During music playback, looks like it's a little blurry, but when I play games, some some sounds (like clicking on sounds and sound effects in the game) gets really distorted.   You have a few options as I see it.

  Click Start in the search type Recovery Manager, and then click it once select Yes on user access control, and then select I need immediate help and then select driver & select recovery requires the audio driver and install it and then restart the device.

  Go into Device Manager and uninstall the sound driver and restart and unit automatically installs the driver.

  Try to run the system restore to the date where the unit was working fine.

  Try to update the driver from hp.com for Audio & Bios site.

  Last step is to perform a recovery on the unit before they please back up your data.

  If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP and make arrangements for the speaker replaced.
