  After many sync problems with Notes, I decided to start from scratch. I backed up all the notes on my Mac, disconnected all iCloud drive and then removed from the Notes container in stock to manage devices. It was clearly a mistake - I realize now I should have deleted the data inside of the container. Initially, I imagined that when I went on iCloud sync on one of the devices (Mac, for example) the container should be recreated automatically. Of course, it was not. Mac and iPhone are both showing some iCloud Notes - I entered the data from different test on both devices - and sync turns ball is encouraging. But no synchronization takes place and no container in managing storage.

  I checked Time Machine to see if I could find the container but the contents of the iCloud drive seems to not be recorded (unless I'm missing something or do not wait long enough).

  So I need to recreate the container, if possible. Is it possible to do it without having to reinstall OS 10.11.6?

  I'm not sure I know what notes, your average container. I have no record of notes in iCloud drive or system preferences > iCloud > manage, I don't see where else you would mean that if you were opening the hidden locations.

  Hello, I'm having a problem where I had a ton of notes on my iPhone 6s and my iCloud started to become full. I went to settings < general < storage & use iCloud < Manage iCloud storage and I deleted my backup of notes so I could have more space on my iCloud. I thought that all my tickets would always remain on my phone but when I went to my notes app everything was gone! Is it possible to recover?

  Hmmm, it's confusing.

  You are in iOS 9.3.2.  When iOS 9A was introduced, Notes crossed a great upgrade.

  Had you upgraded to Notes, you will find folders called 'Notes' and "Recently deleted" after pressing on the "<" symbol in the top left of the Notes application.

  Seems that Apple has temporary problems with their activation servers. Many users report similar problem on older devices.

  I upgraded my MacBook Pro (mid-2012) to El Capitan 10.11.3 yesterday.  I upgraded to OS X Lion 10.7.5.  My contacts have disappeared.  I did not use iCloud.  Can someone tell me where they were stored and how to charge them?  Or absent, the steps to find them on a Time Machine backup and restore them?

  Restore from your backup. Just open the Contacts application, then enter the Time Machine.

• Outlook displays only not calendars iCloud.

  Not sure if it's an Outlook problem or a one iCloud. Synchronize us our calendars in Outlook so that all 4 of us can see calendars of each and other.  On 2 of the PC that we suddenly get the message - "the set of folders could not be opened. The information store could not be opened' and we cannot access the calendars. The other 2 work perfectly.

  So far, I did a reboot. I also opened the dialog box settings to iCloud and unsynced calendars, then did a restart then set up again. Always do not display.

• I do not understand iCloud photo library...

  IM probably having a time above, but I am having trouble with the use of the library.

  I found that the way it worked you take a bunch of photos on your iPhone and then download the ones you want to keep the photo library to icloud. Everyone has signed in the same iTunes account could then download those they loved and keep them locally on their device.

  The way it seems to actually work is that every single photo I take gets downloaded, and then downloaded to each single device on the account and if I delete one of the photos on my phone (for free space, for example) the same pictures are deleted on the iCloud library and all devices!

  is there really no way to selectively download the library and then keep the photos here as a repository of images?

  What is the point of having just pictures on all devices?

  You ask if it is not possible with iCloud Photos because it was not designed for this.  iCloud is a mirror/sync implementation service that synchronizes all your photos/videos on all of your devices, making them almost immediately available on all your devices, and if you happen to delete a photo or video to a device, it is removed from all devices.

  iCloud was not designed as a storage system traditional cloud based.  If that's what you're looking for, then you will have to look for opportunities to third parties such as Flickr, Dropbox or Google Photos.

  You can also use the function "Optimize iPhone storage" to save space on your device.

  I see your Notes application crashes just after opening. When you have enabled synchronization iCloud offshore, you have not the question. I understand perfectly. I use iCloud for my Notes too, so I know how critical it is that it works, and you can synchronize Notes between devices. I'm happy to help you with this.

  First, we will start your computer in safe mode. Safe mode disables many startup items and can help you diagnose problems you're having with your Mac. Once in safe mode, configure iCloud via the Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud and test to see if you get the same result:

  iCloud Libray Photo is not a backup service; It is a synchronization service. Whatever you do a device is synchronized with all other devices, including your computer and iCloud. That's how it was designed to work.

  If you are running out of storage space on your device, choose to use a local library optimized photos. This will dynamically adjust the size of the library based on how much storage is available.

  Otherwise, you will need to disable iCPL and return to the management of your image sync via iTunes.

  What OS computer are you using with iTunes, and iTunes version number are you using?

  This error message you get when you are trying to backup to iCloud? Have you tried a backup manual iCloud? Your iTunes is set for the iCloud backup or backup of a computer?
