pain, because you can only use recovery CD to restore the original state, which means that you must back up all data before restoring.

Most often this error 0 X 8007002 is related to the corruption of the file system that system preparation tool or SFC/scannow is not able to fix so the only option is step mentioned above (upgrade inplace or what we call previous repair installation)

    I hope this helps!

  • After uninstalling printer Windows Installer and Microsoft Office error "this update package not could be opened"

Original title: Windows Installer and Microsoft Office problems after you have uninstalled the printer

I tried to install more than one printer, a HP Photosmart C4280 by downloading the drivers and updates on the HP site. I uninstalled the printer after it failed to scan a document and I had no more use for it. Then the trouble started. When I tried to open some programs (iTunes, Skype, etc.) for the first time after the uninstall of the printer, a window "Windows Installer" popped up. After you have configured Windows Installer, the program would open normally. However, when I try to open any Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), Windows Installer appears, but it turns into a window that reads:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package. »

Microsoft Office programs are open at all, and I desperately need my programs of Microsoft Office to work even faster. I would appreciate it if Windows Installer will stop trying to configure when I open a program also. Can someone help me please?

  • Windows Installer update in the user Session

I use a WSUS 3.0 Sp2 server and the WUA_SearchDownloadInstall.vbs tscript for install updates on Server 2003 X 64 SP2. Search and download works fine logged on as a user, but the installation fails unless I'm actuall 'connected' as a member of the Administrators group. I tried things like "RunAS" and "PSexec" by using the credentials of the directors, but it still does not install it.

An excerpt from WindowsUpdate.log. It shows that istrying Windows Update to do something under my ID "HST25772\LOCALUSER" (my user), even if I started the script with PSExec (1.98) and used my administrator credentials. I'm relatively certain that this will cause the failure. If I do a full logon with the same ID Admin, installation works very well. Is there a way to perform the installation of WU part in session 'user' but use PSExec with the Admin ID? All thoughts of work around this would be appreciated.
