Hello

It seems that the recovery media creator software is always installed, but the HARD drive recovery partition has been deleted from the HARD drive.

This is why the recovery media creator can't access the HARD drive recovery partition.

What to say. In this case, you will not be able to create the recovery media :(

But you can order this disc from here:

    Hello

But when I installed the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, the external optical drive disappeared

I want to do a system recovery disc

    Hello

The Recovery Media Creator is a tool of Toshiba which requires Toshiba image files to create the recovery disk. The image files are placed on a different partition called recovery of HARD drive partition.

If the HARD drive has been changed or deleted this partition, the recovery media creator will not be able to find image files and you will not be able to create this disc.

So my question is: you reinstall Windows 7 at your own hand? Did you change the HARD drive in the past?

  • HARD does not work after changing the disk partitions recovery media creator

    Hello world

After installing windoows 8.1 April major upgrade (win 8.1 presents as OEM), and have shrunk C partition to create a data partition "D", "Troubleshooting" option under advanced start menu is no longer available.

Toshiba Recovery Media Creator does not work, too (it can not find any hard disk recovery partion).
I got in the OEM recovery partition.
I am also able to create a recovery using the Windows tool unit.
You have no idea about it?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

Sorry to hear about all this. Unfortunately, you now have a big problem. I don't understand why you didn't create support of recovery before you started to change the factory settings, including to change the structure of the partitions of HARD drive.

Mobile offered with factory settings a structure specific partitions and recovery recorded image is saved on the partition of drive specific and marked with invisible markers. These markers are visible for preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool and when you start the tool can find points of reference and has full access to specific files.

Unfortunately, after changing the original scores structure Toshiba tool cannot find these markers more and is not able to copy files from recovery media recovery. What you need now is the original recovery disk. Using this disk, you can install original recovery image and after doing this, you will have new factory settings.

I know it sounds stupid now but you must order the original recovery disk and it can be done on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Question about Recovery Media Creator

Hello everyone, first of all, I don't know if this should be in this category, but I thought it would be best to post in.

My question is about the progress of the Recovery Media Creator. I was about to create the recovery DVD and I noticed that there are several support options for recovery (Recovery Media recovery media 3 1).

My question is, what are the differences between them? No matter if I only check one of them, so I need less DVD or smaller USB?

    Thanks in advance.

PS Excuse my grammar or bad explanation if there is no error.

    Hello

As much as I know there is no difference between the to 3 1 recovery media recovery media.
This info shows you ONLY the quantity of disks required.
If you create a recovery using a DVD media, you might have more than one DVD disc.
In case you create USB recovery media, you won't have many different memory USB flash keys.

  • Recovery Media Creator does not work.

My recovery media creator does not work. Its shows that 'no disk HARD recovery area '.
What to do to achieve a recovery of HARD drive space?

The message on the screen says: no HDD Recovery area

This means that the recovery media creator software is unable to find image files stored on the HARD drive recovery partition.
    Why?
There are different reasons for this...

One of the reasons could be the missing HARD drive recovery partition or files (image files) have been deleted...

  • Satellite L855 - 12 X: how to use BD - RE with TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator

    Hi all

My question is about the progress of the Recovery Media Creator.
I was about to create the recovery and I noticed that there are several options (DVD 4.7 GB, DVD 8.5 GB and Flash memory).

My Toshiba Satellite L855 - 12 X with a Blu - ray burner disc drive and I would use a BD - RE, I bought for backups.

Does anyone have a solution to use this media?

I guess that Blu - ray discs are not supported by Recovery Media Creator.
As you said: the 4.7 GB DVD, the 8.5 GB DVD and USB Flash memory stick options are available.

I think the 16 GB USB flash memory stick would be the best choice

  • Is it possible to download the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator?

    Hello everyone,

I have a question on the Recovery Media Creator. Is it possible to download it from toshiba.com? Because I can't find it here... I deleted from my computer cell, just thought that I should not use anyway. But now I have to install a second time to remove stuff from my laptop.

Hope someone can help me here,

    Robin.

    Hello

To my knowledge, this is not possible because the Toshiba recovery disc creator is part of the image of Toshiba and it can be used only in connection with the files of images available from Toshiba.

If you would like to format the HARD drive and install the Win 7 OS own then Toshiba image files would be unavailable and the Toshiba Recovery disk Creator will not work.

I found a similar question on the Toshiba U.S. forum > click HERE.

I also think that the recovery files are corrupted and you need is original Toshiba recovery DVD.
Is that you get to laptop with OS preinstalled and you should be able to create recovery discs. Try to contact the closest service Toshiba and explain the situation. If you didn t change anything on the system is not your fault and maybe you will get the discs for free.

  • Recovery Media Creator and USB

I try to use "Recovery Media Creator' loading on a 16Gig USB drive.
The program insert me a greater than 12 Gig USB flash drive ask what I do.

He said while the drive will be formatted and then comes up with "Format Failed (Error Code: 040E49-04-00000000)" and the USB key becomes illegible. Using disk of Windows & tool management I can then format the drive and use it becomes usable with the exception of "Recovery Media Creator".

I formatted in FAT32, NTFS and exFAT, but none does.
I tried two USB flash drives, both the same behavior.

As far as I know, there are no partitions on the disk and I used successfully "Recovery Media Creator" on one of the disks in the past. I want the files to restore another computer, something I've done successfully before.

I can burn data using DVD but the DVD did not work so I want to try the USBs. I have read some threads in this direction but have not found the answers to date. I'm sure that there is a simple explanation but I'm not.

Usually, the creation of recovery using the USB flash key support should work fine.

I read in some other threads that the preinstalled anti-virus software could cause similar problems... so I recommend you to disable the antivirus and other security software... so this should work

Other guy says that delete the partition entirely and create a new simple volume would also work.

  • Re: Toshiba Recovery Media Creator - no HDD Recovery area

Hi friends, I bought a new Toshiba Kirabook PSU8SA-00V00U, a few months ago. I wanted to create emergency recovery disks, but whenever I start Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, it comes with a message that HARD drive recovery area undetected.

Then I tried running the recovery environment by pressing 0 at the beginning upward.
It comes with a blue screen saying that can not load from the recovery partition.

I checked with Paragon Hard Disk Partition Manager software that the recovery drive is available.

How do I make a recovery media or connect this HDD in system recovery so that Toshiba Recovery Media Creator detects the recovery disk and made recovery media. If in the future, if I want to reset the PC to factory settings, it will be even coming up with a blue screen saying that it can not load the recovery environment.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello

Fact is that the installation of image recovery or recovery media creation works if the machine has only factory settings. In other words, everything must be in original condition without any changes. With the changes I mean, original OS must be installed and the structure of the partitions of HARD drive should not be changed.

If you try to change HARD drive partitions original structure the system in general, or Toshiba recovery media creator, will be confused and will not be able to find what we call markers which provide information on the exact location on the HARD disk where the recovery image is placed or registered.

Did you do something that might be responsible for this situation?

  • Alternative method of Recovery Media Creator

I just bought a z830. Is there a way to create the recovery disks with other software that the creator of media provided "recovery"? Apparently 'Recovery media creator' only works with DVD or a USB drive, which I did not. I would like to have the picture of the matter of recovery on my external hard drive and burn it to disk in the event of need.

If I create an image of the partition recovery with another software, say Adonis True Image, this can be used to set the laptop to factory settings?

    > I just bought a z830. Is there a way to create the recovery disks with other software that the creator of media provided "recovery"?
If you want to create the recovery disk that contains the recovery image Toshiba that the answer is no.
    > Apparently 'Recovery media creator' only works with DVD or a USB drive, which I did not.
And where is the problem? If you have the money to buy the laptop for 1000 Euro I assume you will have 15 Euros to buy the 8 GB or 16 GB USB key and create recovery media.
    > I would like to have the picture of the matter of recovery on my external hard drive and burn it to disk in the event of need.
Unfortunately, this won't work. You can copy the external HARD drive recovery image, but you won't have access to it when you want to start the HDD recovery procedure.
    > If I create an image of the partition recovery with another software, say Adonis True Image, this can be used to set the laptop to factory settings?
I don t think so. Toshiba has designed own procedure how to avoid illegal use or modification of recovery images.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - missing Recovery Media Creator

I recently bought a C850 Pro Satellite and, after update to Windows 7 and everything defining the way I like it, I tried to create a recovery media.

However, when I click on Recovery Media Creator in the programs, the file 'TRMCLcher.exe' is not found. In fact, I can't find anywhere on the computer.

In the directory C:/Program Files/Toshiba/Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, there is an app called "toRDC.exe" but it does not.

Someone has ideas how to get creator of Meda recovery to run? D rather avoid the hassle to use the recovery option of hard drive partition to return to factory settings if possible, especially as I doubt m Recovery Media Creator works even in this case, I have seen ve not deleted or modified files with the program.

Grateful for any help, thank you.

Take a look at this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/computers/Satellite/Pro/C850/pskc9a-00t019/download?OS=25

Here, I could find the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator for Win 7 64 bit for download.
Of course, if you need 32-bit version, you must change the settings in the upload form.

  • Impossible to uninstall Toshiba Recovery Media Creator

    Hello

I can't seem to uninstall Recovery Media Creator every time I try to uninstall I seem to get a red x error message with the error code (-5005: 0 x 80070002),.

I think that this has been caused by the system restore, it can removed a file in the folder of the Trusted Installer, I tried literally everything I know but can't seem to remove it.

I got my recovery so I tried to remove it because of that and bothers me like when I can't remove a program, I have no idea how to manually remove programs but I have a little knowledge with systems operating so if theres any advice on that would be great.

    Kind regards
    Kaya90

Visit the Toshiba download page, download and reinstall Toshiba Recovery Media Creator. I hope this will solve your problem and then do what you will be able to remove it.

  • Reinstall upgrade WIN8 on Satellite L870 - Toshiba Recovery Media Creator

    Hello

I did the upgrade from WIN 8 on a laptop Toshiba L870-156. The upgrade is OK, but I have no more creative media recovery Toshiba, as the upgrade procedure, said he should be desinstalled before upgrading and reinstalled after the upgrade.

I have a big problem: where can I find a Toshiba Recovery Media Creator to reinstall?

    Hello

The Toshiba Recovery Media Creator can be used only with a system pre-installed (in your case of Win 7).

  • NB200 - Recovery Media Creator and drive HARD USB

I just bought a white NB200 and noticed that it does not come with a DVD of Windows 7 in case I ever need to install.
I was informed by the seller in the store I could save a copy on a USB key using a recovery disc writing.
I assume that "Recovery Media Creator" is the best way to do it.

I booted up and it said that it will be 6.7 GB. I don't have a USB this size, but have a portable hard drive (250 gb) with 120 GB to spare.
Even though I can view the drive in Windows Explorer / workstation, the program of recovery media says ' Please insert a USB drive with greater than 6.7 GB memory ', whenever I click on the create"" button.

    If anyone can help?

    Hello

I doubt that you can use the USB HDD to create a recovery disk image.
The Toshiba recovery disc creator has been designed in order to create a bootable recovery disk!
It has not been designed for sure the image of Toshiba on the HARD drive!

So if you want to use the Toshiba recovery disc creator then you must buy a USB CD/DVD drive that can burn the recovery image on a DVD
