  Recently reported several cases of blocked MSDN keys packed with the media looking legitimate. I can not stress enough to save your packaging, media and reception, if you buy software such as this to appeal to the Bank, you bought it and report it to www.microsoft.com/piracy

  If you bought a key, with or without DVD or packaging of EBAY, or any other person or seller and this could be a MSDN key because your key has been blocked you can check a few things yourself, if you have received your key with the physical product go to www.microsoft.com/howtotell and check your product, however some counterfeit software are thus convince you may not be able to identify it as such.

  To check your PID press the key to victory and the pause at the same time, or system opened via the Control Panel, scroll to the activation section and properties related to computing PID will look something like this 12345-067-1234567-54321, the part that you are interested in is the section to three digits, if it corresponds or is included in one or two digits for the examples below You probably have a MSDN key.

  065, 066, 067 for Ultimate, box 220 for Pro and the 230, 231 area of award, there are probably others, but they should be close to those that are displayed

  If you have a similar PID, or your key is blocked and you want the confirmation message, a new thread with a report from the MGADIAG tool, download and run the tool, click on copy and paste it in a new post here and Darin Smith of MS can check your key for you.   I have a computer built house with an AMD Phenom II X 3 Black Edition CPU and an ASUS M4A78T-E motherboard.  I originally had Vista 32 bit Ultimate Win7 installed and running and has purchased and researched and installed the 64 bit version and received a message that the key has been blocked by Microsoft.  I contacted the person I bought the package from and he has verified that the key is good with Microsoft.

  Because of the problems I had with Win7 has decided to install Win XP Pro and take care of some pressing issues I use this computer for work and staff as well.  After taking care of business, I decided to give him another chance, but did not delete my XP Pro problems with Win7.  I used GPart to create another partition on my hard drive and installed Win 7 64 bit on it so that it forms and allocate unallocated space.  I have re-installed Win 7 again with the same error code during activation.

  One thing I read on this forum, is that if you use Vista format the HDD it hold the 'TOUCH' or some software folder in the BIOS and then put back on the hard disk after that he was done and I was wondering if there is a way to get this key removed to use it?

  I tried all the resources that I have and no one has been able to say something but return the software or contact Microsoft.  Help, please! :)  I appreciate your time and your information and await your response.

  Here's the story back in case it helps... I have upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10, had many problems of performance with 10 windows and reinstalled windows 7. After the reinstallation, I tried again to download mozilla firefox and install the browser. When I try to run the installer for firefox I get a message that says: "this publishing house has been blocked to run the software on your machine." The only option is to click on 'OK '. It is impossible to ignore the security warning and proceed with the installation. I had no difficulty to install any other software (IE and Chrome included).
  I tried to start windows in safe mode, but I still get the same caveat. I have administrator privileges when running the installation program. I found other forums dealing with similar problems, but have not found a solution for my specific case yet. I've attached a screenshot of the security warning window, so you can see there is no way to move forward. If I click on the help link on windows, it's not going anywhere.

  Well, I had an "ah-ha" moment and the fix was very simple. Not sure why it escaped me that long, but you can right click on the Setup file, select 'Properties' and on the 'Général' tab, there is a button "Unblock" the file. Yet, after this step, I was not able to run the Setup program. For some unknown reason, my role as an administrator is all messed up, but it is a different matter. To ignore the warnings of the editor blocked after release of the program, you must run the Setup program from the command with administrator privileges prompt. GoTo START-> all programs-> Accessories... right click on "Command prompt" and click "Run as Administrator", click 'Yes' If you get warnings of user account control to run the program. Once the command prompt opens in a new window cd to the directory containing your fireforx installation file and run it. This fixed my issue.
