  I just found out that Microsoft always take £5.99 from my account by using the coordinates of a debit card that was cancelled and replaced by a new card (and the number of car) in April 2011.   I was on a cruise and tried to read my e-mail using the system on board the ship. I have been unable to access my e-mail address because I was asked to provide security. One of them has been my year of birth, in 1937, but the system says that it wasn't the right answer.
