Office Live add-in 1.5 repeatedly offered updated

original title: Windows Update tries several times to install an update that has already succeeded. However, this update does not appear in the Add/Remove Programs list.

The update is for Office Live add-in 1.5. How Windows update in order to stop trying to install this update over and over again? Appreciate your help.

Hi Aziz, I appreciate your help. I tried all the fixes you suggest (great tips by the way), but none seemed to work. Finally, I tried to rerun the periodic update. This time, I dropped the issue "Accept or deny" and check the box do not display. I know that this has not fixed the problem, but the symptoms have disappeared. Thanks for your help, Bill 797

The solutions I've found are for Windows Update for Vista and before, but not for Windows 7 64 IT. I got the error 80070643 while trying to install Office Live add-in 1.5 update. All solutions... ? I appreciate your help.

What I've done, I downloaded Windows Installer Clean-up and installed, I uninstalled Office Live 1.4 and then once that is done, I have tried to install the Office Live 1.5 update, which is that I had problems with and installed without any more problems. As I mentioned previously, outages I found solutions were below to include servers, but none for Windows 7, Windows Vista and even suggestions. But, I really appreciate your time and efforts. Tnaks again.

  • Office Live add-in 1.5 update not necessary, but continually trying to update

I have problems with the sequence of Microsoft Office Live Add-in 1.5 update.

I use a 64 bit version of Windows 7.  I already had the updated Microsoft Windows service to start (to delay) at startup.  I changed it to start immediately at startup now.

I checked to see that the program Microsoft Office Live is in the list programs and features.  I checked in MS Word 2007 (I have Office Enterprise 2007) and save to Office Live and open from Office Live are both present in the menu "file".  These data suggest that the program works correctly.

My problem is the following: install the Windows Update detects the Microsoft Office Live Add-in 1.5 is an "important" update  I accept the terms of the license, and when the update will download and installation and the Manager gives me a Green Shield saying 'updates have been installed correctly.  Under this message, the details of the particular update say '' not necessary ''.  A few seconds later, the Windows Update Manager detects that an update is needed and is going through exactly the same process.  I can do this 20 times in a row and he will do exactly the same thing.

I would like to install the new update, or find the source of the problem that leads this snap to update, but leads to an empty sequence.  What is a registry problem?  Y at - it a bug related to this Add-in particular?

Could be a viral problem?  I ran a OneCare security sweep that brought some questions of registry, but no virus problems, but eventually these problems solved and a 2nd scan after reboot gave no error.

I ran Malware Bytes, Microsoft Security Essentials and an AVG scan (after you have uninstalled the MOUSE of the computer... I don't keep these 2 on the computer at the same time in the event of a conflict would be.)  Each of these tests came back negative.

I run the sequence of update via a wireless connection is firewalled by a customer of Cisco NAC, which requires the MSE will be installed on the computer.  I take part the powers appropriate to the connection and can surf the net, download updates to 3rd party software and install other updates to Windows, such as the definitions of MSE updates.

Please thank you in advance for your help and advice.

  • Office Live Add-in 1.5 doesn't have x 524 - high priority - 0 Installation error code

I have Windows XP, SP3, the publishing house, 2002. It is set for automatic updates. Today (18/04/12) I tried to install a high priority, Office Live Add-in 1.5 update. But there is no setup, error Code 0 x 524.  I tried to download the software "Fix - It". The update is not yet installed.

Why can't I install the update? What is a disadvantage if I don't install it? I always install high priority updates. Is there a security problem? I have Windows Live Messenger, but I do not use it.

    ·         Is this the only update that is a failure or other updates as well?

To resolve this problem, you may need to restart the Office Source Engine (OSE) service and try again to install the latest updates for Office products.

To restart the Office Source Engine (OSE) service

You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.

1 open administrative tools by clicking theStart button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Administrative Tools.

    2. double-click onServices.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. If theOffice Source Engine service is disabled, double-click it to open the service properties.

    4. click on the listStartup type , click Automatic (delayed start), and then clickapply.

    5. underService status, click Start
