Newbie: QuickPrint button toolbar does not work in the browser

Hi all

does anyone know a solution for this:

-a wrote a javascript that adds a button on toolbar containing the following lines:

app.addToolButton({)
cName: "atbToolButton1."
oIcon: oIcon,.
cExec: "this.print ({bUI: false, bSilent: true, bShrinkToFit: true});"
cTooltext: "Print without print settings dialog box."
NPO: 0,
cLabel: "QuickPrint".
});

-the script is located in the directory drive with the name config.js Javascript

-It works fine but only in the player

-When a pdf document is opened in the browser of my good script doesn't seem to work

-I know that in the browser, it is the activex plug-in

Is it possible to have this toolbar button in the browser plug-in? And is there another place to copy to the script?

Help, please.

Thanks for any help in advance.

PS: I use the reader version 9.1

Concerning

Andreas

Hi endi70,

The solution I found playing with toolbars in the reader is as follows:

1. launch the standalone player and the "QuickPrint" toolbar is here (as mentioned by you after you have copied the 'config.js' in the folder JavaScripts.

2. drag this "QuickPrint" toolbar to the main application toolbar so that this toolbutton now becomes part of the toolbar main application (see attached screenshot).

3. now, open a pdf in the browser and the tool button "QuickPrint" will also be there.

Please note that I tried with Adobe Reader 9.3.2 and IE6

Thank you
-Shilpi

  • Exit button does not work in the browser window - 8 Captivate

    Someone at - he found a way to get the button leave on the 8 Captivate toolbar to work in the browser window?  I saw that he did not work in previous versions of Captivate. Is there a way to operate in 8 Captivate?  Alternatively, Adobe is working on a fix to get the button work?

    Yes, the close X works in 100% of the time. This is because the browser itself is just a window in the operating system. And you're dominating the window to close.

    And you might wonder why this works while the Exit button fails back. And it would be that it is a security issue. Safety prevents the window from closing because if a web site has been bad, he could actually trick you by change and quickly close the window and prevents you from browsing.

    It is easy to disable the button Exit. Just click Project > Skin Editor and erase the close box.

  • Keyboard event listener does not work in the browser

    Is there a reason why a keyboard event listener would not work if the flash is embedded in an HTML element? The rest of my game runs well in the background, but I can't launch the movieClip "nextCar." My code is below, if that makes a difference...

    goNow function (event: KeyboardEvent): void {}
    thisOtherKey = event.keyCode;
    If (thisOtherKey == 32) {}
    nextCar.gotoAndPlay (2);
    parkingQue.play ();
    tent ++;
    }
    }
    stage.addEventListener (KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, goNow);

    This is perhaps a silly question, but have you tried to click on your swf file once it opens in the browser and then try the keyboard controls?

    I don't know any problems that may cause debugging workwhen event listeners, but not in a browser.  So I think that maybe your just not well centered on the swf.

    Some keyboard shortcuts cannot be assigned because the browser will always take precedence, and I guess that CTRL-A, a shortcut to select all universal is one of them.

    I've upgraded to firefox ver. 41.0 Norton Toolbar does not work with it and it's a program that I use extensively. Norton tells their toolbar does not work because the worm 41.0 is a beta version. When you release the full version, toolbar works. I didn't know that your new version is a beta version, did you?

    41.0 Firefox since the Sept. 22 to www.mozilla.org and www.mozilla.org/firefox/all current version

  • Norton Toolbar does not work with Firefox 17, provided Comcast Norton Security Suite, Win 7.

    I have Norton Security Suite provided by Comcast. Norton Toolbar does not work with Firefox 17.0.1 on my Win 7 machine. I lived all the questions on this topic and did all the steps and when I click on "Add-ons", he always says that the toolbar is not compatible. It works with IE, but I prefer to use Firefox.

    I had the same problem in the past. If you call customer Norton service toll-free they have always helped me start (without charges) when I have updated to a new version of Firefox - seems to happen every time even if I run the updates regularly. Hope that this phone help-Norton support is always very friendly and helpful-just Google their 800 number.

  • "back" button does not work and the home page does not display on startup

    My buttons next and previous no longer work. They show just gray and I cannot click on them.
    Also my home page does not appear when I launch firefox.
    I reinstalled firefox 4 and then I went back to firefox 3.6.16 and have the same problem in both versions.
    Don't know what to do anymore
    I just found out that when I opened a second window everything works well in the second window, but it still does not work in the first window.
    The same thing happens when I close both windows. The first window of my home page does not appear and the back button does not work, but the second window is operating normally. Including my home page.

    Try:

    Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > appearance/themes).

    • Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

  • The new tab (+) does not work, or the file/new tab feature

    The new tab (+) does not work. The function of the file/new tab does no more work. Both had worked correctly until noon today. I haven't added any software, plug-ins or extensions today, I do not have the Ask toolbar. I tried several of the suggestions made on this site, nothing helps.

    This problem may be caused by an extension that does not work in the current version of Firefox.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

    My apple pencil does not work after the 9.3.4 update. I tried to restart but still does not work. Tried to forget the device and whenever I connect the pencil to the ipad pro, it is said that it does not recognize the cable / device. Help please.

    < re-titled by host >

    Greetings RechargeableJam,

    Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!

    I see that your Apple pencil does not work after update to iOS 9.3.4. I guess it's about to have a problem with something that worked with the previous version of the iOS software. I'm happy to help you to help you find the best resolution.

    First of all, let's close open applications on your iPad Pro. This can ensure that there is nothing running in the background that is causing a conflict. The following article will help you:

    Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    Then connect the pencil of Apple and see if it is recognized for the time being. If you don't see the Pair button, wait a minute while your Apple pencil costs. Then disconnect your Apple pencil, Plug and back on hold until you see the button in hand.

    Best regards.
