  After the upgrade to 10.11.6:-

  1. my iMac (21.5 in. 500 GB) used stop - it just goes to the picture of the screen. + pointer.

  2. after a forced shutdown it starts very slowly with many "beach ball".

  3. many applications also takes ages to open (with beachballing).

  4. I tried repair disk (says it's okay) and applejack which has some difficulties to locate 'virtual memory', but otherwise, seems happy.

  What does all this mean? and what I can do about it?
