NO license installed on the sensor key

When I connect to IDM for IP addresses, I see the message

"There is no license installed on the sensor key."

My IDM is version 6.0

Does that mean something important?

My IPS is operational with the current version of signatures?

And can I download the new version (latest version) of signatures and install on the IPS (using my current active ORC account)?

New TKS

Frank

Your IPS is operational in all directions. Your only limitataion is that you can not apply a

update of the signature.

You can apply updates to the OS, and they are supplied with the current signature pack (from their release date).

The disadvantage of using the OS updates to update your signatures is OS usually updates contain a bunch of new signatures that havn't been tested to a large extent on the ground. So, if you grant your signatures (making the analysis of events in order to eliminate the sigs continually generate false positives), you will have more work to do on your own with a pack of GIS OS update. Updates of GIS who follow an OS update address usually the worst offenders.

  • Windows Vista 64-bit version purchased, can 32 bits be installed with the same key?

Configure a computer for a friend using the version 64-bit of Windows Vista, not knowing its processor's crashing issues with 64 bit... would it not possible to rebuild and get a copy of 32-bit by using the same key via download or something? * original title - 64-bit version of Windows Vista purchased, has not work.__Can I install 32 bit with the same key? (Another was deleted, so it's is more approved I think). *

    Hello

    1. you have a 64-bit processor on your computer?
2 have you installed the correct drivers 64 bit?

When you bought Windows Vista, if it came with two versions of the operating system, a 32-bit installation DVD and an installation DVD 64 bits, then you would be able to use the
same product key. Even if the 32-bit version should work with a 64-bit version of Windows, chances are the 64-bit version will perform better, because it was designed for a
    64-bit version of Windows.

  • How identify which windows Vista worm was installed with the product key

I have a laptop that someone put windows XP on it. It came factory thew with Windows Vista and has the product key on the bottom of the laptop. But I don't know which Ver of Vista the key code to go with. I want to get the right NVA and install it. Is there a way to know which version of windows Vista to go popular with the product key code.

    Thank you

    Mike

You can't say the product key.  If you use an Installation of Vista genuine disc it will install its own version to know the product key when you are prompted to enter (all versions of the same size of the bit are included on the authentic disc).

    I hope this helps.

  • Can't activate Windows 7 after re - install, have the product key for Vista but not W7

    Hello

My father-in-law asked me to help him with his laptop because he had a lot of problems with it. After a lot of work trying to solve the problems, we have decided to re - install Windows because it seemed to be the easiest solution. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the installation disc. After some research, I discovered that it is possible to download an ISO of Windows 7 on Digital River and put it on a USB key to create a pseudo reinstall drive. I looked under the laptop and saw that the product key was still visible on the sticker, so I moved and re-installed Windows 7 using a USB key that had the right file ISO on it.

However, it is only after you have reinstalled Windows 7 that I realized that the laptop came with Windows Vista and which is what provided the product key. It seems that the laptop has been upgraded to Windows 7 after, but my father-in-law doesn't remember anything about it since it is not too good with computer and the laptop belonged to his son.

Now, we have a new installation of Windows 7, but I can't understand how to activate it. I would really appreciate the help as I already put a lot of time on this and cannot find a solution.

    Thank you.

Managed to find a working link to a file image of vista and installed on the laptop. Everything seems fine now.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

And Microsoft sells more than Vista.

    Try this:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer (In your particular hardware manufacturer case) and get the latest drivers for your particular model computer or laptop.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Reinstalling Windows Vista, but do not have the product key. How can I find?

    Install Vista on two machines
OK, so one of my friends has Ubunto Linux installed on their system and they want Windows Vista back. I said I would do and use my disks of Vista OS (16 in total).

Now, the fun is that it doesn't have the product key to its original copy of Vista so how I get it back?

It had Vista installed on it before Linux, however based on a virus that Vista should be completely removed and Linux has been installed as an operating system that is temporary until we find Vista once again, since I'm the one with the OS disk, then we re-install it.

So I'll be able to have my copy of Vista on two different computers?

ALSO: Vista came with the computer when he brought it but no recovery disk (as they did with XP) has been provided.

    Hello

1 No. you cannot use your product key on his computer and your computer: Installation is permitted with a license.

And if yours is preinstalled (OEM license), you could not even give it Vista and consider your computer off.

    2. you can't find the product key for the operating systems pre-installed when the product key on the sticker is missing or lost; read this Information:

The way around this is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send recovery discs to reinstall the operating system properly. They should send records for a small fee.

While they are in contact with the Manufaxcturer of the computer also ask them if there is a way to reinstall the operating system on a recovery partition on the hard drive of your laptop, allowing them to save money.

Either of these methods of recovery normally does not imply that you have to insert a product key as factory Setup key is automatically used to activate this process.

I ran to day thought advise that I could upgrade to windows 7... but apparently so that I can fix the problems of windows, I'm stuck. Thanks for any help!

    Hello

Error code 80070490 claims a repair upgrade install, not an uninstall and clean reinstall.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Windows-Update-error-80070490

If you receive the Windows Update 80070490 error, it means that a file (CBS Manifest) that is needed to install updates is corrupt. To correct this problem, you will need repair Windows. Repair Windows will not damage your personal files or the programs that are installed on your computer.

Have you tried the other option for system update readiness tool in the link I just gave you?

The System Update Readiness Tool for Windows can correct some conditions that cause Windows Update 80070490 error. You can access and run this tool by reading this Knowledge Base article on the Microsoft Web site.

And you need a DVD of Vista from Microsoft to do a repair installation upgrade according to the instructions, NOT the normal manufacturer's recovery disks.

You will need to borrow a Microsoft Vista DVD from a friend or working knowledge.

Here's how a repair upgrade installation:

And if you can't get a loan from a Vista DVD from Microsoft, you may need to do a reinstall of Vista:

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.
