  I was installing EBS R12 on RHEL 4.6 successfully.
  We now have a new client with requirement EBS R12 on OEL 5.4
  And this is my first time to manage OEL 64bits.
  I managed to install the software. I can start the web login page, and I can connect to Oracle applications.
  But when I tried to click on the menu that launch forms (e.g. system administrator > Security > user > set)
  I got the error:

  FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration. 
  Please look into the web-server log file for details.

• EBS R12.1 login page cannot display - after installation

  I installed Oracle EBS R12.1 with multi node installation

  Host system: Windows 7

  VMPlaer:

  System1 comments: Database 64 bit OS Oracle Linux 6.7 Vision node

  System2 comments: OS Oracle Linux 64 bit Apps Tier 6.7

  EBS Application installed successfully, and I can see both are rising and running, I can see the login page (no forms) in DB and Apps nodes. And I can connect to the database of customer of db host system, but not able to open the login page to the host system. I checked the version of java and every thing looks fine at the host system, I can open it with other EBS on all issues.

  Based on Metalink notes:

  Solution1: Auto config ran level apps and does not - and file DBC looks good - no problem on the automatic configuration

  Option2: Recompiled from $FND_TOP/patch/115/bin - no JSP compiler error

  My conclusions from host system:

  Apps URL: http://192.168.64.130:8000/OA_HTML/AppsLogin

  When I am trying to open in Internet Explorer:

  This page cannot be displayed

  •Assurez - you have the web address http://192.168.64.130:8000 is correct.

  • Look for the page with your search engine.

  •Refresh page in a few minutes.

  When I am trying to open in Mozila:

  URL changed - which means that he is in communication with the server, something stops

  I'm not sure what could be the problem. Please guide me to solve this problem. Any help will be be appreciated.

  I'm confused with the new forms launched used in EBS R12.1 :(
  It differs from the EBS R12.0.4 when you launch it. And of course far from 11i
  What do you call this form now? Is - this gui form? Web form? HTML form? form of Java? etc.
  There same executable .fmx in $APPL_TOP? I can open it with the form 10g developers?
  
  Our consultant said it serves to 11i and now does MD50 for custom report and give to this
  for developer reports to make the program. Her problem is that she cannot identify the columns and
  tables associated with the form, so she comes to give us the "navigation" to the forms to see the columns online.
  She also said that in 11i, she just use ' row who? for the columns and tables associated with shapes.
  
  The part very hard, which makes custom in EBS reports is how to get the tables behind forms, because most of the time you get a 'view' with the misleading values and columns.
  
  My question is, what is the counterpart of this 'line that' in 11i for EBS R12.1?
  Or how you map columns to the forms at the tables?
  
  In your experience how your consultants functional make a MD50? She is the one to identify the
  the tables and columns? or it is the responsibility of the developer.

  I just installed EBS R12 (12.0.4) 64-bit on OEL 5.4 64-bit, for our new client.
  
  The installation was successful in general, but as usual I struck with this error "Page cannot be displayed" and the ie browser client-side.
  
  I can start and stop the DbTier with State '0 '.
  
  I can start and stop of the AppsTier with the status '0' (well, it shows that overall status at the end, but I see an error with 'SST')

  Is it allowed to apply after installation? But the statement is "before".

  Apply the patches pre - req. and see if this solves the problem. If this isn't the case, you may need to apply the main fix once again this patch is applied.

  It will buy internet bandwidth for these 100 concurrent users.

  How many total bandwidth they purchase? Is there enough 50 Mbps?

  The design of networks can be determined on a fly. We understand from different locations, how the application will be accessible.  As much as I know there no specific reference available to calculate the bandwidth of NW. The only option that we can do is to perform a load test on the network before GO Live.

  In my experience if all 100 concurrent users accessing applications on the same site, then 50 Mbps should be fair enough.

  I installed Oracle Database 11 g 1 material in BONES 'Oracle Linux 5 '.
  
  The middle tier includes Instance home, concurrent processing server, Apache Server, journal of the Forms Server and report server log.
  
  The client tier includes the HTTP Web server and applications Technology Stack (Native Sun JRE).
  
  I'm not sure if you need to install all the files of middle-tier or client tier.

  I installed Oracle Database 11 g 1 material in BONES 'Oracle Linux 5 '.

  You don't need to install the database separately as quick installation will install the database for you and then install the application tier node files (Web forms, CM... etc).

  The client tier includes the HTTP Web server and applications Technology Stack (Native Sun JRE).

  The client tier includes Sun JRE and you don't have to install them separately. The first time you access any customer application it will prompt to install the Sun JRE from the server.

  I'm not sure if you need to install all the files of middle-tier or client tier.
