My router blocked a website

I have a router Linksys E2500. It seems to block a website (evernote.com). I can't access this site from any of the computers / devices in our home, they are connected by ethernet or wireless.  However, when I move to another network, I can connect to this site immediately since exactly devices that do not connect in our House.

How can I determine how / if the router blocks this site somehow? I have reset the router and updated the firmware. Same problem persists.  I don't see anything in the router settings that would block this site, and I certainly have nothing intentional in the settings to block this fact. We used to connect to it without any problems, but all of a sudden, we're stuck.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you.

I think that you are not in the right forum with this theme because it has nothing to do with Toshiba laptops.
Anyway, what you can do is to block all Web sites in your router configuration. Router password together and nobody can change anything so you will have full control over the content that should not be visible for your children.

    A few options for you.

    1. Install the add-on to FoxFilter, the disadvantage is that add-ons are fairly easy to get around - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/foxfilter/
    2. An another add-on that can filter content is the ProCon Latte Content Filter - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/procon-latte/
    3. Install a free parental control 3rd party as the K9 web protection - program http://www.k9webprotection.com/
    4. Use the OpenDNS service, there is a free version, and with it, you can filter the content on the categories that you choose - http://www.opendns.com/
  • RV016 router blocks the wireless reception

We cannot access our wireless modem because it blocks the Cisco router.  When I try to access the router through a browser, I get a message that the router blocks access.  HELP!

Hi Jeannette. The RV016 isn't a wireless product. If you are able to connect with a wired connection and browse the internet without problem, the RV016 isn't the cause of the problem for the wireless. The wireless box would be the culprit if your wired connections have no problems.

  • How can I block a website to access my PC

There are sites like "regcleanpro" that cannot be closed or deleted once he had access by other means and is just a dam to bother. Why doesn't Firefox allows me to make a list of Web sites that are not allowed access to my PC and block immediately when they try?

Block site - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/blocksite/ - allows you to block websites to be loaded in Firefox. But the Windows HOSTS file can be used to block Web sites to be loaded by any program on that PC, so it is more effective for preventing malware to access Web sites and loading of these sites in Firefox.

Additional features for Firefox come in the form of modules.

It seems that an add-on popular enough for the blocking of sites is BlockSite

  • Site blocker blocked all websites on the internet

Literally. I downloaded an add-on for Firefox called SiteBlocker and when I went to block a site it blocked all alone accessible Internet site (including the homepage and all search engines). So when I open it, just to give me a blank page and tells me that the site has been blocked. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the browser, but that did nothing. I had to use Microsoft Edge of this post. Also, I don't know how to remove the add-on because I can't even him.

You can start Firefox in Safe Mode where all extensions are disabled and remove it. At least, I hope that you can remove to it installed outside, you may have to use the control panel.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

Then you should be able to access the Add-ons page and remove this thing.

To return to normal, exit Firefox and start it without hold the SHIFT key.

    Success?

  • How to block a website?

Hi, there is a forum that I had a bad experience with and I want to block directly to the outside. I can do this on firefox? Somehow the site not open even if it is clicked on?

    Thanks in advance

There are some extensions of site blocking to protect yourself. For example:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/LeechBlock/

At the system level, you can add fields in the file/etc/hosts to avoid all browsers connect. (It's a bit beyond the scope of this forum, however.)

  • How to block a website from my computer?

I want to ban a porn site to appear as an option when I press the letter 'p' in the address bar. How can I block this specific site to appear?

Follow these steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:

    1. Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
    2. Select an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or the cursor key
do not click with the mouse or press the Enter key
    3. Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + del) to delete the highlighted entry

You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.

You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

  • How to block a website from poping up upward on its own?

I don't know how I got into this, but I'm on a Web site I want to visit, there is this website FREEZE.COM always name pop up on the same page I visit, I have to type BACK to display the page that I need to see, then FREEZE.COM keeps coming back as if it is to hit the BACK button on its own. Sometimes, he goes crazy as if she had to fight with me for the computer, making it me impossible to surf the internet or check your e-mail or do anything.

Update your browser Firefox 9 first

Make a check of malware with some scan of malware programs. You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database prior to scanning.

  • WiFi seems to block certain websites on Satellite A100

I have a Satellite A100 laptop with an Intel pro/wireless 3954ABG card. I connect to a Netgear DG834N modem-router. No problem with the connection, but some sites, including Google, will never connect. I say never, but actually just occasionally, rarely, they connect.

If I connect to the router by cable, no problem at all. The laptop connected to the other routers and found all the sites with no problem.

I tried to enter DNS servers directly on the laptop, but that did not help.

    Any ideas, anyone?

    Hello

    > The laptop was connected to other routers and found all the sites without problem

According to this information, I can't believe that there could be something wrong with the laptop.
Did you check the configuration of the router? I put t you know router configurations but on my router, I can enable and disable the firewall and change many settings for security.
I think you should check it out.

PS: If you can try to update the WLan card driver. For them, visit the Intel Web or Toshiba.
