It is relatively simple as you use and that you want to use WLM.

You will need to copy a folder from where it is (the old installation) to another place where you know it will be (for example on your desktop)

The folder is c:\users\your user name\app data (if it is not there, see the note below) \local\microsoft\

At that point you will see a folder named oddly enough "windows live mail" copy on your desktop

If you don't see the app data because it is invisible atm.  To make it visible, you need to go to your control panel > folder options > view > change to hidden folders (see figure)

Once you have mail backed up on your desktop (or where ever) drag the folder from the desktop to the location for the new WLM (once again we C;-... just like above).  Just make sure that WLM does not run in time.  What wont be imported, it of passwords and rules.

Accounts and data should now be in the new WLM when you open it.

    Hello

Yes sorry for the confusion, I used OE now on Windows live mail

I was thinking about the error - with her referring to a "incorrect password", which I was 100% sure is the right.  (As well as all the settings again 100% correct that I compare with laptop on the desktop).

I decided to log in my account of talktalk, which manages my phone, broadband etc and change my password by e-mail. Just to see if that would work.

For some reason, it worked and I got e-mails from talktalk in windows live!  I did the same thing for my 2nd talktalk email address and my 3rd & last and it worked. !!

I just don't understand not, as mentioned, all my p/Word & settings were correct.    It looks like I can well have solved the problems.

Thanks again for your help, the setting of the pointingme in the direction of windows essentials, I downloaded, without your advice I would still look to the 'Mail' to add that these e-mail addresses of talktalk in windows live!

I have Windows 7.  Monthly Live Email retrieves all my emails for the past 2 years and puts them in my Inbox.  Today, it was all my emails to August 2014.  I called Verizon because they are my email server support and they said it is a known issue and there is a difficulty.  They think it's the registry entry.

Can someone help me find the patch and apply it?

With the publication of the description, I understand that the Dungeon of Windows Live Mail, recovery of emails for the last two years your Windows 7 machine. I will certainly help you get this fixed number.

I would be grateful if you could help me with more information:

Have you tried to access webmail? If so, do you see the old emails on this subject?

I would like to inform you that Windows Live Mail is an application that is set up your Verizon account. If you get two years old information/emails in the Inbox that information arrives through the server.

However, if you see the old emails only on Windows Live Mail then the application could be corrupted. Why, you can follow the steps below to repair Windows Live Mail:

    1. go in Control Panel, and then click programs.

    2. click on programs and features.

    3. right click Windows Live Essentials, and click Uninstall/Change.

    4. in the dialog box, select repair all Windows Live programs .

    5. once the repair is complete, restart when asked.

But if you meet the two years old emails on webmail also, then the problem might be with Verizon. I suggest you to contact the courier service provider.

Hope this information is useful. Please come back to write to us if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.
