  I have Acrobat 8 which was pre-installed when I bought the laptop (so I don't have disks and information). Now, I bought a new computer and I want to reinstall Acrobat 8.1.4 on this computer and uninstall the key on the old.

  Good question. You can reshape many parts of the Firefox UI, but I don't know about the Library dialog box. Because this dialog box is also used as bookmark Organizer, I'm not sure you want to remove the left column. Find how to refine just tweaking for downloads may take some time.

  As a solution, if you prefer the old dialog box, there is apparently a way to switch back. I have not tried myself. Check out this thread: am new version, want to come back to the previous download box, a new has no history and does not show the speed of download, how to get back?

  I had to buy new computer cause the old one does not stay on, and I want / need to get all my info from Firefox - bookmarks etc... on my new computer. I had everything backed up (supposedly) on a WD external drive and I can't have information out of it either. My other computer was 5 years old and I used Firefox from the start, so there is a lot of info that I desperately need.

  If you still have this old computer, remove the hard drive and put it in a USB drive enclosure - (should be available at most stores that sell new computers) and recover your data from the old hard disk Firefox.

  It seems that the drivers that you install is contradictory as rolling back to previous drivers does not cause the issue. Recent driver update makes your computer unstable.
