  Large pdf (over 1000 pages) generated files form SSRS crashes when opened in Adobe reader 11 and saved as with "Optimized for fast web view" activated. This saves fine with disabling this option. However, our customers are not ready to accept this solution because they do not want to change any settings. Please suggest if we should create a ticket with microsoft for SSRS allow the generation of pdf quick display of Web pages or is it an option in Adobe to fix this problem without changing the settings.

  As you have indicated, the PDF SSRS seems to have some elements that are quite similar to be supported for fast web view.

  We asked customers to disable the fast web view, but the customer is big enough to make a change individually on their machines and so were looking for a solution.

  I saw in several forums and a few discussions here as well as disable the fast web view option works for pdf fails.

  Which was just wondering if its known that multiple PDFs genarted by third parties may have problems with the optimization, the Save as optimized for fast web view could be disabled by default installation of acrobat reader rather than be enabled by default

  It's working now. There is a time lag between completing producer Folio edition and be available in Web Viewer. Usually a few minutes or more.

• Lightroom 6.1 update - new features unavailable for me

  I installed the update of Lightroom 6.1 on the 6.01 I bought a month ago. New features such as 'dehaze' and local black and white level adjustments are not available. Dehaze should be available as a slider to develop under effects. He isn't here.

  I have a horrible feeling that these new features are available only for people who rent software rather than people like me who bought outright.  As I missed something?  Is there a work around?  If this isn't the case, it is quite upsetting that people pay at the outset are refused updates in a version of the program.  I hope someone can shed some light on what goes wrong, or what I'm doing wrong.   It was clear from the beginning that Lightroom 6 would not receive any updates. Do not understand people who think they "own" software like Lightroom 6. You do not have the software. You purchase a license to use the software. And when you buy a version such as Lightroom 6 you buy this product. The license of creative cloud is the way to go if you think that all updates as they are made available. But do not despair, Lightroom 7 could be released in a few years. You can expect that some of these updates will be included.

  Publishers can use the producer of Folio to set free articles, aerosol or protected. In the tool Admin account, they can set a threshold to limit the dose items that each customer can view in the web viewer.   Currently I don't think you can use StageVideo in CS5, I guess at one point that an update will be provided, or maybe we'll have to wait for CS6.

  Regarding your second question: no, not all video will use StageVideo, the developer will have the option to use either. So any old flash content will need to be updated to take advantage of this new feature.

• New not available for sending e-mail account

  I created a new e-mail address on my server. I then created an account for it in the mail. I have several other e-mail accounts based on this same server, and everything works fine.

  I entered in the settings of the mailbox even Mail to my new account as for the previous ones. I can send emails to my new account, and I can respond to messages that have been received by this account. But when I try to compose a message, the new account does not appear in the drop-down list.

  You must have a configured SMTP server specifically for this account in Mail-> Preferences-> accounts-> account.

• Adobe DPS web viewer feature...

  Don't know if someone has done - but is there a way to show folios online... a bit like this:

  For this example, the user doesn't have an iPad. But it is supplied with connection references to view secure content of DPS.

  • User visits a site with an iFrame embedded with the used Web content viewer - with folios displayed according to an iPad (horizontal view) library

  • The user can view all folios online, typing through to see all pages of each folio and return to the "library".

  • User accesses only the folios through safe sign-in - i.e.: the content is sensitive and require secure access

  • All other features applies - object States, scrolling images, video, audio, etc.

  Is this possible? I would hope that it is...!

• DPS web viewer - distortion at the foot of articles

  I created 2 versions of Viewer web apps and on the two items show the distortion at the bottom (see photo below).

  This happens on some articles, but nobody else. Can anyone provide a solution please?

  This is a known bug, we work to fix it in the next version. Is your article (by chance) smooth scrolling, but the length is not a multiple of 1024 (portrait mode) or 768 (landscape mode)?

  I understand that if you share your free content via your iOS app it can be viewed in a browser (with a few features missing like hitting swiping images.)

  My question is this...

  I have a business account... A person buy the magazine and finds the whole magazine through a desktop computer with the DPS Web Viewer? Or its just limited to free content on your web browser, but they must have an iPad to view all mag?  They get full access to the desktop so they buy.
