  Here are several different fixes for this type of problem because it can be caused by different things.  If none of these fixes work, try uninstalling the drive completely, including the drivers and any third party software you have, then restart and reinstall everything burning.

  The USHolidays calendar was read only and some how has been chosen.
  When I select my home calendar I can now add new events/tasks.

  Seems that your preview cache has become corrupted.

  You must go to the same place where your catalog is stored and get rid of Previews.lrdata (not .lrcat) file

  Then, launch Lightroom and check.
