New back button and reload buttons
That happened with the "back" button and the button reload.
The "back" button and the next button used to have a little low if clicked would display previously cached pages. Why I don't see this more. I can't find any where to install it.
The button reload and stop button are now moved to the right of the page and I want to bring it back to the left. Is it possible to do this?
I am running Firefox 4.0.1
Drop-front/rear marker
The drop-down list marker was removed from the Back/Forward button in Firefox 4.
You can do one of the following:
- Click the previous/next button to display the drop-down list
- While on the front/rear button, HOLD down the mouse left click pressed until the drop-down list is displayed
- install this module to add the marker drop-down list on the previous/next button: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/
Stop/Reload buttons
Firefox 4.0 has a Go/Reload/Stop combined button that is placed at the right end of the address bar.
- During the process of loading page it shows as a stop button and once the charging button is replaced by a reload button. If you type in the address bar this button would then become a button go.
- You can middle click on this button to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.
- In Firefox 4.0, you can move the Stop/Reload button out of the address bar and put them where you want on the toolbar. You can also make it appear as separate buttons on the toolbar.
- Open the window to customize the toolbars to move them out of the address bar.
- Click the Firefox button > Options > toolbars
- If you use the Menu bar: click on view > toolbars > customize
- Swap the two buttons or move them to their previous position to the left of the address bar.
- If the order is 'Reload - Stop' to get a combined "Stop/Reload" button.
- Switch the order to 'Stop - Reload' or separate them otherwise to get two separate buttons.
- Open the window to customize the toolbars to move them out of the address bar.

Since the 24 FF and also in the 25 & 26 it keeps losing the customization of controls after new impetus or updates.
I always do this: 'Customizing the navigation like back, home, bookmarks, & reload buttons' - http://mzl.la/LqHj2n.
When I updated from 23-24/25/26 or have a crash FF in one of these versions, the customization is default return. I do not have to repeat this every time!

Simple as that. Because I have OCD, it is extremely unpleasant to have both forward and back buttons is not always visible. How can I return to this appearance?
I also want to separate the button reload of the address bar, as I had before the update. I'm reloading of pages often enough and have the button smaller and in the address bar, it's... a little counterintuitive.
Ideally I would have ordered it, from left to right: back, forward, reload, address bar.
Firefox has always been very friendly and very customizable. A few hiccups here and there, well sure, but you can usually get what you want to do, one way or another. So can you guys help out me? It drives me crazy. I installed classic restaurant theme, and it does not change that I can't do now.
The classic theme restaurant has a very rich set of features and options can be difficult to find. I think that those you want is in all of the check boxes under 'UI General"as shown in the screen shot on the site of modules:
Note that 'Mobile back-forward button' is on, and "Combines stop & reload" is disabled. It works for you?

Security was last updated stole my back button and my 'new window '.
I am unable to return a page because the back button which was in the upper right is no longer there. I have to close completely to go back one page. I have a place called 'New window', but the region where, for years, I typed in a URL is gone and it is impossible to type anything without going to "Open location" that works but, of course, I still can not go back.
Make sure the toolbars like the toolbar 'Navigation' and the 'personal bar' are visible: "view > toolbars".
- Is he missing elements then open the window customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Options of > Firefox > toolbars" (Windows)
- If a missing element is located in the toolbar palette and then bring her back in the window customize the toolbar
- If you don't see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette, then click on the "Restore default" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

The 'New tab' button at the end of the tab bar disappeared and I don't know how to bring it back.

With the Firefox 4 RC, the 'open in a new tab' and the 'open in a new window' - buttons have changed places. This is quite annoying because I normally do without looking, but now it always opens in a new window instead of a new tab. Is it possible to restore it? Perhaps in your own settings?
You can use the menu editor extension to reorganize menu items - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/menu-editor

When I click on the "back" button or the scroll bar with my mouse, I get a popup asking if I want to customize my toolbar back/reload/open (scrolling) or in a new window? I'm then cannot clear the pop-up window. How can I remove/fix this very annoying problem. I spend a lot of time trying to remove these popups and they keep recurring. No fix for that. I can't seem to find one in the preferences, and I'm starting to hate this OS because of this. Help!

Suddenly, I have no back button and an additional toolbar
When I came this morning and open Firefox 4.0b.11 seems to have a rather strange set up. I've got the normal top blue bar that I normally see on all applications in windows, with the Red Cross, minimize, maximize. Then below, I see the blue bar that I show on my netbook, which has the ED x, minimize, maximize and then an omni-menu orange. Under that, I have the file menu.
I would like to make the blue bar in the Middle, with the omni-menu orange go away.
I also lost all followed with my back button. There's just the gray and I cannot go back to her, or right-click.
- edit: my panorama is a mess too. It is to turn off all windows in space by themselves, duplication of containers without any function (boxes of Plains that behave as if they aren't there). My windows appear black rather than with glimpses, when I open new tab in panorama, they don't show up, and he shows me the latest panorama series, I was, until I have to manually go in and open a new tab in the browser window, then it jumps me in the other set of panorama, and the tab I opened in panorama is there after that.
- edit: my large windows are some tabs, but when I enter in a tab, the actual tabs that are displayed on my tab bar do not match.
- edit: I have no reloading either button or click right-reload and the URL bar does not appear the right URL when I switch tabs.
I can reload the tabs by right-clicking on them yet.
Sorry, I have to switch him back to FF3.6 for the day; I am a web developer and a lack of the button refresh kills productivity.

The back button did not work correctly for perhaps a month. I have finally addressed the problem but have no solution. Updated for Firefox 43.0, turned off all my Add-ons back to header by default, then also ran the refreshment of deleted my Add-ons. This problem occurs on many web sites. I'll click on Rawstory.com (for example), and then click an article and start viewing. While the page does not appear to charge that I read, I noticed that the small icon in the tab of Rawstory winks (as if reloading the page). This happens over and over again. Now I know to pull down the window under the left arrow to see what happened. The last page I read ended show 9 times under the arrow to the left, even if all I did was click top once and read the article. I wondered if my click on the scroll bar to read to the bottom of the article is somehow cause this problem (same for the use of my fingers on the touchpad). Thanks for your help.

Distorted icons and buttons especially the new tab button
Certain keys, such as the new tab button are distorted. It was the series of changes after what I noticed this (initially I was using firefox 41 on system from 21 to 64-bit fedora with XFCE desktop environment):
-Upgrade fedora at 22
-Installed LXDE desktop (with XFCE)
-Theme installed atolm (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Atolm?content=136789). Just extract the contents of the archive in ~/.themes
-past to this theme
-used the rodent icon theme (XFCE)
Up to this point, that I had not opened firefox and so I do not know when this problem occurred. I decided to remove LXDE and switch back to XFCE. I thought that this distortion of the icons happened probably because of an incompatible Openbox desktop configuration. This problem persists in the XFCE desktop environment too. I tried changing themes to see if a bug with the theme is causing these things, but remained it. I reinstalled firefox but the problem still persists. There is no option in the Customize menu to solve this problem. In addition, firefox menus do not use the gtk theme.
I have updated my firefox in another system and installed fedora-21 the same theme gtk and this one is very good. The menus are in accordance with the gtk-theme and the icons are not distorted.
@cor-el
I tried with the theme by default too. Did not work. I changed the icon theme and rebooted. The distorted icons disappeared!
This seems to be a problem with the rodent icon theme.

In the row of tabs along the top of the screen, there was an additional tab with a + in what you clicked to open a new tab at the far right of the tabs. As the tabs still float to the left and new tabs appear on the right, it was (in my opinion), the most logical place for it. However, the only two places I am able to put this "tab" are now on the far left, which is illogical, because the new tab appears on the right, or in the toolbar and other tools. It's enough, but I'd rather see the 'new tab' tab back where she was.
Moreover, the option to put it on the right end of the Ribbon tab did not work up to this latest version of Firefox, but I'm sure you know this!
Open the view to customize and use the default for "Open a new tab" button back where it belongs.

How can I move the button reload of the page in firefox OSX for next to the back button where it was before I updated.
I know there is an addon for windows Classic theme, but I need a fix for osx... its very frustrating when you update and things like this change and can be customized to the way we are used to using the browser. his counter intuitive to have the page button refresh so far from the back and home buttons.never mind, I found the preferences in the addon manager... Thanks again!

I can't find "back" button or remove the tabs in the new view of firefox.
Today, out of the blue, Firefox seems different. The main problems are that I can't find the back button and I can't understand how to remove tabs. Can I get my old Firefox back, or am I missing something on the new Firefox?

I think I'm on Firefox 13.0. He put itself as part of the update of my computer up to date (at least I guess that's what happened, because it has changed). I noticed yesterday that he would not favorite Web sites, but I thought it was just the website or bookmarks have been full-time or something. Today, I tried to remove a few bookmarks to make more, but they would not remove. I tried to register a new site, and it wouldn't work. I tried to close/exit firefox and re-opening of the program. While the program was closed, I installed the next set of updates on my computer. When I have opened firefox, all my favorites, and the tab menu (or what you call personal small bar on the actual tabs) were gone. I can't always favorite of new sites, so I can't even re-do all my favorites (and I got a lot, all of them arranged so it's a big loss and incredibly annoying). Then I realized that the back button does not work. And the cursor remains on the typing that I symbol, it does not change the arrow, when I click on a link.
One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.
