  I have friends on Yahoo Messenger with Yahoo Mail. If they have the latest version of messenger, since the most recent update of Firefox that I can't argue with them in a window or tab.   Yes you need a Blackberry data plan to access blackberry application, and if you're going to another country for a visit call your carrier to activate roaming for you

  I just bought a new laptop with Windows 8.  I cannot install Yahoo Messenger 11.5.  I get the following message - "Yahoo! Messenger have not properly installed.  This may have been due to other open applications or installs incomplete. Please try to install again after restarting your computer. »

  The following resolution does not-

  1. Right click on the standalone installer of Yahoo! Messenger, and then select Properties.
  2. Select the compatibility tab.
  3. Check the box for run this program in compatibility mode.
  4. Click the menu drop down and select Windows XP Service Pack 2.
  5. Check the box for run as administrator.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Double-click the Messenger standalone installer to run it.

  Giving up Yahoo, they went to the dogs. Download a program called Trillian.  Then, you can have yahoo Messenger on your Windows 8 and have much more stable program. The link is www.trillian.im and you can have any other chat clients there as well.
