No matter what game I play, sometimes it will go right on my desktop without reason.

* Original title: any game I play...

There is no problem, the game, but sometimes it will go right on my desktop without reason.

Any suggestions?

If the drivers are up to date, and there is nothing in the history of the reliability or the event logs, so I don't know in this case. But as a test, you can try to choose a theme that does not use AERO (i.e. turn off aero) and see if the games work then ok. Its pretty quick change and test and I read in an old post of vista that this didn't help anyway in this case.

There is also the old favorite to try to run the game in a "clean boot" to see if it happens then. https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/929135 not leave as the clean boot no matter what happens, only use it to test and restore normal boot later.

I hope someone will have a better idea.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.

-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • Almost all cases no matter what programs run almost 100% of the CPU running.

Hey guys I have a problem I could use some help with.

    I have a Dell Studio 1555 laptop

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium 64-bit

    4 GB of Ram

    Intel Duo Core T6500 @ 2.1 GHZ

I've had this laptop over a year now and it works perfectly but around a week ago, he went a little out of whack.

Basically, no matter what programs are running my CPU usage will be 90-100%, which makes the laptop almost impossible to use.

It comes and goes a bit, but for the majority of the time is around this margin. (for example I wrote that his party up to 10% once again, little about what I expected, but it will rocket upward again in a few minutes)

The strange thing is that it doesn't seem to be a program or .exe using all CPU. Sometimes odd things as Dell Dock (which must use almost nothing) use up to 40% and if that gets closed or temporarily fixed things like explorer.exe, svchost.exe or whatever happens to be executed at the moment when will start using more CPU and look back up to 100%.

Only, this started happening recently and I have no idea what made him... Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions/help

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • What game launches: I get a sound barrier, but black after update my driver?

I had my computer now for about 2 years (Dell XPS One A2420) and upgraded to Windows 7 last summer.  I have played Sims 2, Halo and Doom 3 without problems since then until about a week or 2 ago.  Since then, the games will load fine, but I hear just no picture.  The game works apparently fine, but with a black screen.  I narrowed down it to my driver graphic (I think) because if I'm going to "roll back" my graphics driver games to play as they did.  I think there may be a problem with the latest driver update.  My graphics card is an Intel (r) 45G / 43G Express.

I have no other problems with my computer and have always been able to play these games before. Help, please!

    Hi phillyeagle2005,

The manufacturer of your card/graphics being responsible for the drivers of the device, I suggest you contact them directly to discuss the matter that you see after you have installed the latest driver updated.

If the graphics card is pre-installed on your Dell computer, you'll want to communicate directly with Dell:

    http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/DellCare/contact_technical_support?c=us&CS=22&l=en&s=DFH& ~ CK = anavml

If you have purchased separately, you'll want to contact Intel:

    I hope this helps!

  • Why the game I played is blocked?

    Hello

I just installed games on the internet as well as a CD that I bought. For some reason if I played the game mode full-screen, just at the time when the game loads it goes back on the desktop again. It's as if something blocked him (if that's really what happened). I tried close again the button on the taskbar to keep charging it, but even if she has already finished loading it back again on the desktop. Usually, I used McAfee, but lately I have uninstall it, but now I use more. This starts to happen recently.

When I always use McAfee I don't have this problem. He tried to check security in the Panel & change the Firewall setting to allow the game to play. But it's annoying that every time I have install a game that I do pay for some games through the firewall & restart the laptop. I don't even know if it is the program of firewall at fault because I did disable the firewall program. It worked for some games, but has not worked well in one of the game. The game is still blocked after I change the Firewall setting & tried to play the game using the full screen. The game is compatible with Windows Vista, it is written in the CD case. What actually happens? What should I do?

    Thank you very much

When you install the games that need to connect to the internet, at first startup, windows will ask if you want to allow it to access the internet. It does only once, and maybe when he did accidentally pressed "cannot". I know you said you checked the firewall, but be sure that set you it as an exception in the firewall.

If you go to the screen where you can turn on the firewall and out and click on the tab exceptions, you can click on the button "Add a program", select the .exe of the game program files (not the shortcut), and this will allow through the firewall. Your anti-virus software may also be blocking, so you may need to add to a list of "trusted program" or something similar (depends of the anti-virus).

  • The game I play is Combat arms, I gave it through the firewall but I still have to allow him, and in the end, the combat arms stops responding and closes due to the DEP. I have it enabled on DEP. Please help me.
