I can install it on OEL 5.2?
They said OEL and RHEL are the same basic linux.

    An Oracle Consultant installed the VISION instance to Assistant Rapid aid for our demonstration tests.

    After that, I was task to install the instance of CRP to help Assistant Rapid to start at our facility to the CRP/test.

    To my dismay, some functional test gets the error in CRP but runs well in the VISION.

    I think I have missed a few major patches or applied the wrong patch when installing apps?

    How can I check which patch is missing or poorly implemented, by comparing the two instance?

    In comparison, there are ins invalid objects CRP which is VISION valid example is the package APPS. IBY_VALIDATIONSETS_PUB

    The cause is the incompatible table IBY_DOCS_PAYABLE_VAL_GT of the CRP and the Vision which have different structures. There are some missing columns in CRP:

    INT_BANK_BRANCH_TYPE
    EXT_BANK_BRANCH_TYPE

    Please help how to find the patch that will fix these inconsistencies of table.

    I don't know how to continue without instruction, like another note asking to apply this hotfix. I would try to apply the fix in normal mode (when I have no time constraints)

    I finished download EBS R12.1.1 of e - delivery.com and it took me 3 days to make :(
    Now I am transferring to our linux server and start "decompressing".
    But there is a warning on the screen as:

    is it possible that these can be installed in linux console and without loogin directly in the browser and download... ???

    The hostname in the listener.ora file and (many other files) need to be updated - how to change hostname for E-Business Suite Release 12 on single node [1277556.1 ID]

    Since it is a new installation, I suggest you clean your system and start a new and then use the correct (hostname, domain name).

  • Oracle HRMS (EBS R12.1.3) - placeholder for the rooms/labs and meeting phone numbers

    I'm looking for a placeholder in the human resources base to store meeting rooms / laboratories / details (name, number of phone & extensions) of the training room.

    I am using the screen of the organisation (Structures of work-> organization-> Description). Here we define the classification of the Organization as "Training Center", I only get a field to store telephone numbers. I know that we can have the phone number attached to the structure of localization work.

    As we have many laboratories and rooms meeting/training in the same place, I don't think this is a good option to create multiple sites for the sake of phone numbers.

    We have sown flexfield descriptive "Org Developer DF" used to define the Types of information organization. As a seedling, I'm not touch to activate the additional fields.

    Could someone please advice what should be the best approach I should follow to add the meeting rooms / laboratories / HR Core training room details. Please let me know if I'm not clear or need additional details.

    Could define a location Extra Info structure (multiple lines)? Any org would then one place for his main address, but which could in turn have several entries in location additional Info to save details etc at this point in the meeting room.

    No, it is not possible, the clone requirement is the source and target must be compatible to the binary format.

  • Printing reports in EBS R12

    OS Linux RHEL 4.6

    Our EBS R12 worked without problem for months. Today users have complained that they are unable to print all reports.
    Previously, when this happens, I just restart managers simultaneously and power off, they go again. Or I have to restart all processes at the level of the Apps and DB level because they can afford to wait 5 minutes. Or worse the solution is to restart the server itself. Be that as it may, the problem has been resolved before.
    But today, I have tried all of these procedures, but still reports do not print.

    No idea how hard to pull of this problem? Thank you very much.

    I downloaded the pack of 3 journalists Oracle Enterprise Linux version 6 update of edelivery.com and installed Oracle Linux on Vmware preinstalled.
    Now, I want to know what all the patches, the packaging and the RPM is necessary as a prerequisite before proceeding with the installation of R12.
    How to check if they are already present and how to install them.
    I have referred to the oracle notes but tangled in what points to be followed and that jump.

    Please guide.

  • installation of Split for EBS R12

    Hi all


    I want to have a split for EBS configuration. Say that I have 2 servers and I'll use 1 for the DB and the other for applications.
    Although I have not yet tried, because we have only 1 test server to exercise the profession.
    My question is... is my understanding correct? To install a split of EBS configuration.

    1. I need to run RAPIDWIZ on the machine 1 (server) and install the DB layer. and
    2. run RAPIDWIZ on the 2nd machine and install the layer Apps.

    Quick installation can a stack of technology new installation for the database layer (Oracle10g R2) or Applications (Oracle Application Server 10g) node in a system existing. To access the flow of screen quick installation for installation of technology stack, use the parameter - techstack when you start a fast installation. You will be asked for when you want to perform the following operations:

    -Upgrade the database
    -Install the new technology for the database layer or the applications node stack
    -Migrate from one platform to another

    You can still use "rapidwiz - techstack" to create the ORACLE_HOME RDBMS on the target machine and then migrate the database.

    Did someone here used AQ in your EBS R12?

    We have EBS R12 of installation and a separate mini inventory made in APEX on server of Oracle 10 g XE system.

    Both systems interacts with others, each data send/receive on both sides.

    What will be the best solution for this type of installation? AQ is a good option?
    Can you give me the notes metalink on how to set up QA on EBS?
    Or simply create dblinks and do some concurrent programs that send/receive/process data.

  • Not to display the page in EBS R12 64 bits - OEL 5.4 64-bit

    I just installed EBS R12 (12.0.4) 64-bit on OEL 5.4 64-bit, for our new client.

    The installation was successful in general, but as usual I struck with this error "Page cannot be displayed" and the ie browser client-side.

    I can start and stop the DbTier with State '0 '.

    I can start and stop of the AppsTier with the status '0' (well, it shows that overall status at the end, but I see an error with 'SST')

    Is it allowed to apply after installation? But the statement is "before".

    Apply the patches pre - req. and see if this solves the problem. If this isn't the case, you may need to apply the main fix once again this patch is applied.

    Hi hussein.

    I have a laptop with 4 GB of Ram and win7 OS.
    I installed virtual pc 2007. I plan to install EBS R12 on linux rhel 4.6 so...
    I tried to install Linux RHEL 4.6 using the regular CD Installer but when I finish the login screen resolution
    is not correct, I see big colored bars and text are so great. How do fix you it?
    I have my Installer is not compatible with virtual pc 2007? are there different linux version made for the virtual pc?
    Can you help me find docs who have successfully installed EBS on virtual pc?
    Ubuntu linux is also supported by EBS R12? I see some install sample, but I'm not sure if it is regular/normal
    Ubuntu or is it special for virtual pc only as Installer 'XP Mode', which is not really the cd XP Moussa

    I prefer Linux installation (esp if you install on OEL). Installation of Windows is easy if you have all the software of pre - req. OS in hand (MKS, VC ++... etc). For installation problems, I would say he's even on the two BONES.
