I just tried to update the drivers for my card through the Device Manager.  He told me that my drivers are up to date.  I checked the manufacturer's website and immediately located the drivers updated for my card.  I installed the Nvidia driver detection software to make sure it never happens again.

My concern is that I don't know if it's a problem of Nvidia or if it's a matter of Windows.  Does anyone else have this problem?

    Hello

When you go into devices and right click on Device Manager and update driver there, what he's doing runs directly through Windows Update (which is NOT the latest version of the driver for this device).

If you are looking to update your device drivers, always go the manufacturer's website, like you did.

    Kind regards

  • NVIDIA Graphics Driver Update

Hello, on 10 April, I got an update for my GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, via Windows update (was marked as a significant update). Since then, I get error messages in the observer of events that show the NVIDIA Daemon failure and updater. The message I get is "this application has requested execution to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the support team of the applications for more information. "" Microsoft Visual c++ C Runtime Library. " "In the event viewer, details are listed as"the service has not started due to a failure of the connection. "and"the specified account password has expired. "How am I supposed to know the password assigned to this service? Should I roll back driver? I can't get any help from support from NVIDIA. I hope someone has met this thing of password before and can tell me what to do. Furthermore, service logon is not local, but something else I do not recognize. Thanks for any help or advice you can give.

I know that you have worked out, but if you have problems to download updated driver that you can always go to Windows icon in bottom left of your screen click on it. Then click on 'Computer', next to 'Computer' at the top left and you will see"System Properties", click on that when the window opens with information about your computer on the right to the left is a blue shaded area... He said; ' " Control Panel Home", it says"Device Manager","Remote setting", etc. below click"Device Manager ". A window will appear which is a zone with the name of your computer, this "computer", "Drives", "Graphics", etc... Click on the small arrow to the left of "Graphics cards" and NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 comes down, click and it will transfer to the Blues, right click a box opens indicating 'Update Driver', 'Disable', "Uninstall", "Scan for hardware changes" and "Properties".  Click on 'Properties', click on the "Driver" tab, you will be able to see the version and date of the last update, you can click on the 'Détails' button to the bottom of the tab if you want to (it's about certificate info-programmer/techno and not necessary). Under the "details" button is the 'Update Driver' button, click on that and go from there.  In my view, that it asks you if you want to get the update online or on your computer... obviously you want from Microsoft online and it will update from there. I had to do when something or another would be not updated so I had to manually update and that's how you do it.  If I were you I'd look at all the side buttons (arrows left next to each item in the box Device Manager so that you are familiar with what is there, just in case you have to do a manual update or if you encounter any computer problems.  Because at the top of the device so Manager box you click on a subsidiary question (like this, but with that you have problems) a printer does not work or something of the kind not only makes the point to become blue, but the top of the Device Manager box can display the icons that you can fly over and do things like searching for changes to programs , drivers, etc and see if anything was changed at random and go back and update a driver or go back to an older driver and things like that.  As SC Tom, I want to be the master of the destiny of my computer, I have my computer tell me when there are updates and I decide what is updated and sometimes I come to do my updates myself.

The device name and model:  HP 14-r002ne laptop.

    Question:  I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 pro (64-bit). I went on the site of HP support to download the latest Nvidia Geforce 820 m driver and software. Here is the link to this page;

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-14-R000-notebook-PC-series/6874538/model/7185495/drivers#Z7_3...

    I downloaded the latest driver available;

    Graphic driver NVIDIA (HD) (10.18.13.5384 Rev.A) (October 7, 2015)

File name = (sp72727.exe). When I run the file, I get the following message:

Here is the link to the file ""http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72727.exe " "

Please help me either by providing a link to a working file, or repair one posted on the support page.

Prior to asking that question, I saw that someone else has the same problem with the file (sp72727.exe). But it has not received a response, only what I believe to be an automated response asking his information material which is irrelevant to this problem.

  • Satellite P850-KVE - 640 M Nvidia mobile driver update - not available

    Hello

I'm running a P850-KVE series laptop PC with the installed Nvidia Geforce 640 M.

In my opinion, he needs driver support "numbered" - that download Nvidia if just throw that no compatible hardware is found. Is there a way to get around this - or is it likely that Tosh would later inform the pilot?

I am aware of graphics cards change their drivers often - but ultimately as I use the laptop for games/faffing around features such as saving energy etc are not very important to me - where as having a better experience with the driver is.

I looked at a website that claims to offer modified INF files to run the new drivers and one) I don't quite understand the process involved and b) I don't want to cause damage to the system either!

    Thanks for any advice.

    Pete

    Hello

It s has a known fact that cell phone manufacturers use modified drivers. These drivers are modified for mobile use. If its always recommended to use these drivers. The use of drivers of graphics chip manufacturers would lead to higher performance, but also to the higher heat dissipation and high temperature levels.
    So what to do?

If your laptop works with the current graphics card driver, don t try to update.
If you need an update due to problems of compatibility of games, well, in this case, you can try to use a driver from nVidia page.
But the use of these drivers is at your own risk

Installing these drivers through Device Manager.
Here, you can use an advanced installation procedure that allows you to retrieve the driver files in the folder that you downloaded from the nvidia page.

  • Pavilion dv8 ct1000 Nvidia Graphics Driver Update failure

Just a note that my HP Pavilion dv8 laptop with NVidia GeForce GT 230 M graphics card ct1000 fails systematically on an update of the driver being pushed by HP & Microsoft.  The driver of current work is the 8.17.12.5896 version.  HP & Microsoft Updates-ITMU continue to try to push a updated driver (version 8.17.12.6099), and whenever I am hosting this updated driver, PC, on reboot, never took the WELCOME screen.  I tried the Guru3 driver cleaner utility to remove completely all residual driver, all without effect.  Uninstall the old driver, run the utility driver cleaner, disable the anti-virus, then load the new driver, all the results in the same problem, have no past the WELCOME screen a reboot.

So why this updated driver does not on my PC?

He is a former rider too, '260.99' this one is 266.58

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-Win7-WinVista-64bit-266.58-WHQL-driver.html

Here's the latest from NVIDIA, save the file on the desktop using IE8 and install it from there and not in a temporary folder.

If she will not install, we look at that later. I'm running this on my dv8 and it seems stable so far.

How is your present driver running, need to be updated?

Thank you Daniel for answering my message. While the NVIDIA GEFORCE driver is an option, my driver is INTEL (R). I have since solved the problem by installing the BIOS update. Then, I was able to successfully install the graphics driver updated. Thanks again.

  • Game: update driver for NVIDIA GeForce - Sat P20

I'm not able to run a updated driver for my NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600 on Satellite p20-521. can someone help me please.

    Hi Cuong

I guess you use a bad video driver or a bad graphics card driver update procedure.
Toshiba recommends to use own graphics drivers. All the drivers for laptops Toshiba Europe you will find on this site:

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

After having successfully downloaded, please unzip the driver. There you should find a setup.exe. Please install it.

Well, if this procedure doesn't work please go to Device Manager and select the graphics card and right click. Then, you select the option Update driver. The source of the driver is the driver download.

  • Update Windows for Vista - NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS driver errors

Update Vista Home Basic 6002:SP2.  Secunia Personal Software Inspector and MS Security Essentials confirm the system software is updated.

Windows Update optional update for NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS on 4/5 and 4/11.  Updates have been declared as 'Successful' but has caused problems of compatibility with the resolution.  (http://winqual.microsoft.com/support/?driverid=20418057) More details below.

HW - Dell 530 with GeForce 8400 GS with BIOS 62.98.71.0.5 - 512 MB of memory dedicated - 767 MB shared memory.

CRT is detected as driver MS running generic PnP 6.0.6001.18000.  The display is an AMW CM1722PF 17 "CRT with a preferred resolution of the 1024x768x70Hz.  (IIRC, MS drivers for Intel 8031 correctly detected VGA display modes, rather than generic report.)

On both NVIDIA driver update attempts, Windows Update reports the success and I rebooted (despite the lack of obligation to restart).  Display was OK on the screen connection, but limited to 640 x 480 on desktop after login.  Edges of the Office had fallen.

In addition, Panel-> NVIDIA Control Panel translates "the NVIDIA Display Panel Extension cannot be created... Possible reasons include the incorrect version.  Reinstall display drivers can fix this problem. »

After the failure of 4/5, I uninstalled Windows Update display drivers and reinstalled on reboot.  Got the NVIDIA Display Panel and appropriate video modes.  Everything was going well until we repeated this Windows Update NVIDIA driver update fiasco 4/11.

Have not repeated the manual Reinstall driver this time, I'm puzzled why Windows Update can't get this right.    This is a very common piece of hardware and you would think that there is regression tests for driver updates.

This makes me wary of Windows Update.  Suggestions?

    Hello

I posted an incorrect link, changed now.

    http://www.AddictiveTips.com/Windows-tips/disable-Windows-Update-device-driver-search-prompt/

The TechNet post link also has the same information.

Or here - manually on a single computer

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730606 (WS.10) .aspx

Those who work in many cases, I've tried. If you have a current Windows
Update that tries to update a driver, then right-click on it in Windows
Updates and HIDE. There should be no other available.

    I hope this helps.

  • lost the external monitor feature: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330 M video card needs to update the driver in El Capitan?

    Hello
Apparently Apple no longer supports the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330 M 256 MB and did not update the driver in the operating system to account for its recent update Linux (below)? • Update problem NVidia GeForce GT 230 M driver

I have a HP Pavilion dv8 with an Intel Core i7, Windows 7 64 - bit and NVidia GeForce GT 230 M video card.  He is currently leading a pilot dated 05/02/2010, version 8.16.11.8906 (the same version of the driver from the list of updates of HP drivers for this PC).

Updates Windows 7 pushes a NVidia driver updated, dated 16/10/2010, version 8.17.12.6099.  If I let the update, the PC will not get past the 'Welcome' of Windows screen on startup and will make a noise when on this screen that is normally not.  The only way I can get past this problem is to restart the PC in safe mode and do back this driver or use to go back to a restore point before this driver update.  I made sure that I reduced the potential causes of this problem starting only update the video driver.

What's wrong?  What I would do to that will make this updated video driver to work on my PC?

The problem I had with the pilot who started this topic has been resolved.  I was advised to load the latest driver from nVidia directly, which is the version of the 8.17.12.6658 pilot, dated Date 07/01/2011.  I tried this driver and it worked well.  I don't get everything grows Microsoft or HP to update the video driver, so I'm a happy camper now.
