Notification of change of time system - BB 10

Hello

Is there any event/signal that is emitted when the user tries to change the time (or time zone), on the device. Older version of Blackberry 5/6/7, I used to get DateTimeUtilities.GUID_TIMEZONE_CHANGED and DateTimeUtilities.GUID_DATE_CHANGED.

Thank you

Brsengar

I looked into the native SDK library function and found the solution. I hope it could be useful for someone else.

You must use the library of BPS in your stunts and subscribe to clock_get_domain() and register for clock_request_events (0): Note 0 is the default and other values are stored for future reference.

To look for a test of clock_get_domain() to the bps event loop, and whenever the date/time/time zone schedule is modified, you will get your event as:

unsigned int dcode = bps_event_get_domain (event);

If (dcode is {clock_get_domain()})
unsigned int code = bps_event_get_code (event);
if(code == CLOCK_INFO) {}
int seconds = clock_event_get_date_change (event);
const char * timezone = clock_event_get_time_zone_change (event);
}

}

It will be useful.

    As you probably understand, setting is translucent because your IT Department at work has controlled this configuration in the field (which is why I have inserted the caveat "unless the domain policy changed that").  When you exit your laptop from work to home, the domain policies remain in place.  If you do not have the administrative rights on the computer, you should always be able to change the policy by using KB266280 of my previous post... but as soon as plug you it into the network of your domain to work, the policy will return.

    Are you sure that it is an application that is causing the problem?

    When you are connected to the Internet, Win XP will periodically synchronize with a time server.  If you have Win XP on the wrong time zone, your computer displays the local time 'bad '.

    Double click on the time (lower RH of your screen) and select the time zone tab.  Select the correct time zone for your location and check the DST box.  If necessary, change the time manually to your local time and save your changes.

    Then select the time tab Internet - and make sure that you have a server in the server field.  I use the time - a.nist.gov.  There are many alternative servers, including time.nist.gov and time.windows.com.  Click 'Update now'.

  • Time system continues to change

    I use a MacBook Pro with Bootcamp. First of all, not to change the hour on Mac OS and Windows XP system. After having RealTimeIsUniversal = 1 in the registry of XP, the time is still ok on Mac OS. In Windows XP, it keeps being defined by 5 hours (e.g. watch instead of 14:00 19:00 ist). Change the time zone does not help. The problem occurs if the computer is connected to a network. Windows XP is completely up-to-date with all Service Packs and critical updates. The bootcamp software is perfectly up-to-date. I couldn't find the events in the event viewer that occur when the weather changes. I have run out of ideas. Any other ideas out there?

    Hi Cody,

    Thank you. I checked some forums MAC OS and that's where I found the solution to add the RealTimeIsUniversal setting in the Windows registry. Who has not solved my problem of time Windows as described above. I tried another workaround solution that seems to work very well for the moment: I deleted the registry in real time entry, restarted Windows, set the clock to the correct time zone and the local time and restarted again. Now, the Windows clock works fine. I guess that with RealTimeIsUniversal = 1 it keeps switching to UTC = GMT, which is exactly the difference of five hours of New York Times. The clock on the MAC OS is now 5 hours off. I tried to set the time correctly, but it changes at each restart.  I could finally solve that by changing the time zone as well as the selected zone is the local time in New York.  Not perfect, but the best I found so far.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Tom

  • Date and time system continues to change each time the system starts.

    I noticed that the time and date of my home PC gets changed every time the system is booted. The default date is set for Jan. 2008, when in fact it should be July 2014.

    Also, my PC became slow death. I use Windows 7 on 1 GB of RAM, 250 GB PC. I used last my home PC 2 years back, but there has always been someone to use it.

    It shows the OS disk to 7 GB of free, when in fact I never installed or anything unnecessary stored on the disk of BONE; Whatever unnecessary programs were there, I uninstalled them recently, keeping just a few essential ones. After uninstalling, it shows to 7 GB of free, when in fact it should be more than that.

    I use Avast anti-virus, which I think is unnecessary, that its not to protect my PC and as other programs, too, is quite dead slow.

    The system is infected by viruses? Manually, I checked the system for viruses and clean the system of all unnecessary and, program files, but I'm still not sure whether it is a virus or a PC problem.

    I am a COMPUTER analyst, and's just done it 2 days that I use my PC at home. I could format my PC, or where applicable be buy Windows 8 with a new processor.

    Please advise.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Ralph Davidson.

    Hello

    You really need a minimum of at least 2GBs of RAM to run Windows 7 well enough.

    As you have only 1 GB of RAM, which seems to be one of the reasons why it is slow.

    Increase the physical RAM or try ReadyBoost:

    Looks like you have some problems.

  • Change of time recent NOVT unrecognized

    NOVT timezone, also known as the Asia/Novosibirsk, was recently relocated from UTC + 6 UTC + 7 (in fact, the region itself has changed its time zone KRAT). However, this change is not yet recognized by my MacBook Pro 2015 start the latest version of Mac OS X. Timezone is updated automatically based on the location, and the map on the preferences of the system continues to consider the entire region of Novosibirsk as part of Omsk time zone.

    How long does normally for the operating system update the time zone database? Is there a way to force shoot them the latest data of the tz database? Some time changes have certainly happened in the past, how OS X those led?

  • How to get the Subvi (the virtual path is in .exe) reference in Run Time System

    Hello world

    The problem is how to get the reference of the Sub - VI in run time system, when the Subvi is in .exe after construction.

    More details:

    Top of page vi called the Subvi dynamically, so that the Subvi is always included, and the source object is the application.exe.

    After the above configuration, the Sub - VI will be the application.exe. For example, the path of Subvi est...\application.exe\SubVI.vi

    So, how to get the reference of the Subvi in Run Time System?

    I can't do it when you use 'open reference VI' with le...\application.exe\SubVI.vi path in the run time system.

    In fact, I can create a file to include the Subvi, rather than build the Subvi in application.exe, then I can get the convenintly reference. But this isn't my favourate average.

    Thank you

    chenyin

    That is the problem. Call a Subvi dynamic means users could change, but it is also very attractive.

    The dynamic call should be used in a user control, but some parade can avoid problems.

    It depends on why you use dynamic calls...-online 2 main ways:

    -Dynamic call are used to maintain a scalable framework for the code without acting on the executable file-online a single VI distribution managed by the administrator/developer

    -Dynamic call are used to provide a collection of "external" characteristic that could be enriched by the administrator/developer. For example, you provide your customers a set of selectable custom signal filters in the executable.

    In 2 cases, you are only able to assess the skills of the users to know if there is a risk of damage, if there is a change.

    So to stay only master a parade might be to provide dynamic VI without a schema, but with the problem of maintenance, since no in-place editing and more attention to manage distribution.

    Another way is to hide the actual distribution to user-online call dynamic VI but it without name as *.vi but others (a repellent name as system of OS name ) or simply without extension in order to attract not user... but that's debatable...

    Another more difficult but more secure method is to create a consistency check before your routine (version, user, modified date,...)
