New computer - slow encoding!

I received a new computer Saturday and had hoped to see a difference in time of coding, but so far, it seems pretty much the same. Specs are: Windows 8.1 (64), 32 GB of RAM, i7 4770 3.5 GHz, GeForce GTX760 (not support CUDA), 120 GB SSD for the OS and Adobe and Adobe CC 2014. I have 4 video that I shot in 1080 p 29.97 FPS and exports even a minute. Only the effects are stabilising Warp and a few effects Lumetri looks like. All have been made. SOUL 2014 took about 45 minutes to export. I checked the memory settings, and the 32 GB 27 GB is used by first, SOUL, etc. and has been optimized for performance. My old computer had supported CUDA, and it does not - that's the main difference? However, the rendering in the first time is much faster. Have I not some bad settings that slow down the speed of export?

With CS6, there is workaround to get the first to use the GTX cards for hardware acceleration. My understanding is that CC will automatically use capable cards... maybe you need to change the supported cards text file?

But anyway, stabilizing Warp takes forever to render, and color looks plug-ins are also known to take some time. If you want to do any type of reference between the old and the new computer, encode a raw video without effects. It really takes real-time or faster to encode a video in H.264 format on this machine.

  • Transfer the e260 music to new computer?

    I did all the transfers of my playlist on my e260 on an old computer with Windows XP and an earlier version of Windows Media Player.

    I recently bought a new computer which has Windows 7. I did not transfer my music here, but he's sitting on a separate, portable drive.

    Now, I need to update my e260.

    Here are my questions:

    (1) is it possible to transfer my music from my e260 on my computer? I tried to connect the e260 to my new computer, but it shows all records music... only VOICE and FM and something else.

    (2) if I can't copy on, that I need to copy all the songs from the portable hard drive on my new computer or I can create playlists based on the music on portable hard drive (or that will be too slow)?

    (3) will be my current playlists erased once I have transferred from the Windows Media Player update or I have to wipe what is there now? If so how would I do that?

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • New computer freeze at startup

    I just got to build my new computer about a week ago and it was a lot of work. This morning it was freezing at startup. When I click on anything whether it's Windows, it freezes. When I hover over anything, it freezes, etc. I'm sure it's a software problem, because when I start in safe mode, it works fine.

    I read that Avast! has given people of the problems with the gel, so I tried to uninstall, and it does not solve my problem. I also installed Malwarebytes and ran a scan in safemode, it detected only a very small PUPPY, nothing serious.

    Since it works fine in safe mode, I hope that the problem can be easily solved, but I don't know how to fix. It's really frustrating because it worked fine before, but now all of a sudden, it isn't.

    Think that material.

    Remove all power and then reinstall all the memory cards and cables (at both ends where possible).

    Check the memory.

    Update BIOS, drivers from the chipset of low level and all main dashboard and separate device drivers.
    Check with Support from the manufacturer of the motherboard, their online documentation and drivers, and
    Ask problems known in their forums. Do the same thing to individual device manufacturers.

    Tests of memory intercept all errors such as memory do not match (possible even for sticks
    seemingly identical) and when the faster memory is placed in system behind the slower memory.
    So it is best to Exchange also sticks in and out to check for those, even if all the tests of memory do not
    show a problem.

  • Computer slows way down after trying to open internet explorer, then will not be closed.

    I look through the posts and have not found someone who had my same problem still. I hope someone can help me. A few weeks ago, I bought a new gateway laptop and it has Windows 7. It works great until a few days ago. Day before yesterday, I tried to open Internet Explorer 8 and I just got a white screen with the border of IE, but it did not open a page or anything like that. I opened the Task Manager and allows to close the IE. I had that happen in the past (in XP) when I tried to open internet until the computer is carried out all the stuff at the start of the loading. Thinking that was the problem, I tried to open IE again. This time I just got the little thing of circle of rotation for a few seconds, as he was trying to do something, but nothing happened. I then tried to restart the computer. He says "disconnect" for a few minutes, then "shutting down" for about half an hour until I finally pressed right on the power button to turn it off. I have it turned on and had the same problem again. I even tried to open another program (Word) to see if it would work. Finally opened, it was ridiculously slow. I checked the process and it is said there are CPU usage 0. However, he acts like something using all the memory. My next step was to remove the battery. I took it out for a few minutes, restarted in safe mode, and the computer works perfectly. I then restarted it regularly. It seemed to work fine. I opened Word again and she appeared right as usual. So then I tried to open internet. I had the same problem as before, and then the computer slowed to a crawl and would not shut down.     ·         As the problem does not occur in safe mode, try to start the computer to the boot in order to check if any third-party application is causing the problem. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Steps to perform the clean boot and check if you have the problem.

    i. Click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    II. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    III. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    IV. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

    v. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.

    VI. click OK.

    VII. When you are prompted, click restart.

    VIII. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  • my new computer never crashes since I instsalled flash all I can do to fix this?

    my new computer worked very well until I installed Flash to play a game and since it falls down and must be cold started to reboot.

    Sometimes, it crashes as soon as windows is loaded and must be restarted to do anything on the computer.  It doesn't have to be online to crash and it crashes even when I do not have anything to do with flash.

    I don't know that Flash is what makes crash or if it's just a coincidence, but if you can help I would be very grateful.

    Problem has proved to be a bad treatment unit.   Everything suggested here as well as what Microsoft has offered tried and kept going again on the problem.  Finally found a suggestion on the internet to try blocking off 1 of the dual processors so that the computer was only working on one processor instead of two and now it no longer crashes.  Really slow since its only half the speed/processor that is supposed to work.  Is about to send the new dual processor to society and replace the one we just bought and installed being apparently faulty.

    In Lightroom, go to Preferences, then click on the performance tag, then uncheck the box to disable the GPU acceleration.

  • Should what type of processor I expect in the new computer?

    When buying a new computer, a salesman told me that a computer with a processor i5 would be too slow to work with Captivate and think I would need an i7.  Does anyone have experience with this?

    There are factors much more than just the processor. Personally I prefer i5 i7, but some users have same i3. Captivate is greedy memory, RAM is important as well. It is also heavy on the graphics, if possible get a dedicated graphics card (NVidia works well with other Adobe applications). If your budget allows, please have an SSD for applications at least, it starts quickly. Last question: you used to have open several applications at the same time? I have always Photoshop and open with Captivate (sometimes also Illustrator) Audition

    What exact version of Dreamweaver? Mac or Windows?

    You always have access to the serial number?

  • how re site set on a new computer

    Probably the dumbest question in the word (but I have problems sometimes) I just built a new computer, and I got all my property transferred files I set up dreamweaver and all is good... but I'm afraid to change my sites, because they are not set correctly.  What should I do to my existing files (with all files in them) to enable dreamweaver know that it is the record of the site etc.

    Thanks for putting up with me, I always was a bit slow, but it seems to be deteriorating lately.

  • Running AE 7.0 pro... just got new computer crashing...

    Hi people,

    I used AE professional 7.0 successfully for several years now on an iMac that was five years old.  My iMac just died and I got a brand new.  My AE opens very well (I was wondering if I was going to have to upgrade).  In fact, I used AE several times but it tends to crash for no apparent reason.  The stuff I'm working with is not complicated stuff (just some video footage I got from the firm of sequences and a text layer).  And when I try to make and even 30 seconds of my output project, it crashes before the end of the rendering.

    The old slower computer had no problem, but my newer faster seems to be stuck.

    I'm not particularly jazze spend $300 on an upgrade, because the way I just spent $2,000 on my computer, but if it's the only way I can continue to work, so be.

    Clues as to a quick fix might be able to try?  One of you, people more knowledgeable than me out there (that would be you, probably all) have any idea why this might be happening?

    A major difference (huge, in fact) that After Effects 7 is a PowerPC application. The only way it can work at all on an Intel processor is in Rosetta emulation mode - IE that it cannot operate effectively at all. Frankly, I'm surprised that you got as much as you did.

    If you have a new computer, you need an application written for its processor. After Effects CS3 and later have been written for the Intel architecture processors.

  • new computer, win10, wnt to install the early version

    I just got a new computer, old it will not start. I have a backup of my old drive that has iTunes on it. I moved it to my new drive C:, but it won't work, says "Reinstall". I don't want the latest version of iTunes, I want an earlier version that will 'see' all my music. I do not use anything on iTunes except iPod classic. I have all my music in the iTunes folder. I have about 40 GB CD on what I want to keep. Everything is on my iPod, album art, playlists, songs. I have DL had several versions of iTunes. The only one who will install is the latest version of 64-bit. It will not 'see' my music collection no matter where I put it. I captured a single cd, so I could see where to put the collection. I saw where the new CD was recorded, so I put the collection in the same directory. She acknowledges not all songs. I heard that the latest version of iTunes has a problem of losing titles, so I would go back to an older version which doesn't have this problem and who can 'see' my CD collection. Good ' ol Apple will let me install a 32 bit on my computer version, and the 64-bit versions will not work for me. Can someone tell me how to proceed? I installed MediaMonkey Gold, who sees all of my collection, but I'm not much of a software GURU!
