No network activity of the Console more after a reboot

Hello

I joined behavior.

Restarted my ESX 3.5 and I have more access by network to my console.

All the VM has started and are working properly.

If I connect to the 'physical' console, I can see the correct IP config, ping myself... everything is good, but no communication with any other host network

Any ideas?

THX

We had this problem once and it turns out it's a network card doubtful of the blade as opposed to something to do with ESX.  Did you run any diags to see if it's the blade?  Our showed that connected until we ran diags and restarted the blade and then he started to point out the mistakes on the physical NETWORK interface cards.

  • No network connection to the virtual computer after migration manually to the new host

We have added six new hosts to our environment, and I was tasked to test connections of VIRTUAL LAN on each of them before we move VM production of their.  This is probably a simple problem, but I am new to VMWare and need help.  I already talked to our network guys, and he assures me that the physical switches are setup and working properly.  We work a vDS.

I'm testing 14 VLANs on six new hosts.  All but one are constantly working.  (They all work on the hosts of origin which were in force before.)  I have a static IP configuration on my test VM and MAC is set to automatic.  I checked the MAC does not change when you migrate to other hosts and the VLAN correct is listed in the settings the VM network (it is not empty).  Him VLAN will work on three of the six hosts, but not all at the same time.  The strange thing is that guests at work are constantly changing.  For example, this morning hosts11, 12 and 14 may work, but this afternoon, that could change at hosts12, 14 and 16.  I don't understand why they would change on their own.

My test consists of VM testing, migration manually, powering back, then he ping from my computer off.  Of course everything works when I get ping responses.  When I get no answers, the test of the virtual machine has a yellow exclamation mark on the network icon in the system tray.

What should I do to fix this?

How is the network configured?  You have a different NIC port/cable for each VLAN or Trunking used on the side of the switch?

If you use circuits on the side of the switch, then your GRPE ports virtual switch a VLAN ID needs to match the vlan is underway to shared resources.  No matter if it's a standard switch or switch distributed... you still need this ID of vlan.

I've seen the random question that you encounter if missing one or more of of the uplinks on the side of the switch the VLAN.

  • kernel: disk0s2: error IO repeatedly appearing in the activity of the Console. He says this hard drive is faulty?

I've recently updated for the SSD, and it was a bit of a bumpy road so far.

I get these messages in the console app a lot

    kernel: disk0s2: i/o error.

My new hard drive isn't a lemon or is it a software problem?

It does not necessarily mean that the SSD is a failure. It could also be a problem with the SATA cable. Check if it is probably connected and/or replace it.

  • Adding a network interface in the console service to access a different subnet

Currently, I have an esx4.1 with a service console host.

It is connected to a 172.20.32 subnet on its virtual switch.

I have another virtual switch that is not on the supreme court that pertains to a subnet that is dedicated for backups and inter-server communications.  We call this the "back-end network.  It is on the 172.19.8 subnet.

Our backup software requres that the supreme court have access to the backup target that is on the network "Backend".  I need to implement the supreme court so that he can see this goal and be able to carry traffic through the 172.19.8 subnet.

Is this possible, and how would I do?

The easiest way would be to add a second Service Console to the virtual switch on the 172.19.8 subnet

    Hi Al,.

I'm under VMWare ESXi 4 Update 1. I use a pair of firewalls Astaro Security Gateway Computers invited in HA mode on my ESXi 4. My problem is that when the two guest computers are running in HA mode, they are fine. However, when I restart one of them with its virtual NICs defined on 'Connect to the market', it is not 'sync' upward with another. Two firewalls Astaro Security Gateway have a separate NETWORK connected between them for the SYNCHRONIZATION of HA.

However, when I uncheck the 'Connect to light' and allow the guest to start computer and then 'connect' virtual network cards, they work fine.

You can connect the network card in 60 seconds after the start of your virtual machine with the following script PowerCLI:

    # Get the network adapter

I did a repair install and same problem

I then did a uninstall and re-install and it still creates the same error.

  • Changes the keyboard layout after I rebooted

    Hello

Several times when I restart Windows 8, the keyboard has been reset another provision of front. I have a Japanese keyboard on my laptop, so the keyboard layout is set to match. However, often, when I restart windows (I think especially after an update), the layout will be changed (to perhaps US, I'm not sure). It is extremely annoying: all keys of the symbol have moved, and it is very difficult for me to even type my password with a log in.

I can "solve" the problem by restarting Windows, after which he goes back to the provision of origin. But it's really annoying, and I was wondering if someone can help me to fix this bug.

    Thank you very much.

I have Windows 8, 64-bit running on an Asus zenbook (with Japanese keyboard).

I don't really have much knowledge of Japanese keyboards.

  • 64-bit Windows 7 mouse freezes / stuttering several times per minute, when the network activity is high

    Hi all
I recently bought a new computer Packard Bell with a Windows 7 OEM who have a problem with the mouse and keyboard. I've been in contact with the manufacturer, but they are also confused that I have on this issue. After looking in many discussions about the problems of the mouse in windows 7, I found that there are many who have this problem but there is no consistency in the HW configuration, i.e. it seems more a problem with the OS.
I really like the machine and Windows 7, but I have a nagging issue with frequent 1-2 second freeze/stuttering of the mouse during the 'high' network activity (e.g. streaming a YouTube video). During my research, I met at least 4 people who who call network activity affect the behavior of the mouse.
Sometimes the keyboard or the mouse becomes completely insensitive and the system must be restarted. However, on these occasions, the rest of the system is not affected - for example Skype and other programs to continue to operate without glitch or lag.
To try to solve this problem, I did the following (with no effect on the problem):
-Updated all the drivers to the latest.
-J' tried different version of the mouse drivers (most recent running now).
-Tried different versions of the network driver (latest running now).
-Change keyboard and mouse to the PS2 came with the computer.
-Set the system to 'high performance '.
    -Changed for USB mouse
-J' tried various Bios settings 'mode of power/suspend' (proposed in solution in another thread)
One thing that has had a strange effect on the problem was:
-Seen the PS2 and USB mouse is touching one when the other freezes / stuttering will immediately resolve stuttering gel.
    I have studied/noted:
-There has never been a 'error box"popping up in Windows when this happens.
-In the event viewer I see warnings from "i8042prt" regarding (remember, thie is translated from Swedish :) 'The device sent an incorrect response, once the keyboard has been reset' (this is what I found, if you need more information please ask but provide what to look for and where)
My system has the following specifications:
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
    Versions: 6.1.7600 build 7600
    Manufacturer: Packard Bell
    Computer model: ipower G3720
    Computer type: PC x 64
Processor: Intel Core i7 CPU 860 to 2.80 GHz, Mhz, 4 core, 8 logical processors 2801
Date and - version of BIOS American Megatrends Inc. P01 - B1-2010-03-23
    Version SMBIOS 2.6
HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) Version = "6.1.7600.16385".
GB of physical memory (RAM) 6.00
In addition to the original equipment, I also installed a network card PCIe wireless D - Link DWA - 556 Xtreme N PCIe Desktop Adapter (using the latest drivers for windows 7 d-link)
FYI: this is a descent by request of support for MS, disorder report posted here first: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7performance/thread/01655e0a-1489-44e0-ad75-e9ee5486d91e?prof=required
Thanks for any help on this

    Hi Chris,

I might have a happy ending to this topic :)
I returned my old piece of system got another, it worked fine at first, but then the mouse began to stutter once again.

The system had only a few programs installed so I started to uninstall it to see if it changed anything.
    A program - Skype.

I never suspected that my friends use Windows 7 and Skype without any problem, although they could not use quadcore and 64-bit version.

My system is without stutters and glitches for a week, so I'm pretty sure that was the problem.
That Skype is a very wide spread of IM, it could apply to other institutions.

    Thanks for your help!

  • How to get the console on cRIO based on linux?

    Hi all

I develop new things on a cRIO 9068. This cRIO runs Linux RT.

I built a framework of cRIO app and use for several years, I use the console to debug my code and have the status of my displayed cRIO.

I can't find a way to see the console with the 9068 when I send strings to it (see the simple example attached to this post).

Can someone help me see that I send to the console?

BTW: I do not want to write debugging on the serial port, only to watch channels.

In fact, in order to obtain the result (which is for the port series, either through the exit option "monitor" that requires activation of the console series see, or the serial port as usual without configuring the console out) to be visible, the network, there is not a great, simple way to do a little more ethernet today.

One option you have is to change how lvrt is launched to save to a file and to access this file (either from lvrt, webdav or ssh), wrote messages on the screen. It is a more down-n-dirty approach, but he could get the results you wanted.

Change the /etc/init.d/lvrt-wrapper or/usr/local/natinst/labview/lvrt-wrapper file to channel the monitor console to a file

(note that brackets [] denote a touch, the lines that begin with / / are notes and does not have to be entered)

    VI/location/of/lvrt-wrapper

Go to the line that looks like 'exec. "/ lvrt.

    [i]

Add the following code at the end of the line

    [space]>[space]/home/lvuser/lvrt.log

    [:] [w]

The line should now look like 'exec. "/ lvrt > /home/lvuser/lvrt.log.

Restart your target, check the contents of the file with "cat /home/lvuser/lvrt.log.
