  I rang just up with Toshiba, I asked for a price for a 2nd battery for my laptop, they told to 150EUR.
  They also said that am 4200mAh battery, as nothing is written on this subject, it is impossible to verify.

  The fact is, I found a battery to 40EUR on internet, compatible with my laptop according to the site, but given to 4400mAh, not 4200mAh.

  Then, I recalled the store who sold me the laptop (DARTY), nothing found on the Toshiba 400-page notice, but, the website of "LA FNAC" announced for my laptop a 4400mAh, not 4200mAh.

  Question: anyone of you bought a 2nd battery for this L670-1KZ which is not a Toshiba original one?

  Remove the old battery. At the bottom of the stack, you will find the label containing the part number and other details.
  You can use the battery part number (search in internet for some online resellers) to get a new battery.

  I suppose a battery of 6 cells PA3817U-1BRS will be compatible.

  Unfortunately, I couldn't find any other compatible battery so I highly recommend you to use the original battery.

  What you can possibly check is compatible batteries for C650D:
  PA3787U-1BRS
  PA3817U-1BRS
  PA3818U-1BRS
  PA3820U-1BRS

  Google around a bit and see if you can use them with your C650. At least, you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can help you with this.

  I'm trying to find a replacement battery for Satellite Pro A10, PA3284U-1BRS, 10.8 v original battery, 3600 MAH. A couple of merchants said that it is no longer available and has been replaced by PA3285U-1BRS, the amperage is a little higher at 4400 MAH, but declared voltage is now 11.1 VOLTS.   I agree with BobRock_1. All the drivers and tools that you can find on the official website of Toshiba. Your model is compatible with Windows XP. :-)

  But before starting with the installation of the drivers, I recommend the installation of Service Pack 3 for XP. It contains many security updates and also two patches for the sound card you need. Otherwise, you are not able to install audio driver properly.

  You can download SP3 from Microsoft's official website. The installation is no problem, everything is done automatically. :)
