OFFICEJET PRO 8100 drivers for Windows 2000

Are there drivers or workarounds for the 8100 connected to a system inherited from Windows 2000?

Hi LaBassinger,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand that you want to know if it has all the drivers Windows 2000 available.

I'll be happy to help you.

There are no drivers available at HP, except the pre-installed Windows drivers.

There are 3 generic drivers, that you can try.
The Deskjet 990c, Deskjet 9800 and the Deskjet 970Cse.

I don't know if they will work but for Windows 2000.

1. click on the start menu.
2. click on Control Panel.

3. open the Printers folder.

4. Select Add a printer.

Follow the steps, select the HP name and the printer in the list.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
Have a wonderful day!

I don't want to break this fine computer running system.

I don't want to have to reload everything in a new system.

Simply because it is old, it seems that HP has decided to does not provide not printer drivers for it.

I connected to the printer on the network, the IP address and tried some older printer drivers.

The printer works fine if I don't have a color.

It would be nice to be able to print in color.

Is there a color driver that is compatible with this printer and Windows 2000?

Select another driver from HP - HP Color Laser Jet 4500 worked for me color

go to the printing preferences - paper quality - check the color

go to color management - you may need to add a color here profile

I don't know how this is required, but it works now

  • Tecra 8100 drivers for Windows XP

I recently installed XP on a separate partition. My Tecra 8100 originally 98SE. Now, I find that some drivers don't load in XP... as for the PCMCIA card ect. Can anyone tell me where to find the same. In the list of Toshiba drivers download, I don't see the driver for the PCMCIA card.
Also something very funny... My DVD-ROM cannot read DVD/CD "colored." I mean the new discs are bright colorful like red/blue/black etc. on the side of the data. My DVD ROM reads the white discs but not these ones colors. Heard of this before?

    Hello

Tecra 8100 is not supported for Windows XP. I can't explain the problem with the DVD or CD, but you can try to find the last WXP display on the site of the producer driver. The graphics card on your unit is S3 Savage MX.

I bought a new Macbook Pro with MAC OS 10.9 (mavericks).

It comes with support for the drivers for the HP 8100, but driver features are very limited compared to my old Macbook pro.

For example, it does not print in grayscale. Also I have trouble getting access to the HP Solution Center.

Is there a solution for this?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8100: Can not find the driver for the Officejet Pro 8100 online

I've recently updated to Win10 (the free update, I do not know how many bits). I also then changed my wireless carrier. Now my laptop is not connecting to the new hub, and it seems that there is no driver more - so I don't know if these changes are the problem, or one of them.

I tried to install a new driver and I first started the process, but the printer not print report pages, and then the laptop don't would not recognize the USB cable, even though it had been plugged in all the time. I tried to remove the cable and reinsert; also turning the printer market, but cela did not work.

I also have Virgin and with them her reset the hub, but the hub still not connect to the printer.

Now when I go to the page of drivers hp and it identifies my product, it then tells me there is no drivers for this printer now, and I should come back later in case they are developing.

I can't believe that this is true. Can you please give me a link to a page where I can find and install the driver?

May also explain why the cable USB is not recognized?

    Thank you.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8100: Lost my printer drivers (after a Windows 10 update)!

    Hello

After the recent Windows 10 updates (one installed on Christmas day), I lost my (custom installed) to the printer drivers. No big deal I thought, ONLY MIcrosoft MOST inconvienience - I'll reinstall just them. But when I open the properties of the printer Panel, I found that ALL ADVANCED TAB where I needed access to reinstall drivers is now GRAY and completely unaccessable! I not only lost my custom drivers, I also lost my second tray of the printer (installed optionally) capacity! YES, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Now I need help to reinstall (they gave me specific instructions for installation, so I won't bumble worse trying to install them differently (as a regular driver) without confirmation first.)
This is a PERFECT EXAMPLE of why we should be allowed to choose for outselves when and what updates to install on OUR computer! I checked the Windows Update history and there is NOTHING there that would strike even he would have had to change printer drivers, nor I anthing that would affect them being changed (for example, allowing control HP from my PC to automatically updated drivers), but clearly something changted them.

What I HAD... I use a printer Officejet Pro 8100 bought two years ago February next with the option second tray of the installed printer. I also use Officejet 8600 drivers in order to be able to print my graphic files properly (these drivers were recommended on this forum once I have posted having problems printing after the first installation. These drivers worked PERFECTLY in all of my PC (running Windows XP, 8.1, and 10), but now with the missing options, everytting is printing through the upper status bar (where I have a THICK paper). I don't have the ability to choose which try to print (Tray 1 or 2), and I need to change paper whenever I want to print on different paper (I always had a THICK paper on top (Tray 1) and plain paper in the lower part (tray 2) because it would not print thick paper from the tray at the bottom.

To use the 8600 drivers, I was given specific instructions (on this forum) on install in the section "NEW DRIVER" of the ADVANCED TAB in the properties of the printer. Now that I don't have access to this tab, I need to know if there is a way to access new (my preferred method) OR another way to install (for example just install them as if I would install the printer (8600))?

It's free enough explainatory tab FULL area is GRAYED OUT, but in case there are any doubts, I have attached is a screenshot showing what he looks like.

I apprecate any help you could offer.

    Kind regards... Chugbug

    OK, now it's really WEID!

I tried during the last 24 hours to get to the Panel in question, including the restart of Windows at least half a dozen times without success.  But now tonight after that I dug around the different tabs, once again, INCLUDING clicking on through security and permissions panels (but not to make changes) AND for posting my question here, all in the advanced Panel was suddenly accessible once more!

I reinstalled my 8600 drivers again, then reset my printing (default) preferences (paper 2 / plain plateau), and everything is good again (kumbaya...)!

Good thing, I took a screenshot of it (grey) or I can't believe myself!

    Happy holidays!  Chugbug

  • Need drivers for Windows XP edition family 64-bit for Satellite Pro A100

    Hello

Where can I find drivers for Windows XP 64 - bit drivers for my laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 (PSAACE) series? I was looking on
[this site | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU], but there is for the 32-bit version of Windows XP.

    Thank you

Yes, you are directly on the European driver of Toshiba page you will find only the 32-bit drivers XP and Vista.
It seems that the Vista 64 bit drivers are not being released especially for this series of laptop.

    But don t give up buddy;
Several series of laptops are equipped with the same features. SO try a few only Vista 64 bit drivers from other series that supports the same devices.

In addition, you can search on some external 3 Web sites from third parties for the Vista 64 bit drivers.
Many manufacturers of chips provides 64-bit Vista drivers own address for specific devices.

    Good bye

  • Re: Satellite Pro L500-196: what drivers for Windows XP

    Hi all!

I just bought a satellite Pro L500-196 that comes with installed Windows7.

However for the use of the older software I need for my work, I want to install Windows XP from my old laptop.
I want to configure a dual-boot environment, so I use Win7 for most of the time, but be able to boot XP, whenever I need to.

The support page for this model lists 96 drivers for Windows XP for this model.
Which of these drivers do I need?
And there at - it instructions in the order in which to install them? Or can I download/order a cd (or cd-image) with all the drivers for Windows XP

As far as I know, after you install Windows XP on a second partition, I need a DVD of Windows7 installation to fix the boot manager.
    Otherwise WinXP sill only start.
My laptop came without such a DVD, there is just a recovery partition.
Is it possible to use recovery system to make Win7 start again or do I really need a DVD of Win7?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jürgen from Germany

    > The support page for this model lists 96 drivers for Windows XP for this model.
    > Which of these drivers do I need?
There is no required special installation order
But I would start with common as drivers:
Display driver, driver LAN, Wlan driver, Modem driver, card reader controller, driver for the touchpad, etc..

The driver control must be installed before the controls (utility).
    Try it simply.

    > As far as I know, after you install Windows XP on a second partition, I need a DVD of Windows7 installation to fix the boot manager.
This is right. I had the same problem with Vista and the boot Vista DVD to repair the Vista Boot Manager

    > Is it possible to use recovery system to make Win7 start again or do I really need a DVD of Win7?
Not because it s not the same thing.
The recovery image will format the HARD drive and partitions and will delete the installed Win XP.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100, Windows 7 64-bit.

Print is not centered on the page. large left margin and missing letters on the right side of the page. The exact same txt printed on a different printer is perfectly centered. This printer is on a network with 3 different computers and this printer print offset any source.

Sorry Ginny! Go to our website www.hp.com/go/support, select the green box on the left side of the page, then search for your printer model (in this case an Officejet Pro 8100).

This will take you to a page to select your operating system, and then below it will be links to various downloads related to your printer for your operating system. Sect most mark next to "Firmware" and click on the link to be redirected to the download page.

    Download and run the file.

I would like to know how it goes!
