on a table AND a base view a datablock

Hi all. I'm on developer suite 10 g.
I want to start a block for some items on a table and some points of view.
I would like to make a join condition in the where clause of the block and in the query data source name property I put tables and views separated by commas.
When I go the duration I cannot run a query error.
How can I do this from the table block and the view?
Thank you for the collaboration,
Fabrizio

You can base an Oracle Forms on a join block, but you must qualify completely each element for forms know what table/view, the element also belongs. Take a look at Oracle Forms block based on a join of white paper for more information.

Hope this helps,

    Is this possible in 4.1 to add a FK between a table and a view (off of course)?

    If I'm in a view, it seems that I can define a FK to another view or a table, but if I start with a table, some views appear in the list. The view already has a defined PK.

    Is it normal?

    Use case: I have a table of generic code, so I'm set up views on the code for each type of code table. Then, I want at least diagram CF from specific code view of the code typed column on a table for the sub.

    Hello Kent,

    Is this possible in 4.1 to add a FK between a table and a view (off of course)?

    Yes.  You can do this by clicking on the icon of the new foreign key above the diagram, then by selecting the view first, then the table.

    I connected an enhancement request to allow a foreign key to a view to be added using the table properties dialog box.

    Thanks for pointing it.

  • New tables and indexes created do not appear in the view dba_segments

    Hi all

    I created 3 tables and indexes, but these items do not appear in dba_segments views. Is this a normal behavior? Previously, with dictionary managed tablespace, I can specify the least possible to create, at the table/index is created. But I don't know how works the locally managed tablespace. Please do advice. Thank you much in advance.

    I am using Oracle 11 g R2 (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (x 64), running on Windows 7.

    To reproduce this problem, I created the tablespaces as follows:

    CREATE TABLESPACE CUST_DATA
    DATAFILE ' d:\app\asus\oradata\orcl11gr2\CUST_DATA01. DBF' SIZE 512K
    AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT MAXSIZE 2000 K 256K

    CREATE TABLESPACE CUST_INDX
    DATAFILE ' d:\app\asus\oradata\orcl11gr2\CUST_INDX. DBF' SIZE 256K
    AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT MAXSIZE 2000 K 128K
    MANAGEMENT UNIFORM LOCAL 128K SIZE MEASURE
    SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO;

    CREATE TABLE CUSTOMER_MASTER (CUST_ID VARCHAR2 (10))

    CRE_USER VARCHAR2 (5) DEFAULT USER,.
    CRE_TIME TIMESTAMP (3) DEFAULT SYSTIMESTAMP.
    MOD_USER VARCHAR2 (5).
    MOD_TIME TIMESTAMP (3),
    CONSTRAINT PK_CUSTOMER_MASTER PRIMARY KEY (CUST_ID) USING INDEX TABLESPACE CUST_INDX)
    TABLESPACE CUST_DATA;

    SQL > SELECT TABLE_NAME, nom_tablespace
    USER_TABLES 2
    3 WHERE TABLE_NAME LIKE '% CUST. "

    TABLE_NAME, TABLESPACE_NAME
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------
    CUSTOMER_MASTER CUST_DATA

    SQL > SELECT INDEX_NAME, nom_tablespace
    2 FROM USER_INDEXES
    3 WHERE TABLE_NAME LIKE '% CUST. "

    INDEX_NAME TABLESPACE_NAME
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------
    PK_CUSTOMER_MASTER CUST_INDX

    SQL > SELECT nom_segment, SEGMENT_TYPE, nom_tablespace, BYTES
    2 FROM WHERE USER_SEGMENTS;

    no selected line

    An extension to what Sybrand said:

    There is a parameter called differed_segment_creation, who runs the behavior.

    If it is set to TRUE (the default), no segments will be allocated until you fill your table / index.

    Try to insert a row. You will see your table and index in dba_segments.

  • Easy to change the owner of the TABLE (and according to indexes and views) available?

    I want to change the Owver from a TABLE (and the owner of all VIEWS and INDEXES in function).
    The only way that I know so far is something like

    CREATE TABLE < newschema >. < table_name > select * from < oldschema >. < tablename >;

    Then, slide old TABLE
    Recreate it possible all the CLUES and the views.

    It is kind of bulky.
    Especially when I don't know what indexes exist for a certain TABLE.
    When I investigate this and I have found 4 indexes so much work needs to be done.

    Is there a shorter, smarter way to accomplish the task.
    I prefer a SINGLE task of all-for-statement

    Those who are not the tables, they are seen. Try looking under administration | Schema | Views with schema as SYS. Keep in mind a lot of V$ names, such as V$ INSTANCE, are public synonyms view V_$. For example, V$ INSTANCE is a public synonym for V_$ INSTANCE.

  • Re: view opaque and the materialized view

    Hi Experts,

    I want some clarification of opaque and view view in the physical layer OBIEE materialized

    -> what is the main difference between the opaque view and materialized in the RPD perspective view, we have to do this at the level of the RPD or DB.

    -> I want the list of opaque opinion and materialized in the RPD view how I should do.

    -> How opaque views will degrade the performance and how a materialized view will improve performance at the level of the report.

    -> In scenarios that we use view opaque and the view materialized (if possible with a scenario for the best permanent basis).

    Thanks in advance.

    I want some clarification of opaque and view view in the physical layer OBIEE materialized

    -> What is the main difference between opaque view and create the materialized view in the RPD point of view, we have to do this at the level of the RPD or DB.

    Opaque views is a SQL statement that is defined in the physical layer, OBIEE will use all in the construction of a SQL query. In a way it's not different from a database view, except it is set in OBIEE only. Alternatively, you can deploy an Opaque view, which pushes its definition in the database. Read more about it here: work with physical tables, Cubes and joins - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1)

    A materialized view (MV) is a database concept where the results of a SQL statement are physicalised like a table, and therefore as OBIEE is a MV is just another physical array

    -> If I want a list of the opaque views and materialized in the RPD view how I should do.

    To find opaque views, use the function «Repository of applications» administration tool Search physical Tables and set up a filter on the Type = Select

    Screenshot: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s16/sh/5c843e47-bff1-4d4b-b847-be98f3a2ec09/cf060a6cd9805f687fa0b5b46f3f0020

    To find materialized views, you will need to query the catalog in your database (for example select object_name, object_type from user_objects where type_objet = "MATERIALIZED VIEW" ;) and compare it to the list of tables in your SPR)

    -> How opaque views will degrade the performance and how a materialized view will improve performance at the level of the report.

    A materialized view is materialized, in other words, the results are already stored in the database. This means usually there will be more efficient because all the joins and aggregations, etc. will be settled in advance.

  • How to create a grid with the tables and Boolean values?

    As part of a larger project, I'm trying to create a Subvi, which will allow me to spend a "cursor" in a 3 x 3 matrix.

    It should be 2 Boolean inputs, one for move them down in the table and the other to move them to the right. Once reached the edge of the table, the "cursor" will start back at the beginning.

    I have a vague idea of a table to 2 dimensions with LED. Once 'down' has been selected, the corresponding light to (0,0), light (0.1). Goes the same for the button 'right '. When 'down' is pressed (0.2), the LED should turn off, and LED (0,0) must light up.

    I'm sure it has something to do with the initialization of the tables, but I can't seem to find the right way to do it.

    Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

    Your array is always empty.  Look at the detailed help for the function page replace table subset.  He says that the function has no effect if the specified index refers to a location outside the table.

    What you see on the Panel is only a view and has nothing to do with what is in the table.

  • To loop through the table and use the values returned in another query

    Hello

    I tried to do something very simple, but still can not.

    I am trying to iterate on a table and use each line of a column in a where clause to display a query clause.

    For example:

    I want to retrieve all users of dba_users pass it to a clause where clause in a query to show for example account_status and profile of each user. But I want to do it in a way if I can turn the result in an html table.

    I tried too much really, so I'll post something that does not work, but which I think will show the problem I have,

    BEGIN
     FOR i IN (SELECT username from dba_users order by 1)
     LOOP
     EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'select account_status from dba_users where username like ''||i.username||''';
     END LOOP;
     END;
     /

    Example of what I want to achieve:

    Suppose that there are two users, SYS, and SCOTT:

    USERNAME                       PROFILE                        ACCOUNT_STATUS
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------ --------------------------------
    SYS                            DEFAULT                        OPEN

    USERNAME                       PROFILE                        ACCOUNT_STATUS
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------ --------------------------------
    SCOTT                            DEFAULT                        OPEN

  • Iterator for the table and form is a problem during the cleaning of the records

    Hello

    I use JDev 12.1.2.

    I have an object of the detail view. I represent a part of its fields in a table and the rest in a form. I use the same iterator. Basically, I dragged and dropped the object even from the view of the data control and created a table and form layout with the fields I wanted in each provision. I put in place a clear feature for the rows in the table with a clear"" key. -on click I delete the line of the iterator in the managed bean. When I do this the selected record is deleted and the next record is displayed. But fields entered in the form layout also gets deleted. (the form should also be showing the record currently selected - it shows but entrable fields in the form are deleted because of claire that I did on the previous line.) If anyone can help get this resolved?

    Not use the same iterator for the tables and forms here? The links are in the row (row.bindings...) for the table, but for the form it is (links...). The Delete on the current row operation is causing the iterator delete all fields of links instead of from the line? Please shed some light.

    Thank you

    How do you rank on the iterator compensation?

    use resetActionListener in your clear button and let us know what is happening?

  • change the source tables in the materialized view

    If I change the name of the source table in a materialized view, I have to delete and recreate the MV? For example, My MV uses a table from a DBlink. Instead I want to physically copy the table in the schema, and then create the MV using the local table, then change MV to use the remote table and I expect to start refreshing the MV for incremental data. Can I do it?

    No, you can't.  Oracle has no way of knowing that the modified table (name) is identical to the original table.

  • How to insert into a GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE and get the data from it?

    The requrement is
    Split the string ENTRY point on the base and store it in a Collection. And the values of the collection will be stored in a global temporary table. Then, I'm updating some other table based on the data from the temporary table.

    There is in fact no error message. But there is no data in the temporary table and also no change in the update statement

    First of all, I'm creatiing a global temporary table only once outside the procedure.

    CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY table GLt (data_element number)

    create or replace procedure test_proc (p_in_string VARCHAR2) is
    i the number: = 0;
    number of POS: = 0;
    CLOB lv_str: = p_in_string;
    p_delim VARCHAR2 (1): = ', ';

    TYPE t_array IS TABLE OF VARCHAR2 (20) INDEX directory.
    t_array channels;

    BEGIN

    -cutting of string input and store in the strings (i) collection

    POS: = instr (lv_str, p_delim, 1, 1);
    WHILE (pos! = 0) LOOP
    i: = i + 1;
    Strings (i): = substr(lv_str,1,pos-1);
    lv_str: = substr (lv_str, pos + 1, length (lv_str));
    POS: = instr (lv_str, p_delim, 1, 1);
    IF pos = 0 THEN
    Strings (i + 1): = lv_str;
    END IF;
    END LOOP;

    run immediately "drop table TWG;
    run immediately ' CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY table (data_element number) TWG on commit preserve rows ";

    FORALL i in strings.first... Strings.Last
    INSERT INTO VALUES TWG (strings (i));
    commit;

    Update first_tbl set PIN is "XXX" where first_col in (select data_element from TWG);.
    commit;

    END test_proc;

    Remove the two execute immediate line. They are wrong.

    And then use the table in your code that you created at the beginning. The name is GLT.
    And delete the first commit. This validation would empty the temporary table of GLT.

    You get an error? Or it does not work as expected?

    Also, show how you call the procedure.
