I am manually convert the Eps files about 350 per day.

Any help!

Kind regards

You can do this in the user interface by selecting the text and using Type > change case > sentence case. It seems you can do the same thing using the following.

TextRange.changeCaseTo (type: CaseChangeType.SENTENCECASE)

• Script to remove all the images, text blocks, and the page numbers on a layer

I have a 364 pages with 322 illustrations, photographs mainly, for offset printing.

The photographs will be be overprinted with the varnish on a plate in the fifth, and I set it up as follows:

On a new layer, (double layer 1) all photos are removed, but not their mounts.

The frames are then filled with 100% black.

All text blocks and page numbers must also be deleted.

I realize I could have done this job easier if I put all the images on their own layer first, but unfortunately I do not have.

And I don't do myself, script, so I was wondering if anyone has a script that will do...

With the help of CC 2015.1 on Windows 7.

Today, I don't have time to finish, which gave time to until now is the following:

• Text block path-> the text along the path of the resulting stream

I am trying to create a text effect in small characters following the outline of the text very large block "BOLD" (see photo). The idea I had was to create the 'ME' in very large print text. Then convert this text in object / path using "object-> flatten transparency...->"convert all text to describe. Then, select this path and use the type tool ' along the way '. However, when I use this process, the way that results is a path that does not work, that is why the long path Type tool. Guidance on how to achieve this? The picture below I just used a pencil to draw the letters (quick and dirty) but the result is choppy, etc..

• How to convert several text boxes to the checkboxes

Nice day

in the last months, we are working on Adobe Acrobat DC and we have the following problem when we create pdf forms.

It is quite common for us to convert a Word format in PDF form. Then, we select 'Prepare form' in Adobe DC to insert/change/remove the created fields (text boxes, check boxes, etc.). During this conversion, there are fields that must be boxes instead of text boxes. In order to proceed, we all have remove them and then re-create them which takes a lot of time.

Is there a feature that allows you to select several fields and move them from one type to another (for example, convert all text in checkboxes areas)?

Concerning

-C' is not correct. You can select specific fields to convert from a list or based on their name, the field type and the page.

-Yes, it is compatible with all versions of Acrobat (probably not until version 7, though).

-The rest exactly the same size.

I need to convert PDF to Excel, however, the columns and tabs make many merged cells and the number of columns empty. In addition to not separate the columns properly, I see many not separate lines together in the same cell. I even think that Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has limits. There is no way to set what points in columns to force the column break? Or create several columns that are unnecessary? How column in Excel, size fixed when import us text and define where breaks have columns of text?

PDF does not contain columns, lines, formats, styles or other aspects of word processing or spreadsheet file formats.

This is because the PDF is decidedly not a file format of word processor or a spreadsheet or something 'like' one of these.

(see ISO 32000 for what PDF "is")

Which allows to optimize the export of the content of a page PDF is to start with that tag well formed PDF (ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1).

Without that export is what it is and we performs the cleanup of any necessary content using the native application for the export of files (MS Word or Excel).

Is there a way to select all text objects containing the specified character?

For example,.

My work consists of points and numbers.

Points are separated into blocks of text, so are numbers.

Or numbers and group together them.

Yes,

-loop through all the elements of text

-get each content

-compare to '. '.

-If the matching, save a reference to that block of text

-When does with all frames

-loop through all stored references and move to a group

• How to copy all text blocks in a converted Word file (PDF TO WORD conversion)

We've scanned a book in English quite a some time ago. Now we have converted into a Word Document.

We try to copy all of the text and the re - format and save it as Word/PDF

The problem is that we cannot copy the entire document because there the text in different blocks.

It is very difficult to select each box and place in a word document or Notepad.

Could you please tell me how to select the entire document or entire blocks with unique stretching or an easy way to do it?

"Digitized" - who tells the story.

The output of all the scanners is a picture, a photo if you want, the paper source.

Photos of the text are not the 'text' himself, and there is therefore no 'text' to copy (not to mention paste).

For PDF files that maintain the image of the text which is at the exit of a scanner, you can open the PDF with Acrobat.

Now use the Acrobat rock.

Suggestion: Use Acrobat ClearScan. It is more "user friendly" to make alterations to the characters / words.

Export to Word (use Acrobat Pro or one of the subscription services Adobe - ExportPDF or PDF Pack online).

DO not expect to do cleaning in the Word file.

Whenever the source is a scanner output you have pig ears & you can't do a bag hand silk one.

• change the color of text blocks only the active layer

Well my script to change the color of the text frame changes the color of all the blocks of text hidden or not.

I need to change only the visible text blocks.

If (app.documents.length > 0) {}

newCMYKColor = new CMYKColor();

newCMYKColor.black = 0;

newCMYKColor.cyan = 0;

newCMYKColor.magenta = 0;

newCMYKColor.yellow = 0;

for (i = 0; i < app.activeDocument.textFrames.length; i ++) {}

textArtRange = app.activeDocument.textFrames [i] .textRange;

textArtRange.characterAttributes.fillColor = newCMYKColor;

}

}

Any ideas on how the way only change the color of the text on the active layer blocks? In the final script I want to hide all other layers so if it could be done by a visible attribute more easily that would work just as well.

Thank you

Duane Leach

Hello

It will work for you? Have not tested much beyond text blocks in groups and those who are just stand-alone on the layer.

If (app.documents.length > 0) {}

var thisDoc = app.activeDocument;

newCMYKColor = new CMYKColor();

newCMYKColor.black = 00;

newCMYKColor.cyan = 40;

newCMYKColor.magenta = 50;

newCMYKColor.yellow = 50;

Need to retrieve blocks of text within the groups on the layer.

var artSel = thisDoc.activeLayer.groupItems;

for (i = 0; i<>

If (artSel [i] .hidden == false) {}

var text = .textFrames artSel [i];

for (j = 0; j<>

text [j].textRange.characterAttributes.fillColor = newCMYKColor;

}

}

End to change the rest of the outside groups text boxes.

var textArtRange = app.activeDocument.activeLayer.textFrames;

for (k = 0; k<>

If (textArtRange [k] .hidden is false)

textArtRange [k].textRange.characterAttributes.fillColor = newCMYKColor

}

• Convert a text marked in the notes in...

With this script, convert us referenced text at the bottom of page, but we lose the character styles.

http://www.Indiscripts.com/post/2010/04/refoot-convert-markup-text-into-InDesign-footnotes

We can keep them?

Thank you

The problem is this script by Marc manipulates the text through 'content', which is a simple JavaScript string unformatted. You can change that using the native function of text InDesign 'move' - replace the internal reference with this function:

while( fnFind=fnFinds.pop() )
{
fnParent = fnFind.parent.getElements()[0];
ip = fnFind.insertionPoints[0].index;
try {
fn = fnParent.footnotes.add(LocationOptions.BEFORE, fnParent.insertionPoints[ip]);
fnFind.move (LocationOptions.AT_END, fn.texts[0]);
++count;
}
catch(_){}
}

... but it (obviously!) copy the tags as well. Get rid of them is not that simple in a script *-maybe it's just more easy to do a search/replace separate thereafter, to eliminate.

* It is when the reference markers are set texts, but not with the current construction, which allows various different markers.
