Needing a certain font

Novice question... Is - this kosher to ask a certain font to send to me if it must really be bought?

Anyone ever commercial fonts or email to others?

No, it's not kosher.

  • Need help to use a certain font!

    I tried to create a certain font in Adobe Premiere Pro without success. The police is essentially a rectangular white text with letters transparent inside box. However, it seems that the program is not the ability to "fill color" the text box containing the transparent letters. Does anyone know how to do this? (It would help if another program could do, such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, if Adobe Premiere impossible.) Than you!

  • I created a PDF editable using Adobe Indesign. When I open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro ms, is there a way to specify a font style? Or is it possible in InDesign to make sure that when someone types in this text field is a certain font?

    I need to make sure that the entered text is a certain font to keep continuity with the rest of the document. Thank you!

    To make form editing mode, select 'Prepare form' in the right pane. You will then get a toolbar at the top which contains various tools that focus on the form. The first thing to do is to add a temporary button. You will use this to determine the name of the font to use with the script but also to place the script that will change the properties of the font of text fields. Thus, create a button anywhere and double-click on it to bring up the field properties dialog in the Actions tab, add a JavaScript action to the mouse event to the top which is:

    // Mouse Up script for temporary button
    app.alert(event.target.textFont);

    On the appearance tab, select the font you want to use for the text fields. Once you have done this, close the form editing mode and click the button. It displays a popup that lists the name of the font. This may be different from the name that appears in the drop-down list on the appearance tab, so write down it. For example, when I chose "Minion Pro" in the menu dropdown, popup showed "MinionPro-Regular.

    The next step is to replace this script of mouse upwards by the following text:

    // Mouse Up script for temporary button

    // Change the font and font size for all text field in this document
    for (var i = 0; i < numFields; i++) {

        var f = getField(getNthFieldName(i));

        if (f.type === "text") {
            f.textFont = "MinionPro-Regular";
            f.textSize = 9;
        }

    }

    Replace "MinionPro-Regular" by the name of the font that you wrote before, and set the font size to whatever you want. Use 0 to specify a font size of 'Auto '.

    This script will change the font of all the text fields to whatever you specify. When you have verified that text fields are implemented as you want, you can go ahead and delete or hide the button. If you think you'll do a lot of forms of work, you can create customized in Acrobat tools to speed up this process, but this should help you get started. InDesign does not allow you to specify a large number of field and action properties, so you must work this way, and using scripts to automate is an accessible way to significantly speed up the process and avoid mistakes.

He is listed as the system font. ??? Help, please.

    If the police will not be on the end user's computer, it won't make a difference.

    You should try to include a web font, but you cannot use those during the creation of course, so when you publish or correct fonts you have alignment issues.

  • appliedFont works does not for a certain font

    Hi all

    a small but strange problem here. that exists with a certain font. a shortened version of the script (with respect to the discussion) is here. It runs through paragraph styles looking for certain values and change them:

    Else if (appliedFont.fontFamily == 'Myriad Pro') {}
    appliedFont = "Yakut Linotype";
    If (fontStyle == 'Ordinary') {}
    fontStyle = "Light" ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == 'Semicondensed') {}
    fontStyle = "Light" ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == 'Semicondensed italic') {}
    fontStyle = "light";
    tilt = - 15 ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == "Italic") {}
    fontStyle = "light";
    tilt = - 15 ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == "Semibold") {}
    fontStyle = "Bold" ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == 'Medium Semicondensed') {}
    / fontStyle = "Bold" ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == 'Semibold Semicondensed italic') {}
    fontStyle = "Bold";
    tilt = - 15 ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == "Semibold Italic") {}
    fontStyle = "Bold";
    tilt = - 15 ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == "Bold") {}
    fontStyle = "Bold" ;}
    ElseIf (fontStyle == "Bold Italic") {}
    fontStyle = "Bold";
    tilt = - 15 ;}

    With it, I get the error the system cannot find the font I want. It even will not work in this case:

    App.Selection [0] .appliedFont = "Yakut Linotype";

    HOWEVER, if I select a text element and change this piece of text to Yakut Linotype using indesigns GUI and THEN run the script, the script works without a flaw.

    Anyone know why a police must be present in a document for the script to call on her. Or why this doesn't seem to be the case with other fonts, Linotype ONLY Yakut. Thank you!

    Edit: 'Yakut Linotype' is the fontFamily, Ive tried to use fullName and fullNameNative.

    I'm guessing: "Yakut Linotype regular" exists as a font style? Otherwise, it's the problem - you try to change the Myriad Pro "Myriad Pro Regular" of Yakut, but there is no 'ordinary', and at that point, the script fails. You can change both the font and the font in one style only once using "Yakut Linotype\tLight" as argument for appliedFont - with a [Tab] between family name and font style.

  • Search the text in a certain font?

    I sometimes underline with italic, ID, that means that I select the word and select the italic version of the font. Or at least, that is what I did several times in the past. But these days, I have a character style that defines the style of the oblique character. I know, I left one or two instances in the text where I chose a different font and in one case even accidentally the italic version of a bad policy.

    Is there a way I can find (all) text in a specific font?

    Sure. Use the text to search for.

    (You might have to press the button more Options, for the first time, to get the search box formatted).

    Then in the toolbar

    Select the Brush tool

    Select a fill color

    then click on carefully on the transparent areas that you want to turn it into a shape and therefore color

  • Need to change the font color

    Hi all

    I am a beginner to acrobat scripting.

    My requirement is I need to find more than 12 font size and change the color to black. Do not know how to start my coding.

    Help, please.

    Kind regards

    K

    As already explained, you do not have access within a JavaScript script text colors, there is also no action that you can apply. The only way to achieve this is through the plugin API. You can create your own plugin, but I would advice against this because there are plug-ins available that perform this type of changes. One I know is the tool control upstream Enfocus PitStop Pro (unfortunately, this feature never rests not in the tool controls upstream of the Acrobat). You can create a PitStop preflight profile that changes the color of the text in a certain font size. PitStop is not cheap, but it is certainly cheaper than building your own tool.

  • need to get the font frutiger

    Hello

    I am trying to edit a PDF document in Acrobat Pro XI and the other font is frutiger. However, I have not frutiger in my selections of fonts. So my problem is that I can't add or edit text in the same font as the original text, and it ends up looking bad. Obviously, he knows what frutiger text is because it is able to view, but I don't know where he is. It could be a folder on my hard drive other than the default fonts (C:\Windows\Fonts) folder, or it could be integrated in the file itself. I'm not sure.

    In any case, I need the same font frutiger to be placed at my disposal in the police drop. How can I get this font? Can I download it? Is there a folder, it is likely that she? Is there a way to extract the file itself?

    Thanks for any future help.

    The PostScript name on the properties of the PDF dialogue box will show what foundry he comes (for example, FrutigerLT is the original edition of Adobe/Linotype, FrutigerLTPro are in the Pro Group)

  • Download new fonts

    Hi, I'm not completely computer illiterate, but I'm not great at it by all means.  But I can follow specific instructions, Ha.  I just wanted everyone know that up front.

    Hoping someone can help.  For some reason, my new fonts, I tried to install on my Windows Vista computer started trying to open it with Photoshop instead of Windows Font Viewer.  When I would go to right click and install after extracting, I would notice the icon of the file showed "PS" instead of "O" or the "TT" that used to be there.  Then he would say he could not be opened in Photoshop.  SO I tried google search and fix it on my own.  I have somehow, it made to where I can't even pull up files.  When I click on the zip file below to open them, they try to open the Windows Photo Gallery!  I can't yet see.

    So, I did the Panel-> programs-> default programs-> associate a file type or Protocol with a program and I changed all the FTT and Open Type fonts will automatically open with Windows Font Viewer.  But when I went back to try to install another font, he always tries to open with Windows Photo Gallery.

    I hope someone can help me.  I use this computer for work and am having need of a certain font to download to a client.

    Thank you

  • Calibri fonts missing on the new iMac

    Hi all, thanks for your support.

    I'm an amateur edition of a newsletter of club with InDesign (Creative Cloud 2015). It's a very simple four-page document that I export to PDF and send it to a small local printer. I inherited the previous editor three years InDesign file; I simply copy the file and void content each month. The file has always used Calibri and time of fonts.

    Today, I started my first edition of the newsletter with a new iMac (OS 10.11). Uh-oh: the entire text of Calibri is highlighted pink.

    I'm not at all a design pro, and I don't know how to work the fonts.

    Other factors:

    • I had my old iMac, Office: Mac 2008.
    • I don't feel strongly want you with Calibri, if there is an easy way to move on.
    • I see Typekit in 2015 of CC app. He can help me?

    Can you give me simple steps to activate certain font without serifs in this file, so I can spend?

    Thank you!

    Sylvia

    Very easy, actually. In the Type menu, select search for a police... Highlight Calibri in the list and choose replace from the list below. Check the box "Redefine Style when changing all", too. Click on change all. You may need to perform some replacement operations, replacement of each style or weight of Calibri with Museo (Calibri italic, bold, etc.).

  • Help with embedded fonts

    Hello-

    I use FlashEFF for some text effects in our online advertising banners.  I have five embedded fonts.  Now the problem is that the file size is huge because of the embedded fonts.

    Is it true that if a user doesn't have this font on their computer they will see a default font?

    I use the following fonts:

    Helvetica Neue: 65, 77 Bold Condensed, 95 Black medium

    and

    Futura LT:  "BOLD" and book

    Thank you for any advice on that.

    When you embed a font, you can only embed certain characters

    Select the textfield (dynamic or input) press the 'Embed' deselect all "ranges of characters" and type the characters to use in the section also "include these characters.

    If you use a static text, you don t need to incorporate fonts, everyone see your fonts with static text.
