  If your software is still running on your old machine, you can try to save it now. See if there is an Option in the Help menu. If it works, you don't need to know your serial number to get the software registered, but your number will subsequently indicate in your adobe account.

  Just upgraded computers (on a 2008 MacBook) to a 2014 of MacBook Air (13, early 2014).  I had Audition CS5.5 on my old Mac, so I disabled it, installed on the new Air and activated.  Everything seemed to install smoothly, but when I open the program and open an audio file, it simply doesn't work, plain and simple.  I touched the game and nothing happens. I try with the space bar and nothing happens.  The play button lights up but nothing plays.  I can add effects to titles and see that changes are in the waveforms, but can not hear back.  Even after changing, I can't save these changes.

  The specifics:

  13 "MacBook Air (early 2014)

  1.4 GHz Intel Core i5

  DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHz

  Running OSX Yosemite (10.10.3, even my old MacBook with no problems)

  With respect to the hearing, it is CS5.5.  There do not appear to be updates available.  I know that I can go to CS6 and I have no problem to pay for upgrade, but it will only do it if I know for a fact that the issue will be resolved.  And honestly, unless there are updates that are earth-shattering, I'm perfectly happy with 5.5.

  So there.  Anyone has any ideas what could be the problem?  I did some research, but can't seem to find someone with I'm having exactly the problem.  Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

  I have multiple iPhoto libraries stored in the folder my pictures. If I click on an iPhoto library somewhat current bridge, iPhoto lance and (according to the version of iPhoto package), displays the photo library in iPhoto.

  I hope that you are not in a surprise but a MacBook Air not backup to iCloud. It can record data in iCloud drive (if you saved it specifically to this place) and can synchronize Photos, Contacts, etc to iCloud if you had set it to do. Mavericks (10.9) has a lot of memory more 10.7 and 10.8 were probably not be a good idea to upgrade to. Snow Leopard was 10.6 so would be going backwards. If your computer is too slow with 10.7 then back to 10.6, which is even less destitute of resources that 10.7 is would be a good choice. The thing to remember is that Apple is no longer provides updates for older versions of the operating system which make the computer more vulnerable to security problems.
