Not able to connect to the user account, error: user profile Service has no logon

I'm on a HP Pavilion dv7 with Windows 7.  I created a user account for my wife but she cannot open a session because of the messages "the user profile Service has no logon.  User profile cannot be loaded. »

Where and how can I fix it?

Thank you.

Original title: need help with setting up an account

Hi Larry,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

From your description, it seems that you are not able to connect to the user account when you try to connect you get following error. The user profile Service has no logon

This behavior can occur if the user profile was deleted manually using the command prompt or by using Windows Explorer. A profile that is manually deleted does not remove the security identifier (SID) of the list of profiles in the registry.

If the SID is present, Windows will try to load the profile using the profile Image path that points to a nonexistent path. Therefore, the profile cannot be loaded.

To resolve the problem with the user account, you can follow these steps:
Method 1:
(a) click Start, type regedit in the start search box, and then press ENTER.
(b) search for, and then expand the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

(c) right click the SID that you want to remove, and then click on remove.
(d) log on to the computer and create a new profile.
You can also check this link:
Error message when you log a computer Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 by using a temporary profile: "the user profile Service has no logon. Unable to load the user profile.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215

Important: The above section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Method 2: Also, see the steps in the following Microsoft article:

(a) error message when you log a computer Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 by using a temporary profile: "the user profile Service has no logon. Unable to load the user profile.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947215

Note: We strongly advise against making it the standard way to remove the user profiles on computers. Documented and supported approach is using the system advanced settings in the system, "Profiles" settings properties For programs, it is available using the API 'delete profile '.

If the SID is present, Windows will try to load the profile using the profile Image path that points to a nonexistent path. Therefore, the profile cannot be loaded.

(b) how to back up and restore the registry in Windows

(c) IF you still have the problem then you can follow the link provided below to fix the damaged user profile.

    http://www.eightforums.com/user-accounts-family-safety/6084-any-fixes-user-profile-can-t-loaded-Windows-8-a.html

The manufacturer of the system should give you a method to restore the system to factory settings as well.  Maybe the press of a button to start, or you were supposed to make the media or something similar.  Call NOW and ask if you can get a CD/DVD restore media.  Get, even if it costs a bit.  Better to get it so that you don't need that when you do.

Windows 8/8.1 also restore, refresh and restore capabilities.  It's good for some things, but methods of restoration/recovery of the manufacturer are the best long term for several reasons.

  • The user profile service has no logon user failed to load profile

I get this problem on my administrator account. When I log in as a guest to follow all the troubleshooting suggestions, it forces me to allow the changes by typing my password Admin, I did not and never required. So... any other suggestions? How can I fix this problem with a non administrator account?

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

You can try to fix it with Safe Mode - repeatedly press F8 as you bootup. Safe Mode ADMINISTRATOR account has no password by default (unless someone has changed the password so it should be available).

Some programs such as the Google Updater (if you added the toolbar Google, Chrome or Google Earth) has been known to cause this problem.

Use the hidden administrator account to lower your user account APPLY / OK and then lift it to ADMIN. This allows clear of corruption. Do the same for other accounts if necessary after following the above message.

You can use the hidden - administrator account to make another account as an ADMINISTRATOR with the same password (or two with the same password) to use a test or fix the other.

You can run the Admin account hidden from the prompt by if necessary.

  • Husband can no longer connect computer. Message reads ' the user profile service has no logon. User profile cannot be loaded"

How can I solve this problem? I have Windows Vista.

    Hello

1st thing to try is the system in safe mode restore to before the problem

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

When you log on a Windows Vista-based or a Windows 7 computer by using a temporary profile, you receive the following error message:

The user profile Service has not logon. User profile cannot be loaded.

If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it. You will need to create a new profile and then copy the files from the existing to the new profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

  • I get the message "the user profile Service has no logon. User profile could not be found. How?

    Compaq Presario CQ3160D desktop PC

    Windows 7 Home Basic 32

When I connect to the correct password, the message "the service user profile Service has no logon. Profile of user was not found. "That message was met on the morning of 12/07/2011 from. I remembered that as I logged on the night of 12/06/2011, I had to wait 1 1 update. After this 1 update, things have changed. How to solve this?

    Hello

    You can try the following.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon (if ideally 12/05/2011 or before) and then do the restore.  When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.

Another option if the above does not help is as follows.

Shut down the PC.  Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.

    Kind regards
